Under the leadership of our coaching staff, each contest of the 2013 season promises to generate a high level of excitement and sportsmanship inherent to Lancer sports. The entire Bishop Amat High School community is grateful for your continued support of Lancer sports and the principles of Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge that we aim to develop in all the young men and women who proudly call themselves Bishop Amat Lancers. 9 Ethel del Rosario comes back to her Alma Mater to head the Boys Volleyball Program. She graduated from Bishop Amat in 2001 and earned three varsity letters. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona University with a Bachelor s Degree in Liberal Studies. Ethel coached the Frosh/Soph and JV teams at Amat for three years before taking the head coaching position at Charter Oak High School, where she coached for 5 years. She is the VP of Volleyball Operations for B3ST Sports Training and directs B3ST Volleyball Club. In her free time, Ethel enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and photography. Ethel appreciates the opportunity she has to coach at her alma mater and is looking forward to a successful season. Ethel del Rosario Head Varsity Coach Dion Bailey, assistant varsity coach, comes to the Bishop Amat Volleyball program with energy and enthusiasm. Dion graduated from West Covina High School and earned three varsity letters in basketball. He then pursued his Bachelor s Degree in psychology at Utah State, where he also played basketball. His love for sports will help the program be successful. He enjoys working out, watching sports, and making a difference in student athletes lives. Dion BaileyAssistant Varsity Coach Joseph Veazey, coach of the Junior Varsity Team, is currently in his first year as a part of the Bishop Amat Lancer Volleyball program. Joe graduated from Bishop Amat High School in 2007 and earned three varsity letters. He earned Best Offensive Player and Second Team All-League awards two consecutive years. He also played two years of club volleyball. After high school, he played one season at Santa Barbara College. He recently graduated from California Healing Arts College as a massage therapist. When he is not coaching, Joseph enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with his family, going to concerts, and being outdoors. Joseph Veazey Junior Varsity Coach

12 TENNIS A.J. Seresinghe is in his fifth season as the boys tennis coach. Tennis is a no cut program and boys trying out are positioned on a team according to skill level and ability. Coach A.J. is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) and is the director of Tennis for the City of Covina and West Covina Department of Recreation. In his youth, A.J. was the Junior National Champion for the island country of Sri Lanka, and competed as a top player on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) circuit. A.J. was educated at University College London where he played tennis for two years. A.J. is married to his lovely wife Amalia, and together they have three children Chanuki (35), Sarah (19) who is enrolled at UC Santa Barbara as a pre-med student, and Ajith Jr. (13). A.J.
