Entries will close at 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 31 Oct Letter Inviting entries, Conditions for Sale and blank Entry forms can be downloaded from the link of our website 2. At the time of entry, all horses must be certified for soundness by one of the Veterinarians nominated by the Committee of RWITC Ltd. If they are received by 30 Nov 2017, they will be considered for registration at a fee of Rs. 3,000/- each + 18%. Names of Stallions not used for breeding in 2017 may be informed by If any of the horses listed in para 5 and 6 (above) have died, been destroyed or have been put out of Stud, the details may please be intimated. Karthikeyan, Chairman, Veterinary Commission, given below is the region wise allocation of Breeding Establishments for collection of Blood samples from foals born in RWITC RCTC HRC BTC MRC MyRC Stud farms in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Stud farms in Rajasthan. Stud farms in Telangana and Haryana (except Hazara Stud). Stud farms in Karnataka (only Broadacres) and Punjab. Stud farms in Tamilnadu. Stud farms in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Ambala. 13. Other Details. Other details regarding the visits by Veterinary Officers are given in Appendix B to this Circular. Breeding Establishments are requested to peruse Appendix B carefully, as it also contains the testing charges as informed by Chairman, Veterinary Commission, Turf Authorities of India and other useful information. 5 Appendix - A (Refers to our Circular No.SBAI/CIRC/10/2017/2928 dated 06 Oct 2017) SCHEDULE OF EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATION OF FOALS BORN IN 2016 Equine Influenza (EI) vaccination of foals born in 2016 by the breeders/stud farms is absolutely mandatory before they arrive for Annual Sale in Mumbai or directly into race courses. The following time-bound schedule of three doses of CALVENZA vaccination should be carried out as detailed below:- 1. First EI vaccination : 1 st week of October Second EI vaccination : 1 st week of November Third EI vaccination : 1 st week of December 2017 Notes: 1. Last EI vaccination should be preferably completed at least TWO weeks before the foals move out of their breeding establishments 2. Date of each vaccination, batch number of the vaccine and vaccine sticker should be pasted on the Passport of respective foals. Vaccination is strictly time-bound and every effort should be made to adhere to the above guidelines. 3. No foal shall be allowed to enter Annual sale or any race course premises without a complete course of vaccination and proper vaccination records. 4. 6 Appendix B (Refers to our Circular No.SBAI/CIRC/10/2017/2928 dated 06 Oct 2017) CHARGES FOR COLLECTION AND EIA GLANDERS TESTING OF 2 YR-OLDS 1. All foals of 2016 that desire to enter a racing center at any time must initially have their blood sample drawn by the Veterinary Officer of a Turf Authority and tested by the Diagnostic Research Laboratory, situated in RWITC Ltd, Pune. Samples drawn by other person/s and tests conducted at other laboratories thereon shall not be accepted by Turf Authorities of India. 2. To undertake mandatory testing of Two-year olds, the Veterinary Officers will be visiting breeding establishments from 05 th Jan 2018 to 15 th Jan The programme of visit of Veterinary Officers is dependent on flight schedules and availability of reservation and is likely to change at short notice. The Veterinary Officers will forward their itinerary directly to the breeding establishment(s) concerned. 3. If a breeding establishment / person fails to have all its foals of 2016 sampled in this period for any reason whatsoever including the reason that the foal will go to a racing center more than 4 months later, etc, such breeding establishment/person shall at that time be required to request a Turf Authority to specifically send a Veterinary Officer for drawing the sample. The breeding establishment / person concerned would then have to mandatorily meet an additional expenditure of Rs. 30,000/- representing the additional cost for drawing samples at a later date at any given breeding establishment. 4. A supplementary reference set of Laboratory reports of all 2016 born foals, whose blood samples were collected by the Official Veterinarians and tested by Diagnostic Research Laboratories (DRL) Pune, will be made available by 1st March 2018 to all the Sr. Veterinary Officers of race clubs for their verification/confirmation of this mandatory compliance whenever a horse is seeking entry to race course anytime later during NO 2016 born foal shall be allowed into a race course if it was not initially sampled by the Official Vets and tested only at the DRL, Pune. For further clarification on this issue, The Technical Director DRL, Pune or The Chairman, Veterinary Commission, Madras Race Club, Chennai may be approached. 6. Breeding establishments are requested to extend their full co-operation to the representative of the Turf Authority by keeping the yearlings ready for sample collection and also ensure that their Passports are available for identification. In case Passports are not available, the Certificate of Identity should be presented. 7. A representative of the breeding establishment must be present at the time of collection of the samples. Movements of yearlings should be avoided till the samples are collected. 8. No foal of 2016 will be accepted at any Racing Centre either for Auction Sales or for Racing unless their samples are drawn by a Veterinary Officer of a Turf Authority and they are negative for EIA and Glanders. The results of the test will be intimated to the breeding establishment directly by the Sr. Veterinary Officer concerned. 9. All breeding establishments are requested to hand over a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- per sample being sample collection charges to the concerned Veterinary Officer, who collects the samples. 10. The Veterinary Officers need to hand over all the samples to Diagnostic Research Laboratory, RWITC, Pune by 15 th Jan 2018 for EIA and Glanders testing. 11. The Diagnostic Research Laboratory, RWITC, Pune conducts the tests and forwards the results of EIA and Glanders to the Senior / Chief Veterinary Officers of the Turf Authorities by 20 th Jan The last date for receipt of repeat samples is 20 th Jan 2018 and the results of the repeat samples or other samples situations, shall be released before 30 th Jan The Laboratory testing charges for EIA and Glanders is Rs. 600/- per sample. The Diagnostic Research Laboratory, RWITC, Pune will be conducting the tests at their Lab in Pune. 6

7 14. The Stud Farms are requested to note that all matters pertaining to service charges and the results of the test are addressed ONLY to the concerned Turf Authority, 15.
