3 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE We ve had a nice warm September. Hopefully this warm weather will continue into October with just some color change on the trees. It would be nice but I am not holding my breath. Consequently more of our indoor events are starting to happen. Every Sunday we have Wallyball at the Warren Racquetball Center in Warren. It will continue all the way to Spring. On the 3rd Sharon Rose is hosting a Euchre Party at her house. All ability levels are welcome especially since it is set up as a fun event and not as a tournament. Golfing and biking will still be going on in October with a golf outing on Saturday the 3rd at the Black Heath Golf Course in Rochester, and a bike ride on Sunday the 4th. On the 9th we are going to a nice Irish Pub called Dooley s in Sterling Heights. During this month line dance lessons will be offered, please contact Meg Baker if you are interested. From the 16th to the 18th the club will be offering our annual Bald Mountain Outing. This has always been a popular event where you can come up for one day or stay for the weekend or just overnight at the rustic cabins. Later in the month we are going to Romeo to visit Tillson Street which is a couple blocks of neighbors who decided to go all out having scary decorations. It always draws big crowds during the Halloween time of the year. Weather permitting we will have a bike ride before the tour. At the end of October we are having a Halloween Party at the Club Venetian. It will be only $15. Please contact Tom Scott if you are interested. More dances and parties will be offered in November. For those that like to procrastinate we have extended the club renewal date to October 13th (date of Board Meeting). Enjoy a beautiful Autumn, Stan Sawicki, President GM Ski Club With sadness we are announcing the passing away of Diane Reaser, who was a long time member of the GM Ski Club. She was a very active and involved member of the group, and a person who easily made many friends. Also our hearts go out to her husband Alan Toomey, another longtime GM Member.
