1 2016 ACM PLEASE READ THE SCHEDULE CAREFULLY GENERAL RULES No WI name or exhibitor s name to be shown on exhibit Entries must display the OFFICIAL ALLOCATED WI NUMBER only, supplied by WI House The marking will be in accordance with the standards laid down in the 2015 edition of On with the Show plus any amendments made after this date In the interests of food safety, no food containing fish, pate or fresh cream will be judged Plain jars should be used for showing Jars and lids with trade names are not acceptable New lids should be used for showing Fruit curds, mincemeat and uncooked chutneys and relishes are not accepted as a true preserve The Judge s decision is final No more than TWO PEOPLE per WI/per Class to stage exhibits Whilst every care will be taken, the Federation cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of a Competitor Judging will commence promptly at 9:00 am Members Choice classes will be judged solely by the members attending the meeting ALL entries EXCEPT Class 6 should be brought to the COMPETITION ENTRANCE on the day. ALL entries to be collected at the end of the event before 4pm. The committee reserve the right to dispose of uncollected items. CLOSING DATE for entry applications: Monday 5 September

2 2016 ACM CLASS 1 - CO-OPERATIVE ENTRY FUN AND GAMES Your own interpretation The competition is for a display of 3 items: 1 cookery item 1 craft of your own choice 1 preserve These items are to be displayed on a covered board, 61cms x 61cms (24 x 24 ) square and to be viewed from the front. The use of a backboard and/or sideboards will be at the discretion of the WI All items should be able to be removed for judging The exhibit should reflect the title Fun and Games No sugarcraft is to be entered in this class No WI name to be shown on entry The ALLOCATED WI NUMBER to be displayed on the entry and on ALL ITEMS to be judged To enhance your overall entry, suitable accessories may be used on Tuesday 18 October between 8:00 8:45 am TWO MEMBERS ONLY will be allowed to set up the whole entry. All members will be asked to leave the competition area 15 minutes before judging starts

3 2016 ACM CLASS 2 - FLORAL ART and DESIGN NATURE S PLAYGROUND An exhibit containing any NATURAL PLANT MATERIAL. The entry must be of a maximum size 61cms x 61cms deep (24 x 24 ), height unlimited, to be staged on a table The exhibit may contain drapes, bases, accessories, containers and more than one placement, all of which must be arranged within the space allowed. The following are the ONLY reasons why an exhibit is marked Not according to Schedule : Not complying with the schedule in content or size The cut ends of all fresh material must be in water or water-retaining material Strong fibrous stems need not be in water The use of artificial plant materials is not allowed No WI name to be shown on the entry The entry must show the allocated WI number ALL EXHIBITS TO BE BROUGHT READY ASSEMBLED by a Maximum of 2 members on Tuesday 18 October between 8:00 8:45am

4 2016 ACM CLASS 2a NOVICE FLORAL ART and DESIGN The NOVICE CLASS is open to WI members who have not previously been placed in a Floral Art and Design Class at a Federation Competition NATURE S PLAYGROUND An exhibit containing any NATURAL PLANT MATERIAL. The entry must be of a maximum size 61cms x 61cms deep (24 x 24 ), height unlimited, to be staged on a table The exhibit may contain drapes, bases, accessories, containers and more than one placement, all of which must be arranged within the space allowed. 5 2016 ACM CLASS 3 - SUGAR CRAFT (ONE entry per WI The class is for an item of Sugarcraft BOARD GAME(S) To be displayed on a square cake board Maximum size of board 25cms x 25cms (10 x 10 ) The exhibit should reflect the title 'Board Game(s)' The exhibit must be edible and 100% sugarcraft No WI name to be shown on the entry The entry must show the allocated WI number All entries must be brought to the Competition Entrance on Tuesday 18 October between 8:00-8:45 am

6 A Craft item using any medium The entry should be: Completed in the last TWO years 2016 ACM CLASS 4 - CRAFT A TEAM MASCOT PLEASE STATE IF IT IS YOUR OWN DESIGN No WI name is to be shown on or to be part of the entry The entry must show the allocated WI number. It may be tied on to the entry on Tuesday 18 October between 8:00-8:45am 2016 ACM CLASS 4a NOVICE CRAFT The NOVICE CLASS is open to WI members who have not previously been placed in a Craft Class at a Federation Competition A Craft item using any medium The entry should be: Completed in the last TWO years A TEAM MASCOT PLEASE STATE IF IT IS YOUR OWN DESIGN No WI name is to be shown on or to be part of the entry The entry must show the allocated WI number. 7 2016 ACM CLASS 5 - ART MEMBERS CHOICE CARNIVAL Each art work must be: An original work In any 2-dimensional medium Maximum overall size 45cms x 45cms (18 x 18 ) UNFRAMED but rigid and ready to display, mounts are allowed Digitally produced prints or copies will not be accepted The artist s name or initials must not be visible No WI name is to be shown on the entry The art work must show the allocated WI number ON THE BACK The winning entries will be chosen by the members The entry should be brought to the Competition entrance on Tuesday 18 October between 8:00-8:45am

8 2016 ACM CLASS 6 - PHOTOGRAPHY AN ACTION SHOT A photograph size 25cms x 20cms (10 x 8 ) The photograph should be: EITHER MOUNTED on card for display OR use a MOUNT of maximum size 30cms x 25cms (12 x 10 ) No framed photographs will be accepted No WI name to be shown on the entry Each entry must show the allocated WI number ON THE BACK EACH ENTRY must be sent to WI HOUSE, to arrive by: Monday 19 September

9 2016 ACM CLASS 7 - POSTER MEMBERS CHOICE POSTER FOR A CIRCUS PERFORMANCE The entry must be original, designed and produced using a computer Using A4 sized paper 29.5cms x 21cms (11.6 x 8.2 ) Mounted on A4 board for display No framed posters will be accepted The designers name or initials must no be shown No WI name to be shown on the entry Each entry must show the allocated WI number ON THE BACK The winning entries will be chosen by the members on Tuesday 18 October between 8:00-8:45am
