1 20 April 2010 This week is a home game for TEM with many teams playing on H1 and H2 over the weekend. The Under 15A team is organising the first Friday night junior barbecue. Please drop into the clubrooms and support the club in this event. It not only raises most needed funds but also provides a social environment to meet other parents of TEM junior hockey players. The meal has to be the best value meal in town, at only $8 for meat, salad, potato and bread roll. Round 2 Home Round Madness 12-5pm Ten of the men and women s senior teams are playing throughout Saturday April 24 th from 12.30pm so stick around and support the club for the first home games of the year and celebrate the new season with pride and enjoy the great food. State League women play at 2.00pm and SL men play at 3.30pm on H1. The Social committee has organized the following during the day. - Gyros lamb and salad $5 roll or $10 a plate with potato and salad. tzatziki and sauce. Home Round Raffle $2/ticket or 3 for $5 Hoodies and Spray Jackets TEM Hoodies and spray jackets are on sale at the clubrooms on Friday night and all afternoon Saturday. A wide range of sizes are available from kids size 4 to XXL. UNDER 18 s Alice Tulloch and Erin Lardner are both currently away with the U/18 state girls team, we wish them all the best! Four TEM players have just returned from the U18 Men s tournament. Chris Eaton was one of the leading forwards, Elliott Matthews had a great tournament in goal, Adam Seccull for the second year in a row finished the National Championship as the leading goal scorer in the competition and Jake Sherren was rewarded after 9 great games with selection in the 26 man Australian U17 squad. JUNIOR SECTION Junior results and this week s fixtures can be found by going to 8&client= &type=club Due to the Public holiday on Monday 26 April there will not be any training for the Under 13 teams (girls and boys). Training will resume on Monday 4 May. CENTRAL FLAMES REGISTRATION Registration has opened for our regional team the Central Flames. There is only two weeks to go before the first trial on 2 May with nominations closing early next week. All interested U13 and U15 players are encouraged to nominate. The zone has received over 60 nominations so far from member clubs Hawthorn, MCC, Powerhouse/St Kilda and TEM. U17 players can nominate now, but they will also be able to do this in the weeks before the U17 championships take place in October. All nominations and payments are being processed online, go to and click on events, then JSC All trainings will be held on Sunday mornings at MCC for 1.5 hrs until the start of the junior state championships on 28 June. Central Zone is in the process of ing all players who have already nominated with information about the trials and training times and venues.
