Boulder, Colo. / Boulder (* SITTING OUT PER NCAA TRANSFER RULES. Eligible ) Head Coach Lynne Roberts Seventh Season (9-119) - Seattle Pacific (1997, 000) Through six seasons at the helm of the women s basketball program, Head Coach Lynne Roberts has turned the Pacific Tigers into a post-season program and a Big West title contender. In 011-1, Roberts squad turned in the highest win total in 10 seasons and made a post-season tournament for the second time in program history. She led the Tigers to the Women s National Invitation Tournament, as Pacific advanced to the second round with the program s first-ever postseason victory, a 77-6 home win over Arizona State. Pacific also picked up a regular season win over NCAA Tournament participant Florida (who advanced to the second round). Roberts led the Tigers to 18 wins in and has 155 career coaching victories. With almost the entire roster returning for 01-13, it appears that the Tigers will be among the top teams in the Big West Conference and have lofty expectations for her seventh season. A fierce competitor, Roberts has instilled her team with a never-say-die mindset that has led to a number of big comebacks. In her fifth season at the helm (010-11) the Tigers erased 10-point deficits in 13 different games, including a Big West Quarterfinal win at UC Santa Barbara. The Tigers snapped a 4-game losing streak at the Thunderdome by ending the game on a run to topple regular season co-champion. While their number of double-digit comebacks decreased from the previous year, the Tigers had learned to close out games with authority: Pacific rallied from down 10 points in the final :1 to force overtime in a win at Nevada; slammed the door against Florida with seven points in the final 9 seconds; finished off Fullerton with a 6-0 game-ending run in a five-point win; and ran off a 1- run at UC Santa Barbara for a four-point win. Pacific finished tied for third in the Big West in 011-1, the highest BWC finish since 004. Roberts has guided Pacific to three top four finishes in the BWC in her six seasons. With 69 victories entering her seventh season, she ranks second on the Tigers all=time win list (69-113). In her six seasons, the Tigers have racked up 0 All-Big West team honors, five All-Freshman Team honors, and the Sixth Woman of the Year award, won by center Christina Thompson (008-01). The Tigers finished second in offense (69. PPG) in the Big West, and led the conference in offensive rebounds (15.3/Game) in The fast-paced Tigers have hit the 90-point mark seven times in Roberts tenure, as each game ranks in the top 0 point totals in Tiger history. Against Cal State Bakersfield, the Tigers scored 38 fast-break points, set a school record with 74 points in the paint, and handing out a school record-tying 34 assists. Defensively, the Tigers held opponents under 50 three times, including a win over UC Santa Barbara. Roberts led the Tigers to a overall mark and an 8-8 conference record in Additionally, Roberts helped guide her squad to the best home record in program history, when the Tigers went 1- in the Spanos Center. Additionally, the Tigers finished No. 1 in rebounding, averaging 40.3 rebounds per game. Before coming to Pacific, Roberts spent four seasons at Chico State, building the Wildcats into a national power at the NCAA Division II level. During her final season, the Wildcats were 8-4 in , advancing to the NCAA Final Four. She compiled a record of in her four years at Chico State, leading the team to a school record for wins in each of her last two seasons. She earned California Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year honors in both and , leading the Wildcats to first place finishes. In Roberts led the club to a 4-6 record and the first CCAA title in school history. Additionally, the Wildcats advanced to the NCAA Tournament West Region title game. Roberts was named the WBCA West Region Coach of the Year. After an outstanding playing career at Seattle Pacific, she became an assistant coach for the Falcons in She helped lead the team to a Pacific West Conference title, an NCAA Tournament West Regional Championship, and a trip to the Elite Eight.During her five years as an assistant coach at Seattle Pacific, the Falcons compiled an impressive record and made five straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances. During Roberts playing career at Seattle Pacific, she received numerous honors. As a co-captain her senior year, she was named to the NCAA West Regional All-Tournament team and was selected second team all-conference her junior year. She holds six school records for three-point field goals, including most threes made in a season (8) and career (196), which are also Pacific West Conference records. Roberts graduated in the spring of 1997 with a degree in history from Seattle Pacific and added a master s degree in athletic administration in the spring of 000. A native of Northern California, she attended Enterprise High School in Redding, where she earned 1 varsity letters and was named the 1993 Northern Section Player of the Year. P a g e

3 LAST TIME VERSUS UC DAVIS The Tigers are 10-1 all-time against UC Davis, and have won the last two meetings. Pacific won the first meeting this year, a victory in the Spanos Center in the conference opener. The Tigers also posted a win in the BWC quarterfinals last season in Davis after the two teams tied for third in the conference standings. HOME SWEET HOME Pacific set the program record for home wins in a season with a 13- record in The Tigers toppped the squad (1-). Pacific is out-scoring opponents at home. The Tigers had won 1 straight home games, the second-longest home win streak in program history, two back of the program mark before a home loss to Cal Poly on Feb. 7. ROAD SWEET ROAD Pacific tied the program record for road wins in a season Saturday at UC Irvine. The Tigers are 10-4 on the road this season, tied with the 10-4 mark turned in by the Tigers. Four road losses is the fewest by a Pacific team in a single-season. WINTER OF 69 Pacific is now 7-4 in the last 31 games when scoring 69 or more points in regulation, including 13- this season. The two losses this year were an 8-89 loss at Florida, and the triple overtime loss at Cal Poly (tied after regulation. Pacific is since the start of last season when being held to 68 points or less in regulation. BALANCED ATTACK The Tigers have had ten different players score 10 or more points in a game this season: Kendall Rodriguez () Kendall Kenyon (1), Gena Johnson (1), Erica McKenzie (15), Ashley Wakefield (11), Shanice Butler (3), Brianna Johnson, Sam Pettinger, Claire Conricode and Hailie Eackles. Last season, the Tigers also had 10 different players hit double-figures in at least one contest. Pacific has had all five starters score in double-figures three times this season, against CSU Bakersfield (when seven Tigers hit double-digits) at Florida and at Cal Poly (in three overtimes). The loss to the Gators was the first time the Tigers have had five players score in double-figures in a loss since Dec. 4, 007 at Colorado State, a feat duplicated a Cal Poly and that has now happened only 14 times in Pacific history. Kenyon First To Grab 0+ boards in years Kendall Kenyon s rebounds against CS Northridge (1/19) was the sixth most in a game this season and tied for the fifth-most in a Division I game this season. She was the first Tiger to grab 0 since Natasha Norris in 1991, and the first to grab since Janet Otto grabbed 7 in December of Against Long Beach State, she grabbed 19 rebounds - eight offensive, 11 defensive - to give her five-straight double-doubles and 7 rebounds in a five-game stretch. MISS JOHNSON S NEIGHBORHOOD With 99 career rejections, Gena Johnson ranks third all-time in blocked shots at Pacific. She is one shy of 100 and a tie for second. She is nine blocks back of Julie Szukalski s all-time mark of 108 blocks. Last season, Johnson was second in the country in blocked shots by guards, and tops among point guards. She ranks 1th among guards in the NCAA in blocks per game this season. RECORD-SETTING PACE Kendall Kenyon s field goal percentage of.57 this season is on pace for the second-best in a single-season mark in Tiger history, behind Larelle Hendon s top mark of.608 (104-of-171; ). Kenyon is also on pace for Pacific s single-season rebounding record (308 by Karen Peets, ) as she has 88 and is on pace for 317 or more. She is also two back of the single-season offensive rebound record (96, set last year by Kendall Rodriguez). Kenyon is also on pace to challenge for Pacific s single-season blocks record, with 48 now and a pace for 54 (Leslie Cox, recorded 55 in ). SPEAKING OF PACE It might be an early projection, but with 44 career rebounds in 57 games, Kendall Kenyon is on pace for the Tigers career rebounding record. She already ranks 4th on Pacific s all-time rebounding list as a sophomore. At her current season average, she d be the fourth-fastest Tiger to reach 500 career boards (63 games), which would slot her 18th in career rebounding already. At her current career clip (7.75 per game), she d be on pace for 949 boards, which would challenge Julie Szukalski s all-time mark of 958 ( ). At her current season average (9.9) over 65 more games, Kenyon would finish with 1086 boards. The Tigers have never had a player with 1000 career points and 1000 career rebounds. Kenyon would need to average 8.58 rebounds and 7.66 points in 65 games to achieve the feet. Fittingly, her 1,000th point came on a three-pointer. Less than a minute into the game, McKenzie connected on her 15th career three pointer to hit 1,000 exactly. She sits 14th on Pacific s all-time scoring list with 1164 points. KENDALL HITS ONE-K Senior Kendall Rodriguez became the 17th member of Pacific s 1000-point club with a first-half three-pointer against USF on Dec. 9. She finished the game with points and now sits ninth on Pacific s all-time scoring list with 1,40 points. At her season scoring average, she s on pace to crack the top eight, and could hit the top five with 74 points in Pacific s remaining games (minimum of three remaining). G MAKES THREE? Junior Gena Johnson has moved into 1st on Pacific s all-time scoring list with 96 points. She s 74 shy of joining Rodriguez and McKenzie in the 1000 point club. With one regular season games remaining, the Tigers would likely need to advance in the Big West tournament and make a post-season tournament for her to get there this season. Johnson would need to average 18.5 points per game in four games, or 14.8 in five games to hit the century mark this season. PRORATED, IT S ALL FIVE With four-year seniors Kendall Rodriguez (140) and Erica McKenzie (1164) already members of the 1000 point club, junior Gena Johnson (96) on the cusp of joining, the Tigers starting lineup has five players who average over 50 points a season. Sophomore center Kendall Kenyon has tallied 50 career points, while two-year senior Ashley Wakefield has 535 in 51 games. INSIDE-OUT The Tigers 15-of-3 three-point shooting against Cal State Northrige was a season-high 65. percent, and is tied with UConn for the sixth-best percentage in a game in the NCAA this season. The Tigers shot eight-of-1 from two-point range (.381). The Tigers season three-point percentage rose 16 points to.349. ESPN.COM RECOGNIZES PACIFIC ESPN.com listed Pacific No. 9 in February 5th s Mid-Major report (accompanied by a picture of Kendall Kenyon). The Tigers cracked the top 10 for the first time this season, after back-to-back listings at 14th in Graham Hayes biweekly list of 15 programs outside the ACC, Big 10, Big 1, Big East, Pac-1 or SEC conferences. Monday s edition of Bracketology projects the Tigers as a 13 seed in the NCAA Tournament. THE LOST WEEKEND The Tigers lost leads of 1 vs Cal Poly (3:11 1st) and 14 vs UC Santa Barbara (17:11 second) to drop its first two home games of the year on Feb. 7 and Feb. 9. Pacific started the season 11-0 at home (one of last 13 undefeated teams at home), and had won 1-straight home games. Pacific entered the week at 15-0 when leading at the half, 14-0 when shooting a higher field goal percentage, and 14-0 when out-scoring its opponent in the paint; All undefeated marks that went by the wayside against Cal Poly and UCSB. The Tigers were outscored in the final nine minutes of the two games (aided by a foul count of 1- against Pacific. The Tigers were called for the final five fouls in each game, only the last of which was intentional). ON THE LINE The Tigers hit a season-best 15-of-16 (.938) from the free throw line to hold on for a 1-point victory at Cal State Fullerton (1/6). Pacific also hit 13-of-16 on the road against Cal State Northridge (/14). The Tigers are shooting 31 points higher from the free throw line in road games, but get to the line far less often. ERICA FOR 5 Erica McKenzie sprung for a then-season-high 5 points against UC Irvine, draining six-of-11 from behind the three-point line. She finished one three-pointer away from tying her career high in points (8, vs Sacramento State in 010). Her six threes were two off the program record of eight -- which she went on to tie against Cal State Northridge on Feb. 14. McKenzie is one of just five players to hit six or more three-pointers in a game at Pacific. CATCH-1 The Tigers erased a 1-point deficit to force overtime at Cal Poly, the largest deficit overcome to tie or take the lead in program history. Over 18:41, Pacific outscored Cal Poly to bring a 47-6 game back to all square at 65. The Tigers trailed by 18 at halftime, and outscored the Mustangs 44-6 in the second half. TRIPLE THE HEARTBREAK Pacific and Cal Poly both played the first triple-overtime game in their program s history on Jan. 1, with the Mustangs taking a one-point win. The Tigers fell to 5- in multi-overtime games. Neither team held a lead of more than one possession at any time in the extra sessions. The Tigers trailed for only 5 seconds of the 15 overtime minutes, but the last 8.8 seconds of the game. P a g e 4

5 THAT S NOT BAD EITHER Kendall Rodriguez hit five-of-seven from three-point range for 16 points against Northridge (/14), only 15 times has a Pacific player connected on more treys in a game but one of them happened to be Erica McKenzie s 8-for-10 performance in the same game. As a team, Pacific hit 15-of-3 from behind the arc against the Matadors, with Gena Johnson and Kristina Johnson each adding a trey. OH NO-VERTIME One-third of Pacific s losses have come in overtime this season, as the Tigers are 0- in games that go to extra time. The Tigers fell by one at Cal Poly in three OTs, and at Hawai i by three in a single extra frame. WHAT KEEPS US UP AT NIGHT Pacific s four conference losses have come down to the final possession (or just about). At Cal Poly, the Tigers held a three-point lead with eight seconds remaining in regulation, but an and-one putback tied the game and forced overtime. Pacific had the ball with a chance to win twice in the triple overtime game before falling by one. At home against Cal Poly, the Tigers trailed by one with the ball and 10 seconds remaining, but turned it over in the backcourt, leading to a pair of Poly free throws and Pacific s game-tying attempt missed its mark amid contact. Against UC Santa Barbara, the Gauchos hit a pair of free throws for the lead with 33 seconds to go, and added another two from the stripe before Pacific s game-tying three attempt was off the mark. Officials added time to the clock for UCSB to hit another pair of free throws for a five-point margin. The 10 points tied for the third-most in school history and tied for the most against a Division I opponent. SEVEN HIT DOUBLE-FIGURES For the first time in school history, seven Tigers scored in double-figures in the same game, as Kendall Rodriguez (16), Gena Johnson (14), Ashley Wakefield (13), Erica McKenzie (13), Kendall Kenyon (11), Hailie Eackles (10) and Shanice Butler (10) hit double-digits against Cal State Bakersfield. Ten different Tigers have hit double-figures in a game this season (Claire Conricode, Brianna Johnson and Sam Pettinger being the others). Johnson tallied a season-high eight points in Pacific s win at UC Riverside and matched it with eight against Long Beach State. Against the 49ers, she hit a pair of three-pointers on two attempts and added a drive to the basket. MAD BOMBERS The Tigers struck for a season-high 13 three-pointers at Saint Mary s on Dec. 0, and tied the program record with 15 against Cal State Northridge on Feb. 14. POINTS ON THE TAB Tabatha Anderson scored her first career points against CSU Bakersfield, hitting a pair of free throws (for points 99 and 100 in the game). It was the second appearance of the year for the walk-on. She grabbed her first career rebound at UC Riverside. BEST START IN 30 YEARS The Tigers started 7-0 for the second time in program history and first since the Pacific squad started a program-best 9-0 mark. The streak was also the fourth-longest win streak in school history. PACIFIC TRANSITIONS TO WCC The Tigers went a perfect 3-0 against future West Coast Conference opponents this season. Pacific downed Santa Clara, 7-45, won at Saint Mary s,75-7, and posted a win over San Francisco. The Tigers will join the WCC next year after 9 women s basketball seasons in the Big West. The Tigers three losses when posting more points in the paint this season were at home to Cal Poly and UCSB, and at Hawai i. Last season, the second round of the WNIT against San Diego and a home loss to Cal State Northridge. The Tigers and Cal Poly each scored 50 points in the paint in Pacific s triple-overtime loss this season. 100 GameS AND COUNTING for Rodriguez and McKenzie Erica McKenzie and Kendall Rodriguez have played 11 games, the all-time most at Pacific. McKenize has started 115 games, while Rodriguez has started 109. McKenzie has chance to reach the program mark of 119 games started, held by Cathy Lauritzen. For Rodriguez to get to 119, the Tigers would need to finish third in the Big West, make the Big West tournament finals, and then the finals of the NCAA Tournament or WNIT (and she d still trail McKenzie).
