Last Game The Oregon State baseball team dropped a 5-4 decision to Hawaii Sunday afternoon at Les Murakami Stadium as the host Rainbows overcame a two-run deficit in the ninth for the win. Hawaii pinch hitter Christian Johnson tied the game with a one-out, solo home run off Oregon State closer Kevin Rhoderick. The Rainbows won the game with two outs when Collin Bennett singled to right center on a 3-2 pitch from Rhoderick, bringing in Kolten Wong from third. First AB Shutdown Oregon State relievers have come into a game and faced a combined eight batters to open their outings. Only one batter has reached base to open against OSU relievers (12.5 percent). Romero To Open Through the first three games of the season, Stefen Romero is 6-for-12 with two home runs and six RBI. Romero went 2-for-4 with a home run on Sunday. No. 2 Program Oregon State was ranked as the No. 2 program of the last decade in a poll by Baseball America. They combined to hold Hawaii to no hits and three strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings.
