5 2008 Baker was limited to two games during the opening weekend due to injuries... applied for a medical redshirt, and if granted will receive another year of eligibility... pitched a scoreless inning in the season opener against Nevada on Feb. 8, striking out two and giving up one hit... tossed two innings against Santa Clara on Feb. 9, fanning three and allowing a homer and a walk Battled through injuries during her freshman season, appearing in 11 games in the circle... made six starts, throwing three complete games and two shutouts... went 4-3 with a 2.65 earned run average in 37 innings with 45 strikeouts... had a season-high 11 strikeouts and allowed just two hits and no walks in a complete-game win over Southern Utah (March 13)... threw a two-hit, complete-game victory against Canisius on March 10, striking out nine and retiring 17 in a row at one point... also struck out eight in a win over Loyola-Chicago (March 4) and picked up a victory in relief at California (April 22).
