Social media is the place to share that great kick or encourage a team-mate. It is NOT the place to bully or post unkind messages about team-mates, other clubs or officials. Youth Girls Congratulations and well done Louise Stephenson for representing Victoria in the Under 18 s National Football Championships in Adelaide. Victoria went on to win and Louise was named in the all Australian side. Also congratulations to Louise Stephenson, Becky Hunter and Melissa Prideaux for being chosen to represent the Yarra League during the Interleague matches. On behalf of the club well done girls and enjoy the experience.

5 Page 5 27 May 2012 St Damians Junior Football Club has been nominated to participate in the Carlton Football Club Jumpers 4 Juniors program. This initiative was established as a means of providing support to Junior Football Clubs through the provision of an exclusive signed lithogram jumper to be used as your club pleases whether through an auction, charity function, fundraiser or on display. * This offer is restricted to one jumper per Junior Football Club. To ensure your club receives a signed jumper: 1. Please go to and follow the instructions provided. 2. Distribute and promote the above link to everyone associated with your club, encouraging them to complete the simple 1 minute online Personal Registration form. Registrations are open to everyone associated with your Junior Football Club (i.e. players, parents, coaches, support staff, supporters, etc.) 3. Once your club has completed at least 30 unique Personal Registration forms, an exclusive signed lithogram jumper will be posted to your nominated club address. (please allow 4-6 weeks upon completion for your jumper to be processed and posted) 4. All participants who complete the Personal Registration form will be eligible to win a range of Carlton Football Club prizes. 6 Page 6 27 May 2012 The Wally Tyrrell Medal Night for the U/15's and Colts The Wally Tyrrell Night will be held at Ferraro Receptions Onslow Avenue, Campbellfield on Friday 14 September 2012 from 6.30 pm The night will be filled with live entertainment, special guests, MC as well as the presentation of The Wally Tyrrell Medal and Best and Fairest awards for the Under 15's and Colts for the year PLAYER MILESTONES Renée Smith 50 Games Youth Girls What a privilege it is for me to write up Renée s 50th Game milestone report. Renée was a founding member of the Youth Girls team and the catalyst for its formation. From day one her experience gained playing with the boys shone through. Her movement on the ground is sheer poetry. Her ability to read the play and the ball are to be believed, these skills alone should be envied by all of our club s players. In every game she plays in, her contribution is massive. Using pure skill she can out-manoeuvre and out-tackle anyone without the use of brute force, sheer magic!! Renée has also clocked up a huge amount of games with the club, both boys and girls. Today s game is her 162 nd!! She is likely to the one and only ever player to make 200 games for the club. Currently she is leading the YJFL Youth Girls competition goal kicking. First Game with the Youth Girls

Five boys down but a great show from all on the day. Great team effort Comments: Great team football. Every player did their job when they had to. We have been working on ball movement and it showed. Keep working hard guys and more wins will come our way. Under 12G lost to Ivanhoe B Coach: Pat Gullone Goals: James W 2, Joseph 1 Best Players: Midfielders for their second half effort Special Mention: Comments: We were blown away early with Ivanhoe kicking the first 11 goals. The second half we saw our boys play with more desperation and move the ball forward quicker. Well done boys on your second half. We need to start games better. The ground was our battlefield and we won the battle. Fantastic game boys let really kick off this season. Under 15R won against Heidelberg Coach: Daniel Galileos Goals: Vinny 3, Matt M 1, Patto 1, Kane 1, Taz 1 Best Players: Whole team! Special Mention: Welcome back to the Club, Samuel Dickson and Matthew Vakanis Comments: What a game. Started off really well, talk was there and everyone was doing the team thing. The boys were down by two goals at three quarter time and I gave them a challenge and they responded and fought out a tough win. I m very proud. Special Mention: Thanks to Taha Hojok from the Under 15 s Comments: Credit to the boys in sticking to our game structures. Once again we let compliancy set in and an area we need to address. Many thanks to the boys who played today that were ill and who carried injuries. Played well in patches, but we have a lot to work on. We will get there. Center men won every center clearance giving our forwards first use. They played on quick, tackled hard and kept the ball in front. Classy victory which we will build on.
