3 Overview Almost exactly 20 years after helping co-found the Seattle Golf Show alongside the Pacific Northwest Golf Association, Lynnwood-based event producers Varsity Communications producers of popular golf shows throughout the United States purchased their hometown show in 2017, bringing their tried-and- true formula of outstanding deals, free giveaways, free lessons, fun interactive events and quality exhibitors to Seattle s vibrant golf community. Already well-known in the Seattle market as producers of Cascade Golfer magazine Western Washington s largest golf magazine, mailed quarterly to more than 90,000 readers and the Cascade Golfer Cup tournament series, as well as popular events like the Taste Washington wine-tasting festival, Seattle Dog Show and PROOF Washington Distillers Festival Varsity was uniquely positioned to assume direction of the golf show, which has grown over the past two decades into one of the nation s largest and best-attended consumer golf expos. Following months of marketing that included advertisements in print, television and radio, on-site broadcasts during the most popular morning news programs, live remotes from the show floor, plus televised appearances and interviews by show organizers and select participating vendors not to mention a significant grass-roots campaign including blasts, posters and social media campaigns more than 10,000 golfers packed into the hall over the two-day weekend for the 2018 Seattle Golf Show, eager to take advantage of special offers on local golf courses, products and services from over 110 exhibitors; fun skills contests that gave attendees the chance to win clubs, free rounds and dream stay-and-play vacations; free lessons from top PGA pros; a driving range lined with representatives of all the major manufacturers; and a fantastic giveaway package for all attendees that included multiple rounds of golf. With the first year under its belt, Varsity looks to continue growing its hometown show in 2019 and beyond. Kids and Family Day on Saturday! We had a fun day in store for kids at the show on Saturday. Kids activities were featured throughout the show, where they could learn how to improve their golf game, hear from professionals and compete for prizes! Also, all kids received a Passport Card to play interactive games for free and were eligible to win prizes!
