Our centre supports people with special needs, if you are approached please be mindful and ask for help if necessary. 4. If you book a court for personal use please understand that if you cancel the court on the day payment is still required. Please do not book a court if you do not agree to this rule. 5. When booking a court please state surname and membership number. 6. If you borrow a club racquet please note if it is returned broken a payment of 20 is required. 7. The Box ladders are for ladies/girls and Gents/boys, doubles teams can be mixed. We also appreciate that some players may play in other competitions or be on holiday. If this happens details must be provided to retain position within Box Ladder. Each week a player does not attend and no details provided the player is demoted a box, after two no shows the team will be demoted to the bottom box.

4 Fee s each time you play in the Box Ladder is 6.00, this is to be paid before going on to court. You can join anytime during season and you can leave. There is no commitment except we think you will have so much fun you will comeback each week! The season will run until June 18 th Each week a maximum of 12pts will be awarded to the top team, second team 11pts 3rd team 10pts and so on. For Doubles a second table will exist using the same format for points but for individual players. If a doubles team requires to change a player during the season the team will start again at zero points, however the individual player points will remain and continue to accrue points. If the team reverts back to the original team points will continue to accrue for that team. Position will be maintained within Box Ladder if reason for changed is within Box Ladder rules. For Doubles event there are trophies available for both Team and individual. Rules: 1. Pay fee s before playing 2. Make sure you arrive 15 minutes before you are due to play. 3. Games will start on time and you are only allowed a minute warm up. 4. Each box consists of four teams 5. Once round robin has been completed scores will be shown, top team will move to next box, team at the bottom will move to the box below. 6. If any team shares same points it will go to points scored and against. If this is tied it will go against scores head to head. 7. Shuttles, a shuttle cannot be changed unless the flight is deemed damaged. A slow shuttle is not damaged. 8. If shuttle is damaged the team with serve is the only team that can request a shuttle change. You can play with a damaged shuttle if you wish. 9. The match is one game, first to 21, 2 points clear in the event of setting. 10. If at any stage either team cannot agree on a score the game must go back to an agreed point. 11. If a player disputes a call the point must be replayed. 12. If a team is caught cheating by an official 5pts will be deducted. 13. A power play can be called by both teams, only one at a time. A power play allows the team that has called the power play to earn 3pts if they win the rally. The team that has not called the power play can only win 1pt.

5 14. Any team can call a time out, one per game, last 40 seconds. Can be called anytime prior to shuttle being struck. 15. Coaching is allowed during the game and during timeouts by anyone. 16. Offensive behaviour aimed at the opposing team will result in an immediate 5pt deduction. There is no warning. 17. After the game players must shake hands, if any players while still on court shows any such inappropriate behaviour the game can at the discretion of the officials, be placed to the other team as a 21-0 walkover. 18. The Officials are Badminton For You staff or designated volunteers. Badminton For You reserve the right to amend the rules for membership and entry into competitions.
