Our Visitors T is with great pleasure that I we welcome Cork Celtic to Tolka Park for the 12th series or matches in the, League of Ireland competition. Cork Celtic produced some fine displays to capture the Shield 'for the first time in their history. They took two points from Drums at Tolka Park, winning 3-2, buti the tables were turned a few days later when Drums won the City Cup In the first League meeting at Turner's Cross Celtic triumphed by 4 goals to 3. If Drums' defence can blot out the twin attack of Leahy and Noonan they will have gone a long way to-wards victory. Outside_right Tommy Kinsella, who has been ill for the past few months, has recovered and ex- pects to resume training next The games between these two sid es have always given plenty Of excitement to the spectators, and we are sure tlhey will not bz Club Notes T HE eig ht goals against Sligo Rovers last Sunday brought our goal tally to 39 goals scored in 12 League matches. Only 14 goals have been conceded. Centr e-forward Dan Mcca.ffrey has score 20, E. Grumley 5, J. Morrissey and B. Fullam 3 each, E. Halpin 2, T. Rowe, S. Smith, B. Masterson, V. Lawless, S. Pownall and R. Keogh 1 each. Next Sunday we visit Dalymount Park to play Bohemians. Since George Lax became coach some weeks ago Bohemians have given much improved displays, and they have not been beaten in their last three matches. Played on a heavy pitch, the exchanges were a little robust a t times, but a draw could be deemed a,fair result. Bobs scored aftler 10 minutes' play when E. Byrne handled and Lyons scored from the penalty. Five minutes after half-time B. Murray wa fouled, but A. Nesbitt's spot-kick was pushed over the cross_bar. S. Carroll equalised 2 minutes later when put tlhrough by Murray.
