7 Volume 95, Issue 2 Senior Regent Did you make a New Year s resolution this year? I hope you haven t broken it yet. Congratulations to Joyce Aniballi. She was the winner of the Harry Potter collection. The meeting held on January 8th was the Educational Advancement chapter night. Eva Montgomery, chairman, presented a check in the amount of $50 to go towards the committee s project for the month which was the Physical & Occupational Therapy at Mooseheart. The co-workers in attendance voted on 15 new applications for membership. In attendance was new member, Linda Hoyt, who was given her membership pin. Keep an eye out for the Valentine s Day raffle. Joyce Aniballi will be putting together a holiday arrangement that will contain money and scratch off lottery tickets. This will be raffled off on Monday, February 11th at the prime rib dinner. The Chapter will be honoring Junior Graduate Regent, Joyce Aniballi, at a special meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 5th. Joyce received her Green Cap at the annual conference held in Decatur last August. This is the first step towards receiving her College of Regents degree. The meeting will begin at 6:30pm followed by a light lunch. All Co-workers and Loyal Order of Moose are invited to attend. Save the date: March 16th is the St. Patrick s Day corned beef and cabbage dinner. Moose International has begun the no application fee membership campaign that will run through April 30, Any new member sponsored will only have to pay the annual dues of $25, a savings of $23. This is a great time for relatives, friends and co-workers to become a member of the Women of the Moose. The new member quota for the chapter, which was attained in January, is 63. We have three months left to the chapter year. Please remember that even though we are enrolling new members, we also need to keep the ones we have. Check your membership card to be sure you are current with your dues. Nominating committee meetings will begin in February. Anyone interested in becoming an officer must submit their name and the office to be considered for to a member of the committee or a current member of the board of officers. Elections will be held at the March 26th meeting and the installation of officers and chairmen on April 27th. If anyone has any ideas for fundraisers that the Women of the Moose can do, please give your suggestions to one of the chapter s officers or drop a note in the W.O.T.M. mailbox which is located by the lodge secretary s office. 8 100th Anniversary of Mooseheart Do you believe in Santa? We do! Santa sent one of his helpers by the name of Rich Penza to our Lodge and Rich dropped off a 2012 Collectors Edition Fat Tire Beer Bicycle for The Mooseheart Challenge Committee to raffle off later this year. This is a valuable Felt Brand Bicycle and the New Belgium Brewery in Colorado only has 500 to 800 of these bicycles made every year. They are dated and numbered and every year they have a different style and color scheme and you cannot buy these bicycles in the store. We Thank You Rich. The raffle of this bike will help us to reach our goal of $ and if we can reach our goal we will get a classroom named after The Mooseheart Challenge and The Woodstock Moose Lodge. The committee is already looking at emblems, sponsor shirts, polo shirts, fundraising ideas etc. etc. etc. But the biggest fundraiser we have is the 45 mile bicycle ride, the 5K Walk and the just added a 25 mile bicycle ride (this is to attract more riders). Last year we had 18 riders and 24 walkers, and these volunteers raised many Thousands Of Dollars thru pledges. We Need Your Help and your ideas. We Need More Riders and Walkers to achieve this great honor for our Lodge. Spread The Word to fellow members and friends, family and neighbors. Watch for more details in your Moose Call and postings at the Lodge. God Bless Mooseheart.
