3 Overview Golf Show Summary In 2010, Varsity Communications, Inc. the largest producer of consumer golf expos west of the Mississippi River moved into the St. Louis market as the owner and operator of the St. Louis Golf Expo, significantly increasing the event s presence in the Midwest media landscape while forging strong partnerships for the future. Varsity created a venue in America s heartland for golf enthusiasts, manufacturers and professionals to come together and share their common passion for the great game of golf. That effort was again a success, as the 2015 St. Louis Golf Expo attracted more than 7,500 consumers of all backgrounds and abilities to the St. Louis Convention Center to interact with golf industry leaders, save big on equipment and services, take home fabulous prizes and giveaways, enjoy interactive exhibits and meet the organizations, businesses and individuals who administer the game. Attendees received up to 24 free rounds of golf part of a giveaway package valued at over $500 and enjoyed the season s best values on products and services, new club demos on a free driving range, free swing seminars from leading PGA pros, on-site health consultations, special appearances by the St. Louis Rams cheerleaders, and much more. A widespread media campaign promoted the 2015 show. With media partners in print, television, Internet and radio, the promotion of the event covered all mediums and included appearances and interviews by show organizers. The 2015 St. Louis Golf Expo was made possible by the support of its sponsors, the volunteers who gave their time to the event, the involvement of the exhibitors and the interest and enthusiasm of the golfing public. Napleton Putting Challenge Powered by Greenside Lawn Care Sink a putt to win rounds of golf and be entered into Sunday s Napleton Putting Championship. Those who sank a putt gained free admission to the show on Sunday where they could compete at 3:00 p.m. for the Grand Prize! Visit Mississippi & Oak Terrace Short Game Central Powered by Greenside Lawn Care Use your short game to chip to win great prizes at the Short Game Central sponsored by Mississippi Tourism. Bridgestone The Official Ball Of The Golf Show Bridgestone Golf had a major presence on the show floor not only in the free golf balls given to the first 250 golfers in the door each day, but also in the golf show s Testing and Fitting Zone an indoor driving range built right on the show floor where specially trained reps will conduct custom ball fittings throughout the weekend.
