You have all treated me as nothing less than a family member for the past 10 years and I am forever thankful. I am happy be in a new position that will continue to make our Club, The Country Club of Columbus, the best Country Club by far. We have to be champions, advocates, for our Club and invite new members who you think would be a great addition to the CCC. We have some fantastic Membership Programs that will continue through 2017 that will certainly encourage the new potential member to join us at our home away from home. Moving to a new city is never an easy task especially when moving a family. I cannot be more excited about this club and its members. We have had some change over the last month and some of you have had the opportunity to meet our new Executive Chef, Rocco Caggiano. We are so excited to have Chef Rocco join our team and look forward to elevating everyone s dining experience. Kasey Wilkerson Rice has made her transition into her new role as the new Marketing and Membership Director. Kasey has been a long time, dedicated employee and we are very excited about her new opportunity and the clubs future membership growth. Please make sure to congratulate both of them in their new roles. The holidays are a busy time for everyone and we would like to share those times with you, your families and friends. This is a great time of year to bring your friends and colleagues to show off our club and introduce new people to what we have to offer and see all of the fantastic improvements we are making. As everyone is aware, construction will be happening on our dining room, outdoor dining, and fitness center. We will do our best to ensure that our improvements don t disrupt our operations. We will stay in constant communication with all of our members about the progress as well as any interruptions in service. Finally, I want to personally thank every member for supporting this club. I am overwhelmed and grateful for the opportunity to be here and be part of this family. We have a terrific team and I look forward to being part of it to better serve you now and in the future. Our mild weather and the mature condition of the golf course make Fall and early Winter a great time to get out and enjoy the golf course. We are likely to have mild temperatures this time of year but this is also the season for the occasional frost delay on the course. As always we try to protect the golf course so we restrict foot traffic on the course when the ground is frozen or frost is on the turf. Traffic on frozen turf can damage the plant; and especially the root system. The damage is not evident until the following Spring when the turf comes back thin or does not come back at all. On mornings when the temperatures are in the 30 s or lower please check with the golf shop for a possible frost or freeze delay. Thank you for your understanding in protecting the turf for your year-round enjoyment. Check out the pictures of our juniors that have had success this Fall. We also had the Turkey Round Robin in the middle of November. In October we had the Member Guest Round Robin on a Monday night. 36 players came for a fun evening of tennis. We played 4.5, 4.0, and 3.5 levels.
