Turn right onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block and turn right onto Clark Road. At the end of Clark Road you will find the entrance to the E1 lot. o Directions to E 1 from Highway 520: Take the Montlake Boulevard exit. Continue north on Montlake Boulevard, crossing the drawbridge. You will pass Husky Stadium and Hec Edmundson Pavilion on your right. When the road forks, bear right to stay on Montlake Boulevard. Turn right at Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block and turn right onto Clark Road. At the end of Clark Road you will find the entrance to the E 1 lot. For more parking around the University please go to: Trailer Information The E 8 lot will be available for shell storage ONLY after 10 pm on Friday, May 1 st, Teams arriving earlier will need to use the grass/woodchip area for shell storage. No trailers are allowed in E 8. All vehicles and trailers will need to be parked in the E 1 parking lot after unloading. $10 per vehicle Trailers should drive along the Cannal road. Unload next to E 8 then continue to the E 1 Parking lot. 3

5 Race Day Logistics Race Course Information Races will be run by USRowing officials meter course, unbuoyed lanes, with row through starting dock, markers at 500m, 1000m 1500m and finish. Starting Dock will be used for last 4 races only. 8+s, 4+s, 4x+s only 4 boat races Coaches/Coxswain Meeting This meeting will be held Saturday morning, promptly at 8:00am, Husky Stadium Assembly Room. (Access through Alaska Airlines Arena). Meet in front of the Shellhouse at 7:45 a.m. Attendance will be taken. Launching/Docking Info: Launching is available from University of Washington docks beginning 40min before your race. Buoyed warm up lanes to north of course, directly in front of boathouse. See attached map for exact location and traffic pattern. Failure to follow traffic pattern and heed safety warnings will result in penalties and or disqualification. Allow time to wait for dock availability when launching All crews must wait past finish line until end of racing section to return to docks (approx 1 1/2hr wait time) please bring warm clothes to wait in o Row Back order will be Pocock Memorial wooden boats Windermere Cup Winning boats Then all others. Coaches Please make sure your athletes have dressed accordingly. Extra layers of warm clothes. 5

6 Spectators The Montlake Cut has been the Huskies home course since 1960, and is considered one of the most iconic in collegiate rowing. There are several locations to watch the races from o Canoe House and Totem Pole East end of the Montlake Cut. o Montlake Bridge Watch the teams battle from above o Finish Line watch from either side of the Montlake Cut. 6
