4 Important Information Beauty Pageant: Registration will be Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Parents and or stylist allowed to stay only to assist with hair and make-up, then they must leave. Interviews will begin at 11:30 A.M. (Do not be frightened by interview, questions will come from your entry form.) We will have a light lunch and rehearsal for the opening number immediately after. (This is closed to everyone except staff and contestants) No Exceptions! Note all girls will vote for Miss Congeniality so mingle and make your choice. Dress required for opening number will be Black Leotard and tights. We will provide green cumber bun, bow tie and top hat. The opening number music will be City Lights. You will also need the inexpensive tennis painted shiny green. Call if questions. You will not be scored on opening number. Parents / Stylists will be allowed to return at 4:30 P.M. to prepare contestants for the opening number and competition. Contestants MUST stay back stage. Do not go into the audience. Doors open at 6:00 and competition will begin immediately following the opening number performance. The ladies will compete in Swimsuit and then in Evening Gown. We will have entertainment for the dressing time and for the break for auditor and judges. All winners are required to stay for individual and group photos for the newspaper and official Winner s Circle website. We may also take family photos with queens. All Beauty Pageant Queens MUST return Sunday for the Baby Contest. This will be your first official appearance. Queens will perform Opening Number for Baby Contest on Sunday; therefore they will need the opening number outfit, gown, crown and banner. They will also help crown the winners of the Baby Contest. Important Information Beauty Pageant: We will have a Videographer on site and will sell Pageant videos for $25.00; Your Interview can be added for an additional $ This is a fantastic learning tool regardless of how you place in the pageant. Please complete your order form an attaché you check immediately, payable to Winner s Circle Productions (separate check from entry, ads, and deposit) There will also be a professional photographer available. Price list will be forwarded once your entry form and deposit is received Mail your entry form, photo for program book and deposit of $25.00 immediately then work on your ads. This will help give us an approximate number of contestants. Special numbers may be requested but can not be guaranteed. Once you have sold the ads and added the additional photo fees, you can call me to get the exact amount due to complete registration. If you sell more than 4 pages you could be eligible to be the CENTERFOLD. Please submit 4 5 additional photos with your name on back with a sticky note. This will eliminate pen marks damaging the photos, in case you are the winner. 7 Age Divisions: Beauty Pageant: 9-11 yrs., yrs., yrs., yrs., 25 yrs.+, Mrs., Woman (Size 14 & up) Baby Contest: 0-11 mos., mos., 2 yrs., 3 yrs., 4-5 yrs., 6-8 yrs. (Boys will be accepted in Baby Contest with 3 in age division) Deadlines are VERY IMPORTANT and necessary to allow us to provide you with a quality pageant, and lovely prizes. Entering by deadline saves you money and helps us to provide you with awesome prizes and avoids combining or canceling groups and possibly the rescheduling of the entire pageant. Competition is vital so enter by deadline to be sure you have your competition. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AND MEET ALL DEADLINES!!!!! We will have a program book. You can sell ads to offset your entry fees. All contestants must submit a headshot photo for the program book; no larger than 5X7 color or black & white. If you wish to have your photo in your ad (1/4 page or larger) there will be an additional $10.00 processing fee (does not count toward credit) Contestant selling the most ads will be the centerfold and receive a beautiful white topaz necklace as well as $ cash on stage. 4 or more pages qualify you to be eligible for Centerfold. If you qualify; be sure to submit extra photos with your name on back with post-it note to avoid impression in photo. All photos will be returned at the pageant. PROGRAM BOOKS WILL BE SOLD FOR $6.00 EACH AT THE DOOR. If you are aware of multiple persons wanting to purchase books please advise us when mailing in ads so we can be well stocked. 8 Miss Louisiana Plus America 2008 Pageant Hello! My name is Debra Balsamo and I am the Louisiana State director for the national Miss Plus America Pageant. The Louisiana State Pageant will be held at the Landmark Hotel, in Metairie on May 18, The Miss Plus America Pageant is in its fourth year and has delegates participating from all over the nation. All of our delegates are sizes 14 and up. The National pageant has been featured most recently on Entertainment Tonight and on The Insider as well as a segment of a documentary on WE Women s Entertainment in 2005! We are asking local businesses to be a part of our event as corporate sponsors for this unique pageant system that encourages and endorses community service. As a corporate sponsor, you will receive the following: A link from our website to yours. The link will be on both our links page and our Official Sponsor page. (A $120 Value!) A full page ad in our program book (a $300 Value!) which the delegates will take home with them as well as be mailed all over the country in media kits to television affiliates and promotional campaigns in an effort to spread awareness of our event. A flyer for your company will be printed and placed in each delegate s packet so that friends and family members can send them a wonderful surprise during the pageant as encouragement or congratulations. This was a big hit last year and we would like to do so again. Mention on stage at each event: Orientation, Optionals Competition and Finals. Mention as a corporate sponsor on our national DVD. In return, we ask that your company provide: 1 Generous Gift Certificate for each of our 5 (five) age winners. Some small memorabilia or token from your company.

Our pageant is a new concept and we are getting tons of publicity, which increases every day.
