1 BRYANT DAILY NEWS BULLETIN #35 November 4, 2015 B Day HELP BRYANT KEEP THE TROPHY! The ACADEMIC GAMES team will have an informal meeting on Wednesday, November 11th in Room 31 from 3:00 to 4:00. The team will begin practicing on Thursday, NOVEMBER 12th in Room 31. If you are interested in helping to keep the trophy where it belongs join us on November 11th to learn more about the game, the team, and to gain added skills in math while having fun with your friends. All students welcome. Mr. Brown High School "Test Out" Forms are available in the Counseling Office. Students are able to "test out" of any high school level course. The Deadline to turn in the application to Mr. Renko is Thursday, Jan. 14, The Bryant PTA is a participant in the national PTA program, Reflections. Why? It encourages creativity and lifelong learning while offering recognition for artistic endeavors. The PTA Reflections Program is designed to enhance quality arts education for students in preschool through grade 12. The PTA Reflections theme for has been announced: Let Your Imagination Fly Students may begin brainstorming their creative projects to get a head start on Reflections. Mrs. Greimel is the Reflections chair for Bryant this year and will be providing information about the formats, deadlines and entry forms. Picture retake day is Thursday November 5. Retake sessions will begin at 1:00 and end by 2:55. Any students wishing to have their picture retaken MUST have their original picture packet. If a student missed the original picture day, they will need to have a completed order form with payment to leave class. Students will be called down to the auditorium by grade, and returned to class as soon as they have finished. GROUP PICTURE DAY WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18 TH BETWEEN 8:15 AND 11:00 A.M. PARENTS: OK2SAY Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative On November 30, 2015, we will be hosting an OK2SAY Michigan Cyber Safety assembly at Bryant. The assemblies will be grade level and follow the schedule below. The program was created by the State Attorney General's office. Parents are welcome to attend the assemblies at the times listed below: Assembly Schedule: 9:15-10:15 8th grade students and teachers 11:30-12:30 6th grade students and teachers 12:55-1:55 7th grade students and teachers NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTION CEREMONY: The NJHS induction ceremony will be held in the Bryant Auditorium on Tuesday, November 10 th at 6:30 p.m. Ms. Traylor Girl's swimming tryouts begin on Monday, November 16th from 3-5:00 p.m. 8th grade boys basketball tryouts begin on Monday, November 16th from 3-5:30 p.m. 7th grade boys basketball tryouts begin on Tuesday, November 17th from 3-5:30 p.m. Please note the date and time changes for basketball tryouts. You need a physical to try-out. Get your physical NOW so you don't miss a tryout day. If you have already turned one in for football or girls basketball you are all set.

2 Parents: Please remember if your student is receiving free or reduced lunch, you must fill out a new form for this school year. Some of the students have become ineligible for this program due to not having turned in a new form. Please have the student stop by the main office and pick up a new form. Thank you Dentists R Us will be here on Monday, November 9 th. Permission slips are attached to this bulletin and will be distributed on Wednesday during advisory.
