3 We would like to welcome our new members! Individual Regular Golf: Eric & Julie Londeen Membership Director Fall has arrived! We have had some beautiful weather and it has been great to see our Members out on the course enjoying it. Speaking of golf, a big congrats to the MCC team on winning the Kansas Cup! The win brings great exposure to our outstanding establishment, thanks to all whom participated. Looking ahead this month, the social committee has planned fun activities for our Members. Mark your calendars for the Toga Party on October 18 th. We will be having a 5 th Thursday Halloween dinner buffet, spooky hayrack ride and a haunted house. There will also be games and crafts for the kids. Since Halloween falls on a Friday we will be having a costume contest at FAC and we will award prizes to the best costumes! There are also many great golf events scheduled, be sure to check with the Pro-Shop to get signed up! I am enjoying getting to know each of our Members and contributing to the well-being of MCC. 9 A Letter from Our Assistant Golf Professional Manhattan Country Club Members, In my first 3 months at Manhattan Country Club the weather and the golf could not have been any better. The course is in outstanding shape and I could not have asked for a better welcoming into the Club, so I personally thank all of you! Another big congratulation goes out the Manhattan Country Club Kansas Cup team! What a huge accomplishment this is for our club. It was an absolute blast and the club as a whole should be proud of itself for having such a great group of golfers. Congrats again, everyone! This time of year is an unbelievable time to play golf. Only a couple more events for our members remain so let s get out there and play some golf! Ladies Autumn Madness is October 1 st, and Mark s Revenge is on October 5 th. Both look to be really fun events! Keep hitting them straight, and Go Royals! With the drop in temps we have finished our fall aerification and seeding program. Fall fertilization is scheduled to be completed in the next few days. The good weather has been very advantageous for our fall cultural practices. With our overseeding program, we have paid special attention to the weaker areas in the fairways in a conscious effort to help maintain the best possible playing conditions. With the lower temperatures at night, please keep in mind that frost conditions will be fast approaching and we appreciate your patience during those times. Going into October, trees will begin shedding their leaves and we will do our best to maintain the golf course in a playable condition. Fall is a wonderful time so get out and enjoy this beautiful weather!! Please remember that Marks Revenge Tournament is scheduled for October 5 th.
