Harbor Drive San Diego, CA (619) LEVEL: 3rd Floor near Plaza Terrace ATTENDEE REGISTRATION OPENS THURSDAY, JULY 26TH: 12:30PM 3rd Floor Please check-in at the Dance Teacher Summit registration desk in the San Diego Convention Center on the 3rd Floor to receive your ID badge, final schedule, Band App Info, Digital Summit Guide, and Goody Bag. Early registration on the 3rd Floor will be open to attendees on Thursday, July 26th from 12:30PM 7:30PM. Anyone that is a studio owner, studio director, or office manager and attending the Business Boost at 1:30PM will want to register at this time. The registration desk on the 3rd Floor of the San Diego Convention will be open for the duration of the event. ATTENDEE SCHEDULE Enclosed is the attendee schedule. Please note that it is subject to change. If changes occur there will be a posting of the changes at the registration desk on the 3rd Floor of the San Diego Convention Center. 7 AMBASSADORS We have enlisted the help of some of your fellow dance teachers to help make this event the best it can be. These teachers will be on-site to help you with any questions you may have and will also be gathering feedback from you on how to make the Summit better next year! The Summit Ambassadors can be identified by their custom red jackets. Don t forget to check out the Ambassador Booth on the 3rd Floor of the San Diego Convention Center. If you are looking for some direct guidance on specific topics stop by and chat with some of these seasoned veterans in the dance studio industry! DTS MERCHANDISE OPENS THURSDAY, JULY 26TH: 12:30PM 3rd Floor For the second year, Dance Teacher Summit will have merchandise! The Merchandise Booth will be located on the 3rd Floor of the San Diego Convention Center next to registration. We will be selling Dance Teacher Summit 2018 merchandise including a tank top and a long sleeve shirt, as well as some various items from 2017 such as our track jackets, t-shirts, and headbands. Be sure to check out all our new and vintage items! Please note that it will be cash only, and items go fast! WHAT TO BRING For your comfort and safety, we recommend dancewear or loose-fitting clothes for most sessions. Although some rooms will have dance floors, you may be dancing on carpet. Please bring appropriate footwear and wear layers as the convention center may be cold. Water will be provided in each room, but feel free to bring your own as well. You may also want to bring plenty of business cards with you for networking purposes and to enter raffles. The dress for the Cocktail Party is casual.

Please be sure to visit the exhibitors and see the latest in dance apparel, costumes, shoes, music, videos, accessories, flooring, backdrops, insurance, travel and much more! Most exhibitors will have Summit specials, free giveaways and special raffles throughout the Summit. For your convenience, we recommend packing an extra bag for transporting your new purchases and free gifts home! There will be special teacher-only times in the Beat Street Expo Hall throughout the weekend. From staffing to marketing, finance and retention, this session is great for the new or veteran dance business person! During lunch hour, BAND Brand Ambassadors, DTS Ambassadors and DTS Attendees will be doing a focus group on the BAND APP and how you can use it to communicate with your own dancers, parents and staff. Join us on Sunday, July 29th at 4:30PM, in Room 28B-D on the 3rd Floor of the San Diego Convention Center for an unprecedented event as dance luminaries share their opinion on the State of Dance in Hear from a panel of choreographers, teachers, industry professionals and dancers as they discuss where they think dance is going in the coming years. Panel will include Denise Wall, Kim Delgrosso, Ashly Costa, Karen Hildebrand, Robert Hartwell and other special guests. It is sure to be an enlightening event you won t want to miss! 10 LUNCH There are plenty of food options in the convention center and across the street! Restaurants within walking distance include Blind Burro, Basic Bar Pizza, Double Standard Kitchenetta, Meze Greek Fusion, Union Kitchen + Tap and more! Keep in mind that Dancerpalooza will be going on simultaneously at the Convention Center which could cause long lines during lunch/dinner time. Please plan accordingly and order food or make reservations in advance to avoid wait time & make the most of your relaxation time. SUMMIT VIRTUAL PASS Ever been to a teacher s workshop and felt like there was so much to do but you couldn t do it all? Or have you been frustrated that two of your favorite classes were going on at the same time and you had to choose? The Dance Teacher Summit has solved this problem with the Summit Virtual Pass! After the event, by September 30th via , each full attendee will receive online access which will include footage of most dance classes and seminars held at the Summit!
