We hope you will find this helpful as we venture into the wrestling season! Helpful Parent Reminders! To sign up for REMIND, text to the REMINDERS: ALWAYS Park in the back and NO street shoes in prac ce area wrestling shoes or socks ONLY. W t-shirt and gym shorts to prac ce B own water bo le (with tops that don t leak) C keep them home (24 hour rule) If your child is showing any signs of illness (i.e. runny nose, persistent cough, fever, etc.) please keep them home from prac ce. This is a long season - let s help to keep everyone as healthy as possible. W - if school is called off because of weather (no school or early release) there will be NO Mat Rat prac ce Tournaments: Trackwrestling.com (most are on this site) Monroe Mat Rat Youth Tournament is Sunday, January 20! Please help where you can set-up/clean-up; concessions; dona ons USA s: ($40 good for one year) If your child is wrestling in a tournament that is USA Required, you must have the USA with you at the tournament. Some USA tournaments do supply USA cards to purchase at the tournament. If you do this you must have the child's actual birth cer ficate. Singlets: SINGLETS! Must have a $50 Deposit - check payable to YMCA (will be returned at end of season) to receive a singlet. See Heidi Wi for agreement/ rental form. Team/Individual Picture Day: Monday, January 14 at 6pm for ALL wrestlers Apparel Orders: RBS Ac vewear - due at midnight tonight, December 17. Orders should arrive the week of January 7. Monthly Calendar: See a ached Calendar for Important Dates and Prac ce Times for the Month of December and January! E!! P C C! Has your wrestler outgrown his/her wrestling shoes? Do you have head gear not being used? If so, please consider dona ng your items to the Mat Rat Wrestling Program. Bring your items to prac ce so we can find a new home for them. Thank you! REMINDER! 2 December 17, 2018 In the news!! Mat Rats Compete at Fort Atkinson Holiday Challenge Three Monroe Mat Rats competed at the Fort Atksinson Holiday Challenge on Saturday, December 15. This was a 4-person round robin tournament bracketed out by grade and weight. Kaydon Proctor placed 3rd in the 49-50lb bracket for 1st and 2nd Grade. Blaine Fletcher placed 3rd in the 50-53lb bracket for 1st and 2nd Grade. Carson Menehan placed 2nd in the 85-87lb bracket for 5th and 6th Grade. Well done Mat Rats! We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our Mat Rat families and coaches a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May you all be blessed with health and happiness!
