President s Report for October G Day All, It was to late in the last issue to congratulate Phoebe and Tyson on their win in Gympie, but I am sure they know just how proud we all are of them.

3 President s Report for October G Day All, It was to late in the last issue to congratulate Phoebe and Tyson on their win in Gympie, but I am sure they know just how proud we all are of them. Your dedication and commitment is certainly starting to pay off for you guys, keep up the great work. Well the Talent Search is only weeks away now, so get your entries in as soon as possible, as there are no late entries on the day. Please make sure your sold raffle ticket butts are in before the Talent Search weekend. Also any sponsorships that have not been paid please get them to Maureen or Val as soon as possible. I would like to thank the Kelso Club for cancelling their Sunday Country which falls on the same weekend as the Talent Search. My tip for all the competitors in the festival is, make sure you announce your song title clearly and don t rush it. When you start to sing make sure you keep the microphone in the right position which is in line with your mouth and not to the side. We had a great night at Sue and Lauries s place last Saturday for the Jam, everyone was in fine form and we even had a couple of learner drummers there. The nomination forms for the A.G.M. are in this edition, so now is the time to step forward if you feel you can do something constructive for YOUR club. I hope we don t have anybody on the sick list but if you are please get better soon. Don t forget our Friday Night Country and our Funday before the Talent Search. Country Always, Darryl

9 AN APOLOGY FROM THE MAGAZINE EDITOR and an opportunity for me to fill a blank space! When the lovely Miss Lyn claimed she was upset that her photo didn t appear in the magazine as well, to the extent that it ruined her day, I felt really bad, SO, pictured at left we have the lovely Miss Lyn accepting her trophy and cheque in the company of the smiling Mr Robert Katter and somebody else too at the Hughenden C.M. Festival. Just one problem, she doesn t own it. Trophy belongs to me, the magazine editor, who due to her little adventure whilst travelling alone to Hughenden Friday afternoon, and having the misfortune to get stuck in the mulga some 80 kilometers out of Hughenden, darkness approaching with a blown out tyre, subsequently missed the presentations by having to go early Sunday to follow someone else to get home before dark with no spare tyre. Ha, ha, gotcha Lyn, couldn t resist, it is a very nice photo but I m the one smiling cos I managed to fill half a page out of it! *Perused and approved by the lovely Miss Lyn
