As a National Member, you ll have the chance to play at Victoria, BC s Bear Mountain, featuring two of the Top 100 courses in Canada. The Bear Mountain Resort Community features the luxurious Westin with its world-class amenities. Our National Membership, for those living more than 100 km from Bear Mountain, also provides you with access to the Pacific Links network, which features many of the greatest courses in Canada, the U.S. and abroad. 3 ELIGIBILITY, FEES, RULES AND REGULATIONS (As of July 23, 2018) A National Membership is available, at the discretion of the Club, to an individual whose principal place of residence is located outside 100 km from the Club or located off Vancouver Island and the Gulf islands. A current applicant s driver s license will be required to verify the address. National Members must be a minimum of 19 years of age. The Initiation Fee and Dues for a National Membership (both Individual and Corporate) will be at rates established by Ecoasis. Individual memberships may be transferred to an immediate family member (meets the residence eligibility requirements above). Corporate designee memberships may be transferred to another designee (meets the residence eligibility requirements above) of the corporation. A National Membership will be automatically terminated if the Member fails to satisfy the residence eligibility requirements specified above and no fees or dues will be refundable. Times for priority bookings and blocks of Members-only tee times will be determined by Ecoasis; Use of all Club Facilities including Members-only areas; Use of day-only lockers (subject to availability); Complimentary access to the North Langford Recreation Center (NLRC) during visits. (There may be an additional fee for participation in NLRC programs); Upon the provision of an approved credit card for the Membership account, use of a Membership charge account. Ecoasis may implement a maximum level of available credit; Optional access to Member Hole in One insurance program and British Columbia Golf (Golf Canada) Association (BCGA) membership at BCGA members rates; Complimentary use of practice facilities; Complimentary use of rental clubs for National Members (reservation required at time of tee time booking); Access to the Club reciprocal and affiliate club relationships (see the next page); Club storage on a per visit basis (subject to availability of space); Member value-pricing offers and discounted rates for food and beverage purchases, Pro Shop products, and discounted green fees for guests as determined from time to time by Ecoasis. The invoice for food and beverage purchases, to qualify for a discount, must be charged to the members account. 4 INDIVIDUAL CLUB RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS (As of March 25, 2018) PROGRAM POLICIES Program is available to all Bear Mountain members whose principal place of residence is located outside 100 km from the Reciprocal Club OR located on Vancouver Island and the Gulf islands. Please remember when visiting a Reciprocal Club that you are representing Bear Mountain and agreements may be terminated by either club by giving 30 days notice. To ensure all members have the opportunity to enjoy these clubs, please limit your play on any Reciprocal Club to a maximum of three (3) times per year. To book rounds of golf at any of the clubs (opposite), please contact the Bear Mountain Pro Shop or Concierge. 6 PACIFIC LINKS GOLF NETWORK (PLGN) AFFILIATE MEMBERS ACCESS TO AFFILIATE & RECIPROCAL CLUBS (As of March 17, 2018) PRIVILEGES ACCORDED BEAR MOUNTAIN (THE CLUB) MEMBERS Qualified Members of THE CLUB will be Affiliate Members and will be accorded privileges during their visit to any of the Affiliate Clubs in the PLGN Network and be able to play golf without payment of a green or guest fee. Affiliate Members of THE CLUB will receive, subject to availability, golf privileges that include four (4) rounds of golf, per 30-day period, at those clubs designated as an Affiliate Club in the PLGN Network, at no green or guest fees for the visiting Member. Certain restrictions may apply at Affiliate Clubs from time to time. THE CLUB Members will also receive, subject to availability, golf privileges that include four (4) rounds of golf, per 30-day period, to all at those clubs designated as Reciprocal Access Clubs in the PLGN Network with payment of significantly discounted green fees. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Reciprocal Access Clubs that are part of the PGA TPC program and that are located in the United States have different play frequency restrictions depending on the location of the PLGN Network Club. These restrictions will be outlined on the PLI website. Affiliate Members of THE CLUB may introduce accompanied guests at clubs within the PLGN Network subject to the guest policies at each club and payment of the applicable guest fee. Affiliate Members of THE CLUB will receive unlimited social privileges on a space available basis at all PLGN Network clubs. Social privileges shall include access to dining, practice, and fitness facilities. Affiliate Members of THE CLUB will be afforded privileges in the latest Roster of Clubs and Resorts that will be published from time to time by PLI. THE CLUB Affiliate Members may be offered specially priced resort lodging packages from time to time, depending on availability of participating resorts, negotiated special packages, and current promotions. Affiliate Members of THE CLUB will receive a Pacific Links International Affiliate Club membership card issued by Pacific Links International. However, all participants must present a government issued picture identification to gain access to the PLGN Network clubs. All Affiliate Members will be responsible for paying for all other services such as guest fees, Food and Beverage, and merchandise at the time the charges are incurred. The roster of clubs within the PLGN Network will change from time to time as new clubs are added to the program and the roster will be developed without any minimum or maximum restrictions or representations on number, geography or type of club. The current list of clubs participating is available on the PLI website. Affiliate Members must use either a golf cart, and caddie if applicable, and will be responsible for payment of the applicable fees. Affiliate Members will be responsible for payment of any additional fees incurred for cart fees, individual consumption tax imposed by the government, golf guest fees for their guests, merchandise, Food and Beverage, and other goods and services. All charges are to be settled by cash or credit card that same day. Affiliate Members must make tee time reservations at least 14 days in advance through the PLI Links2Golf Call Center to ensure availability and receive appropriate privileges. International call-in numbers, , and online booking forms will be made available to the Links2Golf Call Center line with onward notification to the Affiliate Club. Affiliate Members will be expected to abide by the house rules and practices of the host Affiliate Club and may be denied privileges in the event that the Affiliate Member does not abide by such rules. Affiliate Members will be responsible for the conduct of their guests. Affiliate Member privileges are non-transferable, and may not be offered, assigned or in any way transferred to any other person. With prior notice, THE CLUB will reserve the right to limit or restrict Affiliate Member tee times based on special tournament play when periodically the entire golf course must be made available to others, or for closures due to maintenance or weather. THE CLUB agrees to provide this information, when possible, to the PLI Links2Golf Call Center in advance. THE CLUB will use its best efforts to inform PLI and of any course closures due to periodic maintenance and any unforeseen circumstances that affect the ability to play the golf course. Due to special tournament play or closures at other PLGN Network clubs, Pacific Links International makes no guarantees or representations to THE CLUB Affiliate Members regarding the availability of tee times at PLGN Network clubs. All tee times are provided on a space available basis only, first come-first serve. In the case where another Pacific Links Golf Network club or a Member s primary or secondary residence is located within 150 km of a Pacific Links Network Club, or in other special circumstances as determined from time to time, THE CLUB or PLI or the other Affiliate Club will restrict access to the Member at their discretion. In this event, PLI will be notified accordingly so it can manage the access restriction rules, and other Pacific Links Network Clubs will be notified by PLI of this restriction. Affiliate Member privileges are not available as part of a Group Booking. Group Bookings may be arranged by PLI Links2Golf Call Center who will then contact the PLGN Network club directly for approval and pricing of green fees that will be applicable to all players. A "Group Booking" is defined as nine (9) or more players in any single booking that requires more than two (2) tee times for an Affiliate Member or group of members. If a THE CLUB Affiliate Member exceeds four (4) rounds per Affiliate Club per 30 day period, each additional round if permitted will require the payment of a green fee or other fee as determined by the participating Affiliate Club, and such additional rounds will be granted on a space available basis.
