2 Fiscal Year 2016 List of Obligated Federally Funded Projects The Fixing America's Surface (FAST) Act directs Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), such as the Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency (KIPDA), to publish a list of federally funded projects that were obligated in the preceding fiscal year. An obligated project is one in which the federal government has made a commitment to pay the federal share of the project cost. KIPDA, cooperatively with the Indiana Department of (INDOT), the Kentucky Cabinet and the, has developed a list of projects that were obligated in Fiscal Year 2016 for the Louisville/Jefferson County, KY IN Metropolitan Planning Area. This list of obligated federally funded projects is can be found in the following tables and includes maintenance projects, roadway improvements, transit projects, pedestrian walkways, bicycle facilities and many others. The Indiana projects were obligated in state Fiscal Year 2016, from July 1, 2015 through June 30, The Kentucky projects, as well as the TARC projects, were obligated in federal Fiscal Year 2016, from October 1, 2015 through September 30, The projects are shown by state and county, and listed alphabetically by Project Sponsor. The transit projects follow the Indiana and Kentucky projects. The information that is shown includes the federal funding source, project descriptions (when applicable), the federal funds that were obligated, and other funding details.
