On Saturday, October 18th, FHS boys tennis coach, Frank Davis, was presented a collection of tennis racquets from Kingsmill Resort tennis pro and director of the fall tennis tournament, Muri Ajibade. Abijade stated, Kingsmill and the residents of Kingsmill were proud to present these racquets to the student athletes of Franklin High School. We are committed in promoting the sport that we love and hope that these racquets will benefit in the growth of tennis in the Franklin community. The racquets are to be used by the boys tennis team. Special points of interest: Presentation Drama In Action Day of the Dead Playoffs FHS Veterans Day Program On Monday, November 10th, Franklin High School students attended a Veterans Day Program to honor all who served. The ceremony was organized by 1SG Derrick Robinson and Lt. Colonel Linwood Wright, JROTC instructors. Cadet Andrianna Leonard sang a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem and Cadet Connor Shanks gave introductory remarks. After the Veterans Day proclamation and video, Franklin High School veterans and family members were saluted. Following an introduction by Cadet Connor Shanks, guest speaker Colonel Frederick Cross inspired the audience with a patriotic Veterans Day address. In closing, Assistant Principal Allen Keels presented Colonel Frederick Cross with a certificate of appreciation and Cadet Kiana Reid informed guests about the story of Taps.
