1 Spring Recreation Activities April, May, June 2019 Partners N Pals 2019 Lots of changes this year! The Arc of Tri-Cities provides a local summer day camp for all kids, with a primary focus on kids with a disability. This is an opportunity for children with, and without, disabilities to interact and share their love of summer fun. Partners N Pals also provides door-to-door transportation to, and from, the camp for campers who qualify for Ben Franklin Transits para-transit services (separate application required). Campers who do not qualify for door-to-door transportation can be dropped off, and picked up, at the camp site. Ages: 8 to 21 years old *Limited openings for 7 yr. olds - transportation to and from the camp not available When: Children may sign up for one or multiple weeks. NEW Time -- 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Dates: Week 1 - Wed, June 19 - Fri, June 21 (3-day week) Week 2 - Mon, June 24 - Fri, July 28 Week 3 - Mon, July 1 - Wed, July 3 (3-day week) Week 4 - Mon, July 8 - Fri, July 12 Week 5 - Mon, July 15 - Fri, July 19 Week 6 - Mon, July 22 - Fri, July 26 Week 7 - Mon, July 29 - Fri, Aug, 2 Week 8 - Mon, Aug 5 - Fri, Aug 9 Week 9 - Mon, Aug 12 - Fri, Aug 16 Applications are available online ( Cost: The Arc of Tri-Cities is a membershipbased organization. There is a $60.00 (annual) fee to become an official Arc member and register for camp. Arc members can register for camp at discounted prices listed below: $60 Membership Registration Fee $ per week for group level support (discounted) $ per week for group level support $350 for intense supervision per week (discounted) $ for intense supervision per week 3-day week prices are reduced. See application for details. Cost of one-on-one service varies, based on individual needs of the camper.

OUR Life s a Highway Themed Prom was held on Saturday, February 23rd at The Red Lion at Columbia Center!!! The music provided by Dan Niebuhr with All Star is still being talked about, the delicious food provided by Kadlec is still remembered, but the best part of The Prom was the friendship we shared. 4 Special Thanks to Benton and Franklin Counties How to participate in Special Olympics Sports 1: Make sure you have a current Athlete Participation form on file with The Arc of Tri-Cities-Special Olympic office 2: Come to your sports kick-off night or info meeting to register for the sport and to find out when and where practices are held. 3: To compete at regionals and state competitions you have to attend at least 8 practices. Fall State Games for Special Olympics are coming to the Tri-Cities! November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th Do you belong to a club, organization, or company that would like to help? Young Athletes Young Athletes is a free program for children ages 2 to 7 years old with and without intellectual or developmental disabilities. The 8-week program is designed to improve gross motor skills with a goal of providing children with a fun, safe place to develop physical skills and be a part of an inclusive community at a young age.
