3 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE It was great seeing everyone at our 80's themed Awards banquet this month. For 2016, we plan to hold Ski Club meetings Tom Nathan each month that President everyone is encouraged to attend. We will have the next Ski Club meeting on Friday, April 22nd, at 7:00pm hosted by the Brooks' family (30391 Sparkle Drive). Meetings are an opportunity to hear what's happening with our club, offer comments and suggestions, or simply socialize with your fellow skiers for a while. Our plan is to have monthly Ski Club meetings on the 3rd Friday each month going forward. Start Spring Skiing Spring is upon us and it's time to get ready for the 2016 season! There are a couple projects to complete before the May tournament that are already underway. The far tower needs new floatation and we plan to tackle that project in April. The jump measurement systems are getting a much needed upgrade, and the slalom course will soon see new buoys and boat guides. None of these things happen on their own - it's the volunteer support by club members that get things like this done. I'm looking for someone who can SCUBA dive and take advantage of the current clear water conditions to loosen the slalom course...any volunteers? 80s THEME FOR 2016 BANQUET David O Hara Most Tournaments Attended Su Bargar, a California native has lived with her family in Canyon Lake for 11 years. She and her husband Kirk were recreational skiers and entered the competitive ski world four years ago when their daughter began skiing. The whole family loves the "life on the water" lifestyle. They have two children, Julia (almost six) and Jacob (almost 3). They first started skiing with Golden West but started skiing tournaments four years ago here with Canyon Lake Ski Club. 3
