1 Minutes of the RV Club January 9, 2015 John Cormier opened up the meeting by introducing the new board. We will now assign host badges each month to seasoned members who will escort new members who join the club and help them understand our processes for rallies etc. We welcomed 10 new members (RIGS) to our membership. Each new member talked from where they came, type of rig, and years of Rving Upcoming rallies were announced and described. Upcoming rallies to Tampa Lazydays for the Florida RV show March- Saint Augustine- Nine and Dine Golf, Golf History Museum and City tour April- Lion Counrty Safari April- Savannah May- West Virginia and Greenbrier Tour Jo Spinks is our new sunshine person. Initiatives for 2015: Clothing- use the logo from Custom Design Store on SR 466 next to Publix. You can use your own clothing. Club prefers white or navy. There has been too much inconsistency in color matching of the club yellow. Web-Site- We are hiring a new web master who will be responsible for the 2015 site. Publicity- John has reached out to The Village Entertainment and the Daily Sun in hope to get RV club publicity in the Square and in print. We are awaiting responses from these group. Rallies are the most important item of the CLUB and John has appointed Iris H. to form a rally committee who can take existing information on former successful rallies and then turn them over to new Wagon masters to implement. We will publish a list of prior rallies The minimum deposit to hold a rally space is $25. It is non-refundable unless you can find a sub to take your place No one can sign up for a rally prior to the announcement and you must be at the meeting to sign up. A new $100 stipend will be offered to the chief Wagon master to use as they see fit in helping to support a rally We are going to work on sponsoring annual rallies which seem to be the most popular year to year. We will sponsor Near to Home rallies for New Members- with a couple of more seasoned RV Club members attending.
2 There will be a recap of the past months rallies at each monthly meeting. When a rally is prepared. Please make an extra packet for Iris to catalog for future. SPEAKER On the Spot Detailing located In the Alliance Coach area in Wildwood. They will give TVRVC a discounted rate $11.00 per foot rate and will donate $5.00 to our club for each member who uses their services. They also clean roofs so that you do not get the white film on the windows and have an ozone machine to get all odors out of their unit. 3 RV Club Minutes February 13, 2015 John Cormier opened the meeting, introduced the board. Treasurer report was read. Balance of $ New Members introduced themselves and were welcomed into the Club. Announced a list of prior rallies and asked members to run a rally Iris had pre-planned Cyprus rally FL was offered to our membership to host and Roger and Sandy Blevins agreed to be the Wagon Master. The rally will be May Current Wagon Masters announced their rallys. Jo Spinks announced the Sunshine updates A list of members has now been created and will be used to announce monthly meetings and other activities, New Website is up and running. It was determined that enough members will be here in the summer months and the RV Club meetings would continue in July and August, more details will be forthcoming Gil Johnson of SkyMed gave a presentation on their unique services. There were 3 50/50 winners. A question and answer session followed and the meeting was adjourned at 11:00AM. Submitted by Kelly Wyman, Secretary
4 Villages RV Club General Meeting Minutes March 13, 2015 Meeting was called to order at 10Am. John Cormier announced the board members and the February 2015 minutes were read and the treasurer report given. New members were invited up front to tell us about themselves and their RV experiences. We welcome all new members. We ask those in attendance who might be staying in The Villages this summer and who might be able to step up and run the meetings for July and August. We are looking for volunteers or a committee to run these meetings. John Cormier encouraged our membership to Run a Rally or agree to host a Rally that the rally committee might put together. He encouraged those staying this summer, to think about rallys that could be run regionally. We were also encouraged to think about this fall and to plan events so we do not have a lack of run places to go in the fall. After rallys have been completed we will ask the Wagon Master to come forward and share the experiences of that rally. The following rallys are upcoming: Lion Country- Sold Out Savannah- Sold Out Run of the Roses Carridge House Weirsdale Lake Land < FL Branson MO Pipestream, WV The Christmas Party was announced for December 4, 2015 at Lake Minoa Rec center. The Music Mix will play and the event will be catered by Hacienda Catering. The Theme is Glitz..Glitter and Gold and Lindy Dee and Kelly Wyman will chair this event. Tickets will go on sale at our May meeting.
5 The Senior Vice President, from FMCA made a presentation on their offerings to Motor Coach owners. She answered individual questions after the meeting for those interested in joining. A 50/50 was held The meeting was closed at 11Am Kelly Wyman Secretary
6 Minutes of The Villages RV Club April 10, 2015 John Cormier opened up the meeting by introducing the Board. The March Secretary report was not read but it is on the TVRVC.org Pat Reid read the treasurers report balance of $3527. We welcomed a number ofl new members. Each new member talked from where they came, type of rig, and years of RV ing, and their Village of residence. Highlights of the Clewiston, St. Augustine, and Rock Crusher Jazz Festival were discussed New rallies were announced to: Lakeland, Williston, Gulf Shores and Ft Lauderdale were announced. Name badges, license plates, koosies, and remaining clothing are being sold by the ladies on the right side of room. Dee Lunge, our new historian, introduced herself and encouraged members to get her pictures of 2015 rallies so that she can continue to scrapbook. Iris announced the possibility of 2 summer rallies to Fisherman s Cove in Tavares in July and Dunedin at Carefree RV in August. Volunteers were selected to host and information will be posted on the Website. Jo Sparks announced the Sunshine Club and there was no bad news. An new meeting format will begin at our May meeting. We will have the social from 9:30a to 10 with coffee and donuts. The General meeting will be held at 10AM and each rally will be discussed at the meeting. Sign-ups will begin after the general meeting. If you are not getting monthly s about the RV club, please get with John Cormier so we can verify if we have your correct . We are planning a fall picnic in October after our General Meeting of October 9. We had 2 couples volunteer to host. The picnic will be partially underwritten by American Pro RV Service. We are looking into a possibility of a Fall Golf Scramble and Irwin Philpott will look into possible dates. There will be no meetings in July and August. Programs: Pete and Barry from the new Villages RV Garage Storage across from Alliance Coach announced the opening for June 1, 2015 Ron Coe, president of Yankee RV Tours highlighted the 2015/2016 season and the available tour he offers with a video presentation

8 THE VILLAGES RV CLUB GENERAL MEETING May 8, 2015 President John Cormier opened the meeting at 10 a.m. with Pledge of Allegiance. He introduced the Board Members. Minutes were not read due to absence of Secretary Kelly Wyman. Pat Reed gave Treasurers Report: Opening balance $ Income $ Expenses $ Ending balance $ Wagon Masters gave reports of recent rallies. Barbara announced a sale on RV shirts and sweatshirts in stock. Iris introduced Wagon Masters for scheduled rallies. All rallies are described in detail on our web page. 9 John passed around results of survey taken last month of most requested Rally destinations. He asked for members to volunteer as Wagon Masters. He also recommended co-wagon masters for each rally to work together, preferably with an experienced couple to help train a new couple. Jo Spinks gave Sunshine Report. Cards were sent to Paul Everett, Joe Weber and Billie Edwards. Reminders of our monthly meetings are being sent by . If you are not receiving them, please contact John Cormier to make sure we have your correct . We followed our new meeting format today. John asked that you please give us time to try it out. John asked for suggestions for meeting programs. Our speaker today was Jack Hanson, Residential Safety Watch. He talked about fire safety and monitoring devices including smoke detectors and fire extinguishers to protect from carbon monoxide and smoke/fire. ABC Fire Extinguishers and Photoelectric or optimum beam smoke detectors are recommended for RVs and homes. 10 RV Club General Meeting Minutes June 12, 2015 John Cormier opened meeting at 10:00 am. Attendance was light due to the fact that many members had already started their summer excursions. Approximately 80 members were in attendance. The secretary read minutes from the May 2015 meeting. Pat Reid read the Treasurer s report with a balance of $5, of which $2, is designated for the 2015 Christmas Party. The RV Club picnic was announced for November 13 to be held at the Mulberry Grove Pavilion after the general meeting. Tickets are $5.00 per person and the event will be catered and subsidized by the Club. Peggy Cormier has graciously volunteered to head the picnic committee. A few new members where introduced and welcomed to the club. A description of the rallies held in the intervening month were presented by Roger Blevins (Lakeland Rally) and Fred Bryant (Pipestem State Park, WV). Upcoming rally s were introduced: Anna Maria Island, Williston, FL Peanut festival and Thanksgiving at Fun and Sun in Sarasota Bob and Gail Kress volunteered to host the Lazy Days rally in conjunction with the Tampa RV Show. The dates are January 13-17, John Asked for more information on Storage places throughout The Villages area so that we might put that information on the web site. John reached out to those who are NOT getting the RV Club s to please verify their address with him. John reminded everyone that we all must start thinking about fall rallies now in order to have them put together for the fall. Christmas Party tickets will be sold at the, September, October and November meetings. The party is on Friday, December 4, at Lake Miona. Please see Lindy Dee for tickets. 11 RV Club General Meeting Minutes September 11, 2015 John Cormier opening meeting and talked about the very moving 911 Memorial that he and Peggy visited in August. It was suggested that reservations be made on-line to avoid lines. The secretary read minutes from the June 2015 meeting. Pat Reid read the Treasurer s report with a balance of $ of which $ is designated for the 2015 Christmas Party. 12 New Board Members will be needed for 2016 and we have received volunteers for Rally Coordinator, Secretary and Treasurer. Mark Herbert gave a detailed presentation on parking our RV s in The Villages. This information will be available on the web site. Fred Liebenau of Compass Storage, across from the Walmart on SR 466 gave a presentation on their totally enclosed RV garages. Any RV Club member can get ½ off their 1 st month rent if they choose Compass Storage. Fred can be reached at for more information. We had (3) $30.00 winners on the 50/50 drawing. 13 THE VILLAGES RV CLUB GENERAL MEETING October 9, 2015 President John Cormier opened meeting at 10 a.m. with Pledge of Allegiance. Board members were introduced including Karen Weber as acting secretary. Minutes were not read due to absence of Secretary Kelly Wyman. Forty new members joined in September Pat Reed gave Treasurers Report: Opening balance $ 5, Income $ 2, Expenses $ Balance $ 7, ($3, belongs to Christmas Dance and $ belongs To Picnic leaving a balance for Club of $ ) John announced three new rallies at Grand Oaks RV Park for New Members in January, February and March The purpose is for new members to get to know one another and learn some tips and suggestions for hosting a rally. John mentioned that Florida RV parks are very full in winter months. If you desire to host a rally he suggested that you ask for a smaller number of sites with a smaller group so you can be accommodated. Iris will host a Rally Lesson at her home. Call her if interested. Wagon Masters gave information on recent and future rallies: Barb Hatch Gulf Shores last week with 35 rigs. Very successful. 14 Judy Shapiro, co-owner of Alliance RV on Rt. 44 announced their Open House this weekend. They have been named one of the top 50 Dealers in the US for the 2 nd year in a row. They do treat to our donuts each meeting. Jo Spinks mentioned several members in need of hugs and prayers. Four new couples joined the Club today. John asked members to notify him if they are not receiving monthly s. Joe Palermo and Carlo Miner, Co-owners of Cam RV Detailing Service in Ocala described their washing, waxing, roof sealing and Pol- Glow fiberglass rejuvenating services. Karen Weber announced a new shuttle service to and from the airports. Their friend Steve Hopkins who owned a limo service in New York will pick up and deliver from your home. His number is John announced nominees for new Board of Directors next year: President John Cormier (2 nd term) Vice President George Wyman (2 nd term) Rally Coordinator Roger Blevins Member Coordinator JoAnne Heckman Secretary Doreen Welsh Treasurer Ron Frinkley John asked for additional nominations and there were none. Elections will be held in November. George Wyman will host a Flea Market table at each meeting for RV items to be traded or sold. The 50/50 paid 1 prize at $60, 1 at $40 and 1 at $33.
