The Buckeyes (8-3-3, B1G) and Nittany Lions (8-7-1, B1G) will meet at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday in Value City Arena. Both games will be streamed online through BTN Plus on BTN2Go. Herb Howenstine and John Mowat will have the radio call on 1460 AM in Columbus and online through Buckeye Vision on OhioStateBuckeyes.com. PROMOTIONAL CALENDAR Friday features Hockey Hour. From 6-7 p.m., the concourse will include fun activities for all ages. There will be games to play and interactive activities throughout the concourse. In addition, all drinks will be discounted. For Saturday's game only, Family and Friends ticket packs, which include a game ticket, hot dog, 16 ounce soda and popcorn for each person, are available. Package tickets (from 3-9) must be purchased online by noon Friday, using code FAMILY on Ticketmaster. A postgame meet and greet is scheduled for Saturday with select Buckeyes. BUCKEYE NOTES TO KNOW The Buckeyes enter the series vs. Penn State on a four-game unbeaten streak, after a ledger at UConn Nov and a sweep at Michigan last weekend. The squad is overall this season and in Big Ten play. Ohio State was vs. Penn State last season and is all-time against the Nittany Lions. Ohio State is second nationally in scoring defense, holding opponents to 1.93 goals per game. The team has limited opponents to two or fewer goals in nine of 14 games on the year. The penalty kill ranks first nationally, stopping 92.2 percent of its opponents' chances (47-for-51). The Buckeyes were 5-for-5 at Michigan last weekend. Ohio State is playing its first home games in a month, with the last series in Columbus Nov The series vs. Penn State opens a six-game homestand, with a matchup against Minnesota next weekend to close the first half of the schedule. The Buckeyes return to action Dec vs. Niagara in Columbus. Redshirt junior goalie Sean Romeo has started 13 of 14 games and is sixth nationally in goals-against average (1.69) and eighth in save percentage (.931). He has a record on the year. The Buckeyes are averaging 2.71 goals a night, with eight games with three or more goals. The team scored a season-high tying eight goals in the series at Michigan, matching the total it had in a sweep of a home-and-home series against Robert Morris. Ohio State has converted 15.5 percent of its power play opportunities chances this season, but in the last five games combined the squad is 6-for-19 (.315). Mason Jobst has a team-high five power play goals to tie for third nationally. Sophomore Tanner Laczynski leads the Buckeyes with 12 assists and 17 points, with all 17 points coming in the last 10 games. He was named B1G Second Star of the Week Tuesday after a team-best four points at Michigan. Junior Mason Jobst (98 points in 88 games) and senior Matthew Weis (97 points in 113 games) enter the Penn State series looking for point 100 as a Buckeye. All-time, 57 Buckeyes have hit triple digits. Jobst is looking to join R.J. Umberger and Ryan Dzingel as the most recent Ohio State skaters to reach 100 points as a junior.

2 IN THE RANKINGS This week, Ohio State is ranked a season-high 11th in the USCHO Top 20. Ohio State started the year ranked 19th in the poll, but fell into the receiving votes category for three polls in a row. The squad moved back into the Top 20 at No. 16 Oct. 30. After that, the Buckeyes were No. 17 Nov. 6 and No. 16 Nov. 13 before moving to No. 15 last week. Ohio State was in the receiving votes category of the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Top 15 poll through each of the first nine polls. The Buckeyes entered the poll this week at No. 13. In the USCHO poll this week, four Big Ten teams are ranked - No. 4 Notre Dame, No. 7 Minnesota, No. 11 Ohio State and No. 14 Wisconsin. Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State are receiving votes. In this week's USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, Notre Dame is No. 3, Minnesota is No. 7, Wisconsin is No. 12 and Ohio State is 13th. JUST THE STATS Ohio State is averaging 2.71 goals a game and is allowing 1.93 goals per outing, ranking second nationally in scoring defense. The Buckeye power play is 9-for-58 (.155) on the year after going 3-for-7 at Michigan in its last series. The penalty kill has stopped 47-of-51 opponent opportunities (.922), ranking first in the NCAA. The squad averages 9.5 penalty minutes per game. Ohio State is averaging shots on goal a game and allowing 25.6 shots on goal a night, ranking seventh nationally in shots allowed per game. Sophomore Tanner Laczynski has a team-best 12 assists and 17 points. Junior Mason Jobst leads the squad with seven goals and ranks second with 13 points. Senior Matthew Weis is second with seven assists and ranks third with 12 points. Laczynski and Weis are tied for second with five goals each. LAST TIME OUT - BUCKEYES SWEEP WOLVERINES Ohio State claimed two games at Michigan last weekend, with 3-2 and 5-1 victories. Game One (Ohio State 3, Michigan 2): The Wolverines led 1-0 after the first period but Buckeye junior Freddy Gerard converted a Tanner Laczynski pass one minute into the second for a 1-1 game and the teams headed into the second intermission deadlocked at a goal apiece. The Buckeyes scored twice in a 1:08 span in the third, with John Wiitala converting on the power play at 7:24 and Gerard stealing the puck and tallying unassisted at 8:32, for a 3-1 lead. The Wolverines pulled their goalie for the extra attacker and made it a one-goal game with 16 seconds remaining, but could get no closer. Buckeye goalie Sean Romeo had 31 saves in the game, including 13 in the first period. Ohio State was 1-for-3 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill in the win. Game Two (Ohio State 5, Michigan 1): Buckeye senior Christian Lampasso scored the only goal of the first period. The Wolverines tied the game at 7:49 of the second, but Buckeye sophomore Tanner Laczynski answered less than a minute later to put the Buckeyes back ahead. Mason Jobst scored a late power play goal in the second for a 3-1 Buckeye lead after 40 minutes. Early in the third, the Buckeyes killed an extended 5-on-3 power play to maintain their two goal edge. Matthew Weis tallied at 10:28 for a 4-1 lead and Lampasso notched his second of the game with one second left with the Buckeyes on the power play for the 5-1 final. Romeo had 34 saves for the Buckeyes. Ohio State 2-for-4 on the power play in the game, with the penalty kill 3-for-3. BUCKEYES VS. NITTANY LIONS Ohio State leads the all-time series with Penn State, , including a mark in Columbus. In Big Ten regular season play, the Buckeyes are ahead, Last season, the Buckeyes were vs. the Nittany Lions. The teams split a series in Columbus Jan. 6-7, with a 3-0 Buckeye win and 4-2 PSU victory. In State College Jan , the teams tied the opener 3-3, with Ohio State winning the shootout, and the Buckeyes claimed game two, 6-3. The first matchup between the teams was Dec. 29, 2012 in the Three Rivers Classic at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, a 5-4 Nittany Lion win. Senior Matthew Weis leads the Buckeyes with six goals, six assists and 12 points (in 11 games) vs. Penn State. Senior Luke Stork has five goals and eight points in a team-high 13 games vs. Penn State. Junior Mason Jobst has tallied a line in eight games against the Nittany Lions. OHIO STATE VS. PENN STATE - THE LAST SERIES The Buckeyes picked up five of six B1G points at Penn State Jan Game 1 (Ohio State 3, Penn State 3 OT/OSU shootout win): Penn State outshot the Buckeyes 24-3 in the first period and carried a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, scoring on a delayed penalty. The Buckeyes Josh Healey tied the game at 12:21 of the second, but Penn State went ahead with 1:34 left in the stanza. In the third, Mason Jobst tied the game twice for the Buckeyes. His first goal came at 6:54, knotting the score at two. Penn State regained the lead for a third time at 12:41 but just 1:18 later Jobst converted on the power play for a 3-3 game. Neither team could score in overtime, with Buckeye goalie Christian Frey making five of his 56 saves in the extra stanza. Dakota Joshua and David Gust both picked up two assists in the win, while Drew Brevig blocked eight shots. The Buckeye penalty kill was 3-for-3, including a stop in overtime. The teams went to a shootout for the extra league point. The Nittany Lions shot first and notched the first goal in the fifth round, but Dakota Joshua answered for the Buckeyes. After another unsuccessful round for both teams, Frey made a save to open round seven and Buckeye Sam McCormick converted his chance for the shootout victory. Game 2 (Ohio State 6, Penn State 3): Penn State scored the first goal of the game early in the first, but the Buckeyes scored the next three for a 3-1 advantage. John Wiitala and Mason Jobst scored in the first, with Dakota Joshua tallying 18 seconds into the middle period. Penn State drew within one at 7:17 of the second. The Buckeyes killed off a fiveminute major midway through the period to maintain their lead, but Penn State scored in the final minute of the period for a 3-3 game. The Buckeyes scored twice in the first 1:41 of the third, with Matthew Weis and Luke Stork lighting the lamp. Christian Lampasso sealed the win with a goal at 17:10. Goalie Christian Frey had 41 saves in the win, while the Buckeyes blocked 34 shots. Jobst, Joshua and Stork each had two points on a goal and an assist, while David Gust had two helpers in the win. PENN STATE POINTS Penn State enters the weekend overall and in league play. The squad is in its last four games, with a road sweep at Arizona State before winning 7-2 and tying 2-2 against Michigan State last week. Penn State ranks third in the NCAA in goals per game (3.81) and is allowing 3.19 goals an outing. The power play is 12- for-59 (.203) and the penalty kill is 42-for-50 (.840). Penn State averages 10.1 penalty minutes a night. The squad is first in the country in shots on goal, averaging 41.7 per game and allows a night. Andrew Sturtz has a team-best eight goals and 19 points and shares the assist lead with Chase Berger with 11 each. Berger is second with 14 points. In all, seven Nittany Lions have 10 or more points. In goal, Peyton Jones has played in 14 games and has a 3.32 goals-against average and.883 save percentage, posting a record. 3 IN THE B1G This weekend features three Big Ten series - Penn State at Ohio State, Notre Dame at Michigan State and Wisconsin at Minnesota. Notre Dame is first in the league with 18 points and a ledger. Minnesota is second with 11 points and a mark, with Wisconsin ( ) and Penn State ( ) a point back. The Buckeyes ( ) and Wolverines ( ) each have nine points and Michigan State ( ) has five. With the addition of Notre Dame to the league this year, the conference has changed its postseason format, going to a three-round format on campus sites. The No. 1 seed will receive a first round bye, with Nos. 2-4 hosting 5-7 in best of three quarterfinal series. The highest remaining seeds will then host single game semifinals before a championship game hosted by the highest remaining seed. LACZYNSKI A B1G STAR Sophomore Tanner Laczynski was named Big Ten Second Star of the Week after a team-high four points at Michigan last week. Against the Wolverines, Laczynski had a goal and three assists and was +4. In the Buckeyes 3-2 win Friday, he set up Freddy Gerard s goal that tied the game at one just one minute into the second period. Saturday, Laczynski scored the eventual gamewinner 49 seconds after Michigan had tied the game. He assisted on back-to-back goals to move the Buckeyes lead to 4-1 in the eventual 5-1 victory. On the year, Laczynski leads the Buckeyes with 12 assists and 17 points, with all 17 coming in the last 10 games. He is on a five-game point streak (2g, 6a, 8p). Over the last six weeks, Laczynski is third in the NCAA with 1.70 points per game, ranking first in the B1G. LOOKING FOR 100 Two Buckeyes are nearing the 100-point mark for the Scarlet and Gray. Junior Mason Jobst has 98 points (38g, 60a) in 88 games and is looking to join Ryan Dzingel and RJ Umberger as Buckeyes to reach 100 points as a junior since Umberger, who finished his three-year career with 129 points (58g, 71a) in 112 games, posted his 100th point in his 87th game with the Scarlet and Gray. Dzingel, who had a line in 110 games over three years, hit triple digits in his 101st game as a Buckeye. Jobst, who has a line on the year, is third among current NCAA juniors and 10th among all current NCAA players in career points. His 1.11 career points per game average is the fourth-highest among players in at least his second year of collegiate action. Senior Matthew Weis has 97 points (33g, 64a) in 113 games with the Scarlet and Gray, ranking 11th among current NCAA players in points. This season, Weis has 12 points, with all 12 coming in the last 10 games, including a three-point nights in each of the last two series. Saturday at Michigan, he had a goal and two helpers. SPECIAL TEAMS SYNOPSIS The Buckeyes rank first in the NCAA on the penalty kill, stopping 47-of-51 (.922) opponent chances. The squad was BIG TEN STANDINGS 5-for-5 at Michigan last weekend, with two kills Friday and three (including an extended 5-on-3) Saturday. Ohio State's power play has nine goals on 58 chances (.155) this season. At Michigan, the Buckeyes were 3-for-7 (.429), going 1-for-3 in game one and 2-for-4 in game two. In their six games in November, the Buckeyes were 6-for-20 on the power play (.300), ranking fifth nationally in power play conversion during the month. The Buckeyes started the season scoreless on their first 21 chances. Since then (starting Oct. 20 at UMass), the squad is 9-for-38 (.237). Mason Jobst has five of the Buckeyes' power play goals, tying for third nationally. John Wiitala has two power play tallies and Dakota Joshua and Christian Lampasso have scored the others. Last season, the Buckeyes led the NCAA on the power play, converting 31.6 percent of their chances (49-for-155). On the penalty kill in , Ohio State was 120-for-161 (.745). HOME AND AWAY The Buckeyes are on the road this season, ranking first nationally in road wins and third in road winning percentage (.833), behind only 2-0 Cornell and 4-0 Notre Dame. The squad averages 3.11 goals for and 1.67 goals allowed per game in road contests. At home, the Buckeyes are 1-2-2, scoring 2.0 and giving up 2.4 goals a game. The team last played at home Nov. 3-4, losing two games to Notre Dame (4-1, 3-2). Last season, Ohio State led the NCAA in road wins (13) and road winning percentage (.806) with a road ledger. The road games at Michigan were the last for the Buckeyes until the new year, when the squad travels to Michigan State Jan. 5-6 and Penn State Jan Ohio State is in the midst of a season-high six game home stand. A series vs. Minnesota wraps up the first half of the season next weekend and the Buckeyes will return to action with two games vs. Niagara in Columbus Dec ON THE DEFENSE Ohio State ranks second nationally in team defense, holding opponents to 1.93 goals per game. The squad has limited teams to two or fewer goals in nine of 14 games on the year. Junior Sasha Larocque leads the Buckeyes with 35 blocked shots this season, ranking ninth (tied) in the NCAA in total blocks and tying for fifth with 2.5 per game. He has two or more blocks in 11 games this year. He has four assists on the year, including one last weekend. Sophomore Matt Miller leads the Buckeye defensemen with five points, on two goals and three assists, and a +6 rating. Senior Janik Moser notched his first career goal in game two at UMass, scoring in his 89th career game, and added his second three games later with a tally vs. Notre Dame Nov. 3. He also had the primary assist on the gamewinner at Robert Morris Oct. 28 and on Tanner Laczynski's goal in the 1-1 OT tie at UConn in the last game. (#) is the team s ranking in the USCHO.com poll Nov. 20. TWO FOR TWO Junior Freddy Gerard and senior Christian Lampasso each notched his first career two-goal game at Michigan last week. Friday, Gerard scored the Buckeyes' first goal in the second period to tie the game at one and then tallied the gamewinner unassisted in the third. It was his fourth career multiple point game and third of the season. He has a line this year. Saturday, Lampasso scored the game's first goal in the first period and sealed the win with a power play tally with.8 left in regulation. This season, Lampasso has a career-high four goals, matching his total through his first three seasons (and 79 games). IN NET FOR THE BUCKEYES Redshirt junior Sean Romeo started 13 of the Buckeyes' first 14 games, including the first 10. He is sixth in the NCAA with a 1.69 goals-against average and eighth with a.931 save percentage. At Michigan last week, Romeo had 31 saves in game one and a Buckeye career-high 34 in game two. Romeo stopped all 23 shots he faced at Massachusetts Oct. 21 for the first shutout of his collegiate career. He has limited opponents to one or fewer goals in seven games this year. Romeo sat out last season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules after spending two years at Maine. Freshman Tommy Nappier came on in relief vs. Notre Dame Nov. 4, making two saves in his first collegiate action. He made his first start in game one at UConn Nov. 10 and had a team season-high 35 saves in a 5-4 win to record his first collegiate victory, the first Buckeye freshman to play (and post a win) since Evan Moyse, the Buckeyes' other goalie, is also a freshman. The squad's three goalies from last season all graduated, with two of the three (Christian Frey, Matt Tomkins) continuing to professional careers and Logan Davis the volunteer assistant coach/hockey operations with Bemidji State. BY PERIOD Ohio State has scored just six goals in the first period this season, while tallying 12 times in the second stanza and 20 times in the third. The Buckeyes have allowed six goals in the first, 10 in the second and 11 in the third. The Buckeyes have given up the first goal in eight of 14 games this year. Ohio State and its opponents have been scoreless in the opening 20 minutes in six games this year. Two games (Oct. 28 at Robert Morris, Nov. 11 at UConn) did not see a goal until the third period. The Buckeyes are when scoring first and when allowing the first goal. When ahead after the first (3-0-0) and second (5-0-0) the Buckeyes are undefeated. The Buckeyes are 10th in the NCAA in faceoff winning percentage (.533), going on the year. Joshua is third among Big Ten skaters and 17th in the NCAA in faceoff winning percentage (.601). Mason Jobst is third among B1G skaters with 155 faceoff wins. Junior Mason Jobst has a point in six of the last eight games and in nine of 14 games on the year, with a team-best seven goals, along with six assists, for 13 points. Senior Matthew Weis has three three-point games this season, including a two-goal outing (with an assist) at UConn Nov. 10. He has a point in six of the last 10 games and a total this year, ranking third in points. Sophomore Ronnie Hein picked up his first point of the season Friday at Michigan. He missed the first 10 games with an injury.

4 TALKING SHOTS On the year, the Buckeyes are allowing shots on goal a game, ranking seventh in the NCAA. However, the team has allowed 30 or more in each of the last four games. The Buckeyes are averaging shots on goal an outing, ranking 12th in the NCAA. The squad, which had a seasonhigh 57 vs. RPI Oct. 13, had 35 and 36, respectively, at Michigan last week. Tanner Laczynski leads the Buckeyes with 3.86 shots on goal per game, ranking 15th nationally. Mason Jobst is second on the squad (3.71). LOOKING AHEAD The Buckeyes close the first half of the schedule with a series against Minnesota next weekend. The Buckeyes will host the Golden Gophers Dec. 8-9, with puck drop at 6:30 p.m. for game one and 8 p.m. for game two. Game two is Hockey Moms' Night Out, which includes an hour of yoga, an Ohio State yoga mat, a drink ticket and a game ticket (along with a carnival for children during the pregame yoga session). Ohio State returns to action with a two-game set vs. Niagara Dec. 29 and 30, the last nonconference games of the regular season. A two-for-one ticket deal is available for both games through Dec. 2 (online only by using code TMN241 on Ticketmaster). A pregame Hockey Hour is scheduled for the Dec. 29 game, with pregame activities on the concourse and drinks discounted. The Dec. 30 matchup is a Brutus Buddies game. #PROBUCKS UPDATE Four Buckeyes were on NHL opening night rosters and three with their clubs (through Nov. 30). Matt Bartkowski is with the Calgary Flames and Ryan Dzingel is with the Ottawa Senators. Anaheim Duck Ryan Kesler is out with injury. Zac Dalpe started the year with the Columbus Blue Jackets but was recently sent to AHL Cleveland. Max McCormick was recalled by Ottawa in October and played three games, but was returned to AHL Belleville. Mike Bales, who was the goaltending coach with the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins the last two years, is now with the Carolina Hurricanes in the same role. All seven of the Buckeye seniors from last year earned their Ohio State degrees. Five of the seven signed pro contracts to continue their playing careers, with a sixth, Logan Davis, staying in hockey and joining the staff at Bemidji State. In the AHL, David Gust (Bakersfield) and Nick Schilkey (Charlotte) have both scored their first career pro goals. Josh Healey, who signed with Calgary at the conclusion of the 2017 season, made his pro debut with the Stockton Heat at the end of that season. He started this year with the Heat and has skated in 13 games. In the ECHL, 2017 senior goalie Christian Frey has played in five games with the Rapid City Rush. Matt Tomkins made his pro debut, and picked up his first pro win, with the Indy Fuel but is currently out with an injury. Other Buckeyes in the AHL include Tanner Fritz (Bridgeport), Anthony Greco (Springfield), Corey Elkins (Grand Rapids), John Albert (Hershey) and Rod Pelley (Stockton). BREAK IT DOWN The Buckeye roster this season includes 27 players, who hail from four countries, with 23 from the United States (totaling 11 states), two from Canada and one each from Germany and Ukraine. A team-high six Buckeyes are Ohio natives, with five from Michigan and three from Minnesota. Two call Alberta home and two are natives of Illinois. Buckeyes also come from Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The squad has six members in the freshman, sophomore and senior classes, with nine juniors. IN THE CLASSROOM Four Buckeyes - sharing the Big Ten lead - were recognized by the American Hockey Coaches Association as All-American Scholars. To qualify for the honor, players needed a 3.6+ grade-point average and to have played in at least 40 percent of their team's games during the season. The Ohio State players recognized were current junior Freddy Gerard and current sophomore Gordi Myer, along with 2017 seniors and graduates Nick Schilkey and Matt Tomkins. Last year, 23 of the 27 Buckeyes were recognized as Ohio State Scholar-Athletes. Under Steve Rohlik, the Buckeyes have averaged a 3.0+ cumulative gpa, including a 3.2+ for THE BUCKEYE STAFF Steve Rohlik is in his fifth year as the head coach of the Buckeyes. He led the squad to the NCAA Tournament last year, marking the first appearance for the team since Steve Miller joined the staff as the associate head coach during the offseason. He has been a part of three NCAA championship teams (Denver in 2004 and '05, Providence in 2015) and World Junior Championship winning squads, including at last year's tournament with Buckeye sophomore Tanner Laczynski. Miller served as director of operations at Air Force the last two years. JB Bittner, a two-time captain for the Buckeyes, is the team's new assistant coach. A Buckeye from , he is in his second stint on the Ohio State staff. He has coached at the junior, collegiate and professional levels, as well as coaching internationally with Team USA. Bittner was the associate head coach for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the United States Hockey League (USHL) in Also joining the Buckeye staff for this year are alums Dustin Carlson and Dave Caruso as the team's volunteer assistant coach and goaltending consultant, respectively. Lee Harris is now with the squad as a conditioning coach. LEADING THE WAY Junior Mason Jobst was voted captain for the Buckeyes, while junior Sasha Larocque and senior Luke Stork were tabbed alternate captains for the squad. Jobst, from Speedway, Indiana, was a Second Team All- American, First Team All-Big Ten selection and the Big Ten co-scoring Champion last season after posting a B1G-best 55 points, with 19 goals and 36 assists. He is a two-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten choice. Larocque, a native of Calgary, Alberta, played in 34 games a season ago and had eight assists and nine points. He was in the Top 10 in the Big Ten in blocks (68), blocks per game (2.0) and plus/minus (+18). He has earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete honors twice and was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team. Pittsburgh native Stork skated in 102 games in his first three years with the Scarlet and Gray to lead the current Buckeyes in career games played. He saw action in all 39 games a season ago and had 14 points, with six goals and 14 assists. FUTURE BUCKEYES Ohio State announced the signing of seven future Buckeyes to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. The group of six forwards and a defensemen includes five USHL players and one from both the AJHL and BCHL. The players hail from six states and a Canadian province. During his career, Rohlik has recruited and/or coached two Hobey Baker Award winners, 15 All-Americans, including Buckeye goaltender Brady Hjelle in and forwards Ryan Dzingel in and Mason Jobst in , and nearly 20 players who have reached the NHL. The squad was overall in ( in B1G play). In his second year, the Buckeyes ( , B1G) ended the season strong, going in the last 12 games, and reached the conference tournament semifinals. The Buckeyes ( ) were in Big Ten play, advanced to the B1G tourney semifinals and closed out the year undefeated in eight of their last nine games, ranking in the Top 10 in the NCAA in scoring offense on the year. Rohlik joined the Ohio State program in 2010 after 10 seasons on the coaching staff at Minnesota Duluth ( ) where the squad advanced to two NCAA tournaments, including a Frozen Four appearance in 2004, and won the 2009 WCHA playoff title. He was part of the staff that put together the roster of the Bulldogs 2010 NCAA Championship squad. Rohlik coached three seasons at Nebraska-Omaha, joining the program for its inaugural campaign in In the team s first year as a member of the CCHA (its third year as a Division I team), the squad advanced to the 2000 CCHA Championship game. Rohlik spent five years as the head coach at Hill-Murray High School, his alma mater, in St. Paul, Minn., posting a ledger and leading the squad to two Minnesota State High School Tournaments, including a runner-up finish in the 1993 Tier I event and fourth place in 1997 Class AA before joining the UNO Mavericks. He also served one-season assistant coaching stints at Wisconsin ( ) and Stillwater High School ( ). A native of St. Paul, Minn., Rohlik is a 1990 graduate of Wisconsin. A four-year letterwinner for the Badgers, he wore the captain s C in both 1989 and He was a senior on the squad that won the NCAA title, as well as the WCHA regular-season and tournament crowns, and was named the WCHA Tournament MVP that season. The team qualified for the NCAA Tournament each of his last three seasons and also captured the 1988 conference playoff championship. Rohlik skated in 166 games for Wisconsin, scoring 34 goals and adding 47 assists for 81 points, and received the team s Fenton Kelsey, Jr. Most Competitive Player honor in He was an eighth-round selection by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft (No. 151 overall). Rohlik graduated from Wisconsin in 1990 with a bachelor s degree in communications/ journalism. He and his wife, Julie, have two daughters, Erin and Annie, and a son, Grady.
