Chaperone: Grunt Report: Will need grunts for jazz fests Directors Report: Winter concert was a success Montco Band: Volunteers are needed to help with snacks and pizza for the 150 students coming for rehearsals Check the sign-up genius 3000 Terwood Road Willow Grove PA Page 1

2 This is the 38 th year of the Montco Band festival This year is our year to host Concert 2/8 Rehearsals 1/17 help still needed Jazz festival 3/1/19: Will need grunts and volunteers to help Middle School Jazz fest: May need help also for Brian Stahl Sign up genius will go out for the hospitality room for food donations Fundraising: Gift cards went well December - Five Below $112 March 24 Pizza night April - Five Below Spring Pie Sale Jeannie Indoor Percussion will be doing team-based fundraisers for their Wildwood Championships (Chance calendars and chocolate sale) SHIRT ORDER FOR DISNEY must order by 1/22 there will be no extras ordered 3000 Terwood Road Willow Grove PA Page 2

3 Florida Trip Overview: Mr. Cowen Itinerary Week of Trip there are 2 mandatory rehearsals Monday 2/11 6-9pm (plus uniform bags packed) Tuesday 2/12 6-9pm (plus luggage drop off and instrument load up prep) Luggage will be inspected by school administrators for contraband items (NO VAPING) **Anyone found on the trip with any contraband item will be sent home at parent expense!! All carry-on luggage is also subject to inspection for contraband items. Wed 2/13 1pm the truck will arrive for loading (large instruments, uniforms, etc.) 2pm luggage will be loaded and inspected and we hit the road Dinner time rest stop may pack or purchase food All rooms have mini fridges and microwaves Half way down the drivers switch (one straight shot) Arrive in Orlando 2/14 Breakfast and tour escort DAY 1 at Universal Studios Students receive one meal voucher per day (one fast food meal) The other meal must be provided by you Fairfield Inn Marriot Village Check into hotel dedicated security guards each night DAY 2 at Universal Studios One meal coupon available 3000 Terwood Road Willow Grove PA Page 3

4 Some time at city walk in the evening (shops, restaurants, etc) Back to the hotel DAY 3 at Disney PARADE PERFORMANCE Breakfast at hotel Underground tunnels and into backstage area s with Disney cast members preparing for the parade 945am down Main Street in front of castle and ends in Frontier land Back into casual clothes Disney Day Head to Downtown Disney in the evening Back to the hotel DAY 4 Breakfast at hotel Animal Kingdom Day One meal voucher On the road to home ETA Mon 2/18 6pm Included: Meal and spending money One voucher per day lighter fare fast food meal (entrée, side, drink) Breakfast at hotel Additional Expense: Third meal of the day is student s responsibility -NOT CHEAP - $10-15 range for fast food - $20-25 for sit down dinner meal Suggestion maybe a pre-paid debit card 3000 Terwood Road Willow Grove PA Page 4

5 Snacks can be packed Refrigerator and microwave at the hotel! *You can bring snacks into Disney in pockets or a back pack* Souvenirs are a personal decision Bus Lists Fan Club Parents will all be on Bus #1 Remind text service for communication during trip as well as check-ins Chaperones 6 staff members Buddy System students must stay with another student at all times Parade Route Meant to be entertaining! Not our show music Fast Passes can start reserving rides within the next week or so can link with friends Rules and Regulations Make good choices! Anyone found using drugs or alcohol, theft, gross misconduct, will be sent home at parents expense! Luggage will be inspected Students must remain with Upper Moreland Group Itinerary at all times cannot leave with family If you need medications this must be disclosed on the required paperwork If meds can be self carries and self administered they can be self carried and self administered on the trip If meds must be staff carried/administered then it will be staff administered on trip If anything in room is broken then they will be responsible for it Students may not leave hotel grounds or they will be sent home at parents expense Students may not leave room after curfew 3000 Terwood Road Willow Grove PA Page 5

6 Check ins must be on time Be prompt for bus departures Bus conduct should be appropriate! Try to refrain from wearing heavy cologne on bus Bathrooms are for emergency use only on the bus no #2 No speakers on the bus (use headphones) There is wifi on the bus for and light usage After 11pm is quiet time on the bus No glass containers on the bus Once carry on bag Hotel guidelines Report anything broken or you will get charged for it Do not share room information No one from any other groups are allowed in your room Don t lose you key!
