3 CHRISTMAS MEETING WITH LUNCH Our normal meeting was held on Sunday 3 rd December followed by a catered lunch with huge platters of ham and chicken with salads and dessert provided by members. Thanking everyone involved, all members agreed that it was a delightful lunch. As this was catered by the Club, a $5.00 donation to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. Please pay at next meeting, or forward to Treasurer, Andrea Shine, PO Box 1074, Bunbury, WA 6239 Sales Table: A reminder that all your orchid needs can be obtained through the Club on meeting mornings. If you need to pre-order any orchid bark or Perlite, please contact Norm Martin. All other supplies such as pots, fertilisers, orchid clips, hanging pots, etc will be available on meeting morning. Orchid bark supplies will be stored and available from the Club s shed in Halifax. Please contact Norm Martin to arrange any purchases and pick up from Shed. Please note that the pick up is at Norm s discretion. December meeting of the Bunbury Orchid Society was held in the Australind hall commencing at 10.05am. President Rick Winch opened the meeting welcoming our Parton Arthur Buswell, members and recognizing life members in attendance. Vistor Ennola from France was welcomed. Attendance book was signed and apologies noted. Minutes of the November meeting were issued with the Orchid Talk. Minutes accepted A. light (S) D. Light. Business Arising :- Garden City Plastics cheque has been misplaced and may need to be cancelled and reissued. As this is our Christmas meeting members are asked to make a donation of $5.00 to the Salvation Army for the needy. Other winners of the raffles were too numerous to list. A big thank you to all who donated items to the raffle. Awards and trophies were presented by Arthur Buswell. Judges awards were presented by Mike Baker for the 2017 year. Rick Winch presented Popular vote award to Len Munnings. Rick thanked all members who helped and supplied food the Christmas lunch. Next meeting will be the AGM in February 2018 Meeting closed and a Christmas lunch was enjoyed by all.
