We are happy to help you celebrate the holidays with your family. We love watching you make memories at Manhattan Country Club. Remember, our Santa Brunch is Sunday, December 15 th. The kids can take pictures with Santa before or after dinner. We also have dates available for your Holiday Office Party. 11 A Note from Our Golf Pro I want to take this time to personally thank all the people that have been a member at Manhattan Country Club since I have enjoyed my time here and have experienced great memories with many of you. Providing a good golfing experience for you was a goal of mine every day whether you were playing a quick 9 holes, playing in the Member-Guest tournament, or out with your friends or family for a fun round of golf I always wanted you to enjoy your time at MCC. Golf is a lifelong sport and the values in a golfer are one that I admire, that is why I have always had a passion for golf. I ve had the pleasure of teaching the sport to many men, women and children. Golf is incredible to many, but is frustrating at times. The improvement I ve seen in scores and attitude on the course has been very rewarding as an instructor. Especially watching kids learn to love the game and then to see them compete as teenagers or an adult has been fun to follow. My wife, Tonya, and I thank you for welcoming our kids, Michelle, David, and Scott as they themselves learned how to play golf here at Manhattan Country Club. Michelle was just 2 years old and our twin boys were not born yet when Tonya and I first came. Many of you have encouraged them as they have developed into golfers and have grown up. Michelle is now 20 and David & Scott are 17 so thank you MCC for being our 2 nd family. Lastly, I can t say enough how much I have appreciated the support and friendship now and over the years. My work as the Head Golf Professional at Manhattan Country Club for nearly 18 years will stay with me forever. I wish you all the best and I look forward to keeping in touch with you. We continue to stay busy, mulching leaves and raking pine needles. Later this month, we will clear brush around various areas, as well as cut down and remove dead pine trees.

13 Golf & Course News The practice net will be available on the West patio until Spring, weather permitting. Read the Greens As the cold temperatures have arrived, mowing has become few and far between. The greens will continue to get rolled until the ground freezes. We continue to stay busy, mulching leaves and raking pine needles. We have some fun themed nights planned in December. We gather in Club XIX from 5 to 7 every Wednesday. It s very informal, come when you can, for as long as your schedule allows. The Club has a full schedule of events for you and your family; for both children and grown-ups. Our Culinary and service team have a fantastic line-up of wonderful food beginning with the Santa Brunch through the New Year s Eve event. If you ladies are looking for more of a drop-in event, please join the Girls Night Out Happy Hour every Wednesday evening from 5 to 7. I hear their having a great time with lots of laughs and a cocktail or two! This year, we have decided to keep the Friday Afternoon Cocktails (FAC) going throughout the month of December. Please plan to stop in for a chance to win the big pot and enjoy this festive season with your Club family and friends. Are you looking for a special gift for your favorite golfer?
