1 School Games Mark Gold Level Evidence Langrish School provides every pupil with 2 hours of timetabled PE per week. This is led by class teachers with the addition of specialist coaching opportunities throughout the year. The curriculum is carefully planned to ensure a progression of skills across the sports. The children are reminded of the Spirit of the Games Values and these themselves are included in our PSHE curriculum together with assemblies about famous sports people as role models. Our Level 1 recognition for RRSA underpins our sporting values as everyone has the right to a healthy lifestyle and nutritious food. House competitions allow the children to compete across KS2 and these are organised in netball, football, tag rugby and swimming. The school sports day is also organised in house colours and this includes KS1 and FS. Each curriculum PE area is accompanied by a learning ladder which outlines the skills progression across the weeks. These allow the learning to be shared at the start of every session and for the children to successfully self assess at the end of a session and set themselves goals for the next lesson. In this way, every lesson is accessible to all and fully inclusive. Adaptations are made to make challenges easier or more demanding, depending upon the ability of the children. Specialist equipment is used for those with SEND and meetings are held with the Hampshire Specialist Advisor for one particular pupil with SEND.

(70%). All children including the non-active are involved in the weekly Golden Mile. In addition, twelve children have trained as Play Leaders at Bohunt School. These children led an assembly to explain their role and now run daily activities for the younger children in the school to help to introduce them to competitive sport and to encourage them to develop their social skills as well as keeping fit. Five more members of Year 5 are training in July to increase the number of the volunteers. The Play leaders are also a valuable part of our Pupil Parliament and add their pupil voice to whole school issues. The Play Leaders are also in charge of their own budget and buy and appraise their own resources. The Play Leaders engage many members of the school in extra -curricular play and sport. Other Leadership Opportunities include: Umpiring / refereeing at Level 1 intra school competitions as part of lessons or as inter- House competitions Scoring and refereeing at Level 2 competitions held at Langrish School (rounders and football) Golden Mile setting up the course, encouraging all children to participate, entering results on the website Walk to School Week entering data on class pages and comparing results Writing reports on school events and sharing these on the website / noticeboard to encourage others to participate Leading teams by sharing captaincy and taking responsibility for playing schedules, timetables etc Liaising with Play Leader LSA to ensure resources are in place and fully accessible Currently, 20% of KS2 population are actively involved in leading, managing and officiating School Games Activities. (17 Play Leaders and 8 House Captains)
