Page 4 Homecoming The Zephyrhills High School Student Council is proud to announce the theme for Homecoming 2018 will be A Bulldog Spooky Spectacular. The week will run October 15-20th.

4 Page 4 Homecoming The Zephyrhills High School Student Council is proud to announce the theme for Homecoming 2018 will be A Bulldog Spooky Spectacular. The week will run October 15-20th. The spirit and dress-up days include: Monday: No School Teacher Planning Day Tuesday: Toddler Day - Dress up as you did when you were a toddler. Wednesday: Character Day -Dress up as a character from your favorite movie, book or even meme. Thursday: Dynamic Duo Day -Dress up with a twin or be a famous duo. Friday: Spirit Day -Dress up in your best Orange & Black and add a little spookiness to your outfit. The annual Homecoming Parade will take place on October 18th at 4:30pm in Downtown Zephyrhills. The theme for each class float will be: Seniors: Hocus Pocus Juniors: Ghostbusters Sophomore: Halloweentown Freshman: Scooby Doo The Zephyrhills Bulldogs football team will take on Wesley Chapel on Friday, October 19th at 7:30pm for the Homecoming football game. During halftime, the crowing of the 2018 Homecoming court will occur. The week will conclude with the Homecoming Dance on the evening of the Saturday, October 20th at 7:00 pm in the Zephyrhills High Activity Center. Looking forward to a spirit filled week! Read This Before Shopping For Homecoming! The dress code for the homecoming dance will be semi-formal. This means boys in suits or dress shirts, dress pants and ties. No jeans, tennis shoes, polo shirts or T-shirts. For girls this means dresses or dressy pantsuits. The dresses must meet the school dress code in terms of length, cleavage coverage and must cover the midriff area (no belly buttons showing). No bubble dresses will be allowed. These rules apply to the dance and to halftime court presentation. Any student, who is not dressed appropriately, will be asked to go home and change. Girls may put on leggings under their dress in order to meet dress code. If the leggings are removed after entering the dance, the girl may be asked to leave the dance. No refunds will be issued for dance tickets.

5 Page 5 Teen Court The Teen Court members are Makenna Campbell, Brooklyn Campos, Emily DeyArmin, Kelsey Hamm, Gabriel Johnston, Emily Kirk, Monica Leonard, Emile Limoges, Ashlynn Potter, Alieani Silva, Mersades Walser and Justin Young. Bulldog Inn Dress Closet The Bulldog Inn Dress Closet is open! We have an assortment of shoes, sashes, homecoming and prom dresses available for girls. We also have dress shirts,dress pants, and ties for the guys. All for FREE. Please stop by the cafeteria during lunch or after school and speak with Mrs. Rebecca Mastykarz or Mrs. Denice Ferraina to set up a time to browse. JROTC RAIDER TEAM On September 15 th the Raiders attended their first Raider meet at Lakewood Ranch High School. Mix, male, and female teams all began their day at 4am making an hour long trip to compete. After a long day, the Raiders experienced an abundance of teamwork in difficult situations, and placed fifth overall! Following that, on September 29 th the Suncoast Battalion at USF held a meet to compete for a scholarship. Different obstacles and tasks were thrown at them unexpectedly. The three teams all worked together efficiently to successfully complete the events. The day ended with the Raider team placing third overall!! COASTAL CLEANUP Coastal cleanup is an event that happens annually on the 15tth of September. This year the Crusaders team had the privilege of being in charge of the event. The cadets helped clean up pollution or waste that was left behind at the Zephyr park. As a result of this event, people should be more aware of their surroundings and take care of our community. The Club exists to try to give students a better insight into this career path and give students the ability to make connections with each other and outside community agencies. Club members learn and have hand-on training in criminal incident, defensive tactics, evidence packaging, criminal justice exam, forensic investigation, traffic stops, high risk traffic stops, ideal prison, incident report writing, latent lifting, Law Enforcement Officer obstacle course, traffic crash report writing, use of force-novice, community service project, CPR-First Aid, Emergency Go-Kit, extemporaneous speaking, extemporaneous opening statements, job seeking skills, prepared bulletin board display, prepared marketing poster display, preparing speaking and many other criminal justice related topics. The Criminal Justice Club is proud to announce their Officers. President is Kelsey Hamm, Vice Presidents are Hannah Moore and Chase Storer, Secretary is Savannah Baptist, Treasurer is Breanne Rood, Supply Officer is Justin Young and Historian is Brooklyn Campos. FBLA Future Business Leaders of America is a national organization for high school students to enhance their business and leadership skills. If you are interested in joining the club, please see Ms. Dawson by Friday, October 16 to pay your club dues of $30. This includes your district, state & national dues plus a FBLA t-shirt.
