1 JUNE/JULY Newsletter A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT Welcome back to the last few weeks of the winter season The time has certainly flown by since way back in February when the season commenced. It's been a great year for RNC and the club continues to flourish on and off the court. Wins and losses generally get referred to when measuring successes, however the bigger picture for RNC is our level of participation and overall stability. We are very strong in both of these areas. In terms of results, we have 22 teams that enter the last two weeks of the season with a realistic chance of playing finals. This is a great achievement for these teams and we wish you all the best for the coming weeks. We have already had one grand final success - our A Reserve team recently won the premiership in their Tuesday night competition. Congratulations girls and Coach Grant Atkinson. We also take this opportunity to say a big thank you to the teams that will finish their seasons over the next few weeks. Whilst results may not have gone as planned, they can be proud of their efforts and we look forward to seeing you all back on the court for the Spring Season. Our Net Set Go and under 11 teams who don t play finals will also finish their season on 22 July. We look forward to celebrating their great season of netball at the TunzaFun Knox presentation function on Sunday 23 July. Don t forget to book your spot for this new presentation function for RNC. Hoodies it s now only a matter of days before we hit the courts with our brand new hoodies. Thank you Emma Alipan for the great work you have done taking orders and dealing with the supplier. Team Photos - proofs have been received and we will be handing out the photos at our presentation functions over the coming weeks. The club has had a number of very successfully fundraising activities this year and we thank all families for your contributions. The chocolate drive and FTG raffle have both been very successful and our trivia night has quickly become a real highlight for the club. We are still following up a few boxes of chocolate and raffle tickets so if you do have these please return ASAP. All funds received from these activities will continue to be used to subsidise presentation functions and to keep playing fees as low as possible. In addition, there are some exciting things planned over coming months! Stay tuned! We continue to look for way to keep improving and evolving so please feel free to reach out to me or any member of the committee if you have suggestions / ideas. Thanks for your ongoing support. Junior Presentation: For all Net Set Go and U/11 Players Date: Sunday 23 rd July 2017 Time: 4:45pm to 7pm Where: TunzaFun Xtreme Westfield Knox 2205b / 425 Burwood Hwy Wantirna South What s supplied: Finger food; party pies, sausage rolls, wedges and drinks. This year the players also get to have fun on the TunzaFun Xtreme attractions Cost: The club has subsidised this event. The cost will be only $10 per player. Parents and siblings CAN NOT buy tickets through the online ticket sales. Attraction tickets can be bought for siblings at the venue for full price. Click HERE to buy your ticket now! Our new hoodies are not a compulsory item, but we will look amazing if all our players are wearing them! Uniform Reminder: A friendly reminder to all players that training tops must be worn on game day and at training. We want to be looking united, please make sure you are wearing your Rowville Training Tops.

These were just a few things we heard at the RNC Photo Night!! What a fun filled night!! A huge thank you to Lisa Roper for arranging the photo night. She works hard every year to make sure all the money is collected all the teams have a photo slot and everyone is there on time ready to go. Special thank you to the committee members that also helped on the night, whether it was cooking the BBQ, pre-ordering hoodies, assembling everyone for their photos we cannot function without a hard working committee. Thank you to parents for getting their girls to the photos on time. Photos should be ready to go by presentation night! How good were those free snags in bread? Thanks to Steve Edwards, Andre Roza and Sarah Smith who were our head chefs. We appreciate the donations of sausages from Stud Park Meats and the bread from Bakers Delight Wellington Village. Please support those who support us! RNC TRIVIA NIGHT WHAT A FANTASTIC SUCCESS! WOW! Our Trivia Night was unbelievable!! This year we were roaring and ready to go! After some fantastic advertisement we almost doubled the number of attendees from last year. A massive night!! A massive thank you to Kim Holland and Nicola Parker for organising absolutely everything! We managed to raise $3,390 for the night! Which will go towards trophies and prizes for our upcoming presentation nights! Our winners, for the second-year running was legs11 organised by the Roza family. Very smart cookies!

After working hard all season these girls were able to come away with the 2017 Monday Night Autumn Premiership at Waverley Netball Centre. These girls are amongst some of the best players we have at the club! Not only are they all committed players, they love the game and they love the club! The club thanks you all for your commitment, dedication and hard work you each put in throughout the year! WELL DONE GRANT! Grant has coached these girls for about 5 years now! He works hard to keep the team united and the respect that Grant has earned off these girls is something all coaches should aspire towards.
