3 "I CAN'T PAINT WORTH A DARN Event A fun afternoon for the "I M REALLY NOT-AN-ARTIST" Elizabeth s Gallery (Goderich) has arranged to have Susan Seitz, an amazing artist, come to Wildwood and present a SIP and PAINT workshop. Susan will guide us through a creative and personal process painting a pre selected picture, called "The Dancing Ladies". It is a whimsical portrayal of what you interpret in seeing. She encourages your creativity and it s not about copying what you see, rather self expression. It s not about painting better than someone else, rather self expression. By all accounts she is a young, funny and inspiring individual! A copy of the painting will be posted at the Rec centre bulletin board or visit her site You may not be an artist however you will have fun and may surprise yourself with your ability. Surprise yourself and be open to the possibilities of this experience. It has been proven that in order to keep our mental health and wellbeing stimulated, we actively need to try something NEW. Here is your chance! All Shareholders welcome and feel free to include friends or guests. Date: Saturday, July 23, 2016 Time: 1:30-4:00 pm Location: Wildwood by the River Cost: $50 includes all paint materials This is NOT a fundraiser it s a Friendraiser! To register contact Jane at jfalconer@bell.net or site 224. Further details will be provided regarding payment. Registration deadline June 29th. There is a minimum requirement of l2 participants. The SIP part of the event you supply! ENJOY EVERYDAY 3 of 8 DANCE YOUR FEET SILLY
4 GARDENS The work on the mini putt is a collaboration between mini putt and garden volunteers. Over the next couple of weeks, we are hoping to prepare the soil for sod, plant shade trees and redo the garden. Some safety issues need to be addressed also. Preparation of the ground and placement of the sod is where we need volunteers now. WE ARE PLANNING ON SOD ARRIVING FRIDAY, JUNE 24 th in late afternoon. Hoping our army of volunteers is on hand again! Garden mulch will be put in park garden areas. If you see mulch near our gardens, please note this is for PARK USE ONLY. Thank you to Paul and Pam G. for the blue spruce tree donations. We hope to have 2 more leafy shade trees in place in the mini putt area. MINI PUTT/GARDEN Still time to SPONSOR a MINI PUTT hole Imagine the fun you could have alligators, fun things (Lego land, candy store), picture history of Wildwood, hole obstacles, something of special meaning to your family, the list goes on. 5 Mat s Message: I would like to thank all Shareholders & Volunteers for the work they do in the park, I appreciate the help. I have noticed that speeding is still continuing in the park & in front of the office, please slow down before someone gets hurt. The Hydro project is moving along so in certain areas of the park there will be outages for a short period of time when work is being done, sorry for any inconvenience. Golf carts/atv s please have your beverages in a cup holder when driving & there will be no more forgiveness regarding stickers, please go to the office or park your vehicle. Parents with babies/toddlers in the pool please have appropriate swimmers on them, the swimmers (diapers) will be available in the office. Building permits that are finished please notify the office. Branch / Leaf pickup next week will be the last pickup until fall so cleanup now. When disposing of garbage and recycling, PLEASE put them in the appropriate bin, nothing more frustrating then to have to pick out garbage from the recycling bin. Also can the shareholder who has donated the piano at the rec hall, please inform the office, it would be greatly appreciated. ENJOY EVERYDAY 5 of 8 DANCE YOUR FEET SILLY
