Only students who ride regular buses should sign up (not students who ride Gifted buses). Students MUST pay attention to their bus number and street names!! 11 Baseball News The FMS Falcon Baseball team will host St. Aloyisious today (9/1) and Virginia Junior High on Monday (9/4) at Schlitt Park. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 both days. Good luck to the team!

12 Back to School Dance and Party Come and celebrate the beginning of the new school year at the PTC sponsored Back to School Dance is TODAY from 2:30 to 4:00PM! Tickets are $3.00. If you didn t purchase a ticket before school, you can still get one at lunchtime or at the door. Activity buses will be available immediately following the dance.

13 From Nurse Smith: Please turn in your physical and shot records!! All 6th graders and any student new to District #186 need to have this turned into the guidance office as soon as possible.! If they are not turned in BEFORE Tuesday, September 5th, you will be sent home.

Bottled Water Drive FMS is now collecting cases of bottled water to help first responders or other emergency officials in the Houston area in cooperation with Chris Noonan from Merrill Lynch.

14 Bottled Water Drive FMS is now collecting cases of bottled water to help first responders or other emergency officials in the Houston area in cooperation with Chris Noonan from Merrill Lynch. We will collect cases of water from Friday, September 1st until Wednesday, September 6th. Please donate cases of water to help the people affected by Hurricane Harvey! Cash donations will also be accepted.

15 Bottled Water Drive AP classes will be competing to see which class can bring in the most cases of water. The winning AP class will receive a donut party!!! Adults will also be competing for a donut party! A total of 125 cases of water donated by faculty members will earn a donut party for for the adults!!! Every $2 donation will purchase 1 case of water!!!

16 Mathcounts and Scholastic Bowl News 6th graders interested in scholastic bowl will meet next week (Tuesday) from 2:30-4:00 in room 231.

17 MATHCOUNTS Problem of the Day Mr. Knoepfle gives a shout out to all the students who take the time to work out the problems and turn in their responses throughout the day. Keep it up FMS! Now here is today s problem How many distinct prime divisors does 1110 have?! Stop by and see Mr. Knoepfle in room 231 if your figure out the correct answer! Prizes awarded to the first 3 students in each class that figures out the correct answer!

18 Beta Club News Any student in the 7th grade who made honor roll last year as a 6th grader - - if you are interested in being a Beta Club Member this school year - there will be an information sheet in Mrs. Zinnen s room 235 and Mr. Zinnen s room 234. Stop by before 8:00 a.m. - and pick one up.! We will have these sheets available on Tuesday - Sept. 5th. - The due date for them will be Sept. 19th - Tuesday!!!!
