1 1758 Astra Road Variance Application CVRD Advisory Planning Commission 9 April 2018
2 Timelines Planning Application Submitted February March: Site Visit with Brianne Labute from CVRD 7 March: Request for quick Site Drawings depicting outbuildings and landscaping 8 March: Drawings Submitted 15 March: reply from Brianne 22 March: Citizen s Advisory Board Unanimous Approval
3 Reply Hello Corey, I have reviewed your site drawings. Is it possible to re-locate the parking area to the front of the accessory building to achieve a greater front yard setback? At this time, my manager is NOT supportive of siting a building this close to the road. Regardless of whether the planning department decides to recommend approval or refusal of the application you are still entitled to apply. The electoral area directors are the decision makers on development variance permit applications.

31 Public Response Very thankful that I live in our community Impassioned Disappointed by the process CVRD gave neighbors no time to educate themselves NOT one neighbors spoke to me as to why I asked for the variance Forced to make emotional decisions based on the current status of the neighborhood Timelines completely undermine the point of public consultation I hope the CVRD takes notice of the concerns of my neighbors as I share the exact same sentiments
