5 8 BANGALORE TURF CLUB LTD. NOTICE Reg : Sweepstakes Races The Stewards reserve the right to refuse an entry or to cancel an accepted entry at any stage without assigning a reason. Entries for Sweepstakes races are accepted subject to the following conditions, that the Stewards reserve the right in connection with any of these races, should the conditions existing warrant it, to cancel these races or to reduce the amount of the prize money, entrance, forfeits and acceptance fees advertised. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that it is subject to the Rules of Racing of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. and the General conditions as published in the Prospectus of Bangalore Winter Meeting and that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of such entry and / or the start and / or the running and / or the result of the race as in all other races under the Rules of the Club shall be decided by the Stewards and that their authority shall be supreme and their decision shall be final and shall not be liable to be questioned in any court of Law. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the name of any race after the closing of Entries and to increase the advertised Stakes for any race prior to Final Forfeits. 9 BANGALORE TURF CLUB LTD. NOTICE Reg : Permission to race at other centres. a. No horse will be eligible to participate in any race at other centre/s except for the race for which permission has been granted. b. No horse will be eligible to participate at other centre/s without running at BTC at least once. c. In case a horse temporarily leaves the centre, subsidy will be recovered for the period of absence only, if the period extends beyond one month. d. If any horse which has left BTC temporarily for racing at any other centre participates in a race for which permission has not been granted then such horse/s will not be eligible for subsidy, incentives and stable given to a local horse and will be treated as an outstation horse. e. Horses who participate in any preparatory race at any other centre after obtaining permission by the undersigned will continue to be treated as local horses. However, such horses will not be eligible for any incentive during Bangalore Winter Meeting th October, 2016 By order the of Stewards, K. It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that all horses arriving at the premises of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., should posses the following documents without which they will be strictly prohibited from entering the B.T.C. premises:- (a) (b) (c) A valid Coggins Test Certificate negative for E.I.A. A health Certificate from the Senior Veterinary Officer of the respective club stating that the horse does not show any clinical signs of E.I.A., Glanders, AHS strangles or Equine Influenza at the time of its departure. An endorsement in the passport to the effect that they have been administered with approved vaccination against Equine Influenza. The details of the vaccination such as Date and Name of the Vaccine, Batch No. and Expiry date (Vignette) should be endorsed in the passport and must be duly signed by the Senior Veterinary Officer of the respective club. 2. No horse will be permitted to race during Bangalore Winter Meeting unless stabled in B.T.C. premises with the prior permission of the Management. 3. (a) In respect of Bangalore based horses registered on or before stables will be provided : (i) 10 for 3 to 8 years old rated 0 and above (ii) for 2-year-olds (Foaled in 2014) under the charge of A Licence Trainers, which are stabled in the B.T.C. premises as on (b) Horses which cross the specified age limit on will be permitted to be stabled in the B.T.C. Premises till the conclusion of Bangalore Winter Meeting except horses aged 9 years rated 0 to 40. (c) In case a horse fails to run at least TWICE or does not earn stakes for any place even ONCE under B.T.C. rules during the period to , Service Charges as detailed below will be debited to the account of the Owner/s concerned:- 11 (i) If the horse does not run even once : Rs. 5,000 (ii) If the horse runs only once : Rs. 2,000 However, horses certified unfit for racing by the Club s Veterinary Officer during the above period will be exempted from service charges. 4. Outstation horses will be allowed to participate only in Classic/ Graded/Sweepstakes races. Such of those horses who wish to participate in a particular race are permitted to enter B.T.C premises 15 days in advance and they have to leave the premises within 7 days after the race is over. 5. No owner will be permitted to stable more than 100 Bangalore based horses of any age, either wholly or partly owned by him. This ceiling will include a maximum of 40 two-year- olds. 6. Number of horses under the charge of A Licence Trainers permitted to be stabled in B.T.C. permises shall not exceed 1000 including 2-year-olds. 7. Stables allotted to a particular Owner/Trainer must be occupied only by horses in his charge. Stables applied for and not occupied before the commencement of Bangalore Winter Meeting will be allotted to other Owners/Trainers without any further notice. No Owner/Trainer will be permitted to sublet the stables allotted to him. 8. Horses which do not satisfy the condition of eligibility for stabling as specified above will not be permitted to be stabled in the B.T.C. Premises under any circumstances. 9. Allotment of stables will be at the entire discretion of the management which will be final. 10. Horses on arrival should be produced before the Club s Veterinary Officer and a certificate of soundness obtained. 11. No Course Fee or stable rent will be charged in respect of any horse stabled in the B.T.C. premises with the prior approval of the Management. 12. The Club accepts no responsibility for any damage to horses, employees or property whilst in these stables or within the premises.

7 13. No Entry Fee or Forfeit will be charged in any race except Sweepstakes races. However, (a) service charges will be levied as under for horses entered and scratched:- 0.25% of stakes to the winner in case the entry is made only for one race during the week. 0.5% of stakes to the winner in each race in case the entry is made for two races during the week. 1% of stakes to the winner in each race in case the entry is made for more than two races during the week. (b) (i) No service charge will be levied in case the horse is accepted to run in any race if the entry was made for a maximum of two races during the week. (c) 12 (ii) Service charge will be levied even if the horse is accepted to run in any race if the entry was made for more than two races during the week as per 13 (a) (iii) above for every additional entry. Service charge will be 2% of the stakes to the winner for horses entered, accepted and withdrawn on any other ground except on Veterinary ground or for fractious behaviour at the starting gates at the time of starting in which case no service charge will be levied. 15th October, 2016 By order of the Managing Committee, K. 8 13 14 BANGALORE WINTER MEETING (Under B.T.C. Rules of racing) NOTICE REG: ALLOTMENT OF STABLES TO OUTSTATION HORSES ON A PERMANENT BASIS AT BANGALORE FOR PARTICIPATING IN BANGALORE RACES Trainers and Owners are hereby informed that Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. will permit the following category of horses coming from any racing centre in India for allotment of stables on a permanent basis at Bangalore to participate in Bangalore races:- (i) Horses aged 3 years. (ii) Horses aged 4 to 6 years rated 50 and above under B.T.C. Rules of Racing. However, allotment of stables to these horses is subject to the following conditions: a) These horses should have entered or guarantee to enter for at least ONE Classic or THREE Sweepstakes races to be run during Bangalore Winter Meeting b) Horses aged 4 years old and over which have not placed First, Second, Third or Fourth in their last Ten starts and horses aged 4 years old and over which have not raced since 1st November, 2015 will not be considered for allotment of stables. c) A maximum of 15 eligible horses will be considered for allotment of stables under the above scheme on a first-come first-serve basis subject to availability of stables. d) A maximum of three horses only will be allowed per trainer/ owner. e) These horses should be under the charge of A licensed trainers based in Bangalore. These horses will be permitted strictly within the upper limit of local horses per trainer. f) These horses will not be permitted to participate at any other centre without running at least once at Bangalore. g) These horses will be treated as local horses except that the Owner/Trainer will not be extended any incentive or subsidy in respect of such horses for the first one year. h) These horses will be treated as full fledged local horses from 1st November, 2017 and will be extended all the benefits given to local horses thereafter. i) A service charge of Rs. 1,00,000/- per horse will be levied on the owner/trainer in case such horse leaves B.T.C premises before 1st November, 2017 or even if the horse fails to participate at least four times exclusively at Bangalore with in 31st August, The above service charge will not be condoned under any circumstance. j) Allotment of stables will be at the entire discretion of the management which will be final and binding. k) All horses arriving at the premises of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., should possess the following documents without which they will be strictly prohibited from entering the B.T.C. premises:- (i) A valid Coggins Test Certificate negative for E.I.A. 9 15 OATS SUBSIDY TO A LICENSED TRAINERS FOR THE PERIOD 1ST NOVEMBER, 2016 TO 31ST MARCH, 2017 (A) Concessions for 2-year-olds (Foaled in 2015) 1. A sum of Rs. 1,000 per horse per month will be credited to the account of the Trainer concerned in respect of 2-year-olds (Foaled in 2015) from 1st January, 2017 or from the date of arrival in B.T.C. premises whichever is later up to 31st October, This subsidy will be extended to horse/s which are stabled outside the premises of Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. for whom B.T.C. could not provide stables even after such horse/s was/were registered and a request for allotment of stable/s was made by the concerned Owner/Trainer. In case any horse/s after obtaining the subsidy fails to occupy the stable/s before 1st November, 2017, after the stable/s was duly alloted to such horse/s, a penalty equivalent to ten times the subsidy paid will be debited to the account of the Trainer concerned. 2. If any horse is taken away to any other Centre before 31st December, 2019 without completing four runs under B.T.C. Rules, the entire amount paid as Oats Subsidy by the Club will be recovered from the Trainer/Owner. In addition a service charge will be debited to the Owners account, for the period for which the horse is stabled in the B.T.C. premises as detailed below : i) if the horse does not run even once : Rs. 1,000/- per month ii) if the horse runs only once : Rs. 750/- per month iii) if the horse runs only twice : Rs. 500/- per month iv) if the horse runs only thrice : Rs. 250/- per month Until the amount is fully settled the horse will not be permitted to leave the premises of B. T. C. Ltd. However, horses certified unfit for racing by the Club s Veterinary Officer will be exempted from service charges, provided such horses leave B.T.C. premises not later than one month from the date of such certification. 3. A maximum of 315 two-year-olds will be permitted to be enrolled as local horses. 4. These 2-year-olds must be registered before entering the B.T.C. premises. (B) Concessions for 2/3-year-olds (Foaled in 2014) and 3 years old and over. 1. Oats subsidy will be credited as indicated for 2-year-olds (Foaled in 2015) above provided the horse either runs at least twice under B.T.C. Rules during the period 1st November, 2016 to 31st October, 2017 or earns stakes for any place at least once under B.T.C. Rules during the said period. However, horses certified unfit by the Club s Veterinary Officer will also be paid the above subsidy even if such horses do not complete the requisite number of runs during the above period. In case a horse temporarily leaves the centre, subsidy will be recovered for the period of absence only, if the period extends beyond one month. 2. Only horses which are under the charge of A Licence Trainers and availed of Oats Subsidy before the commencement of Bangalore Winter Meeting and which are stabled in B.T.C. premises before the commencement of Bangalore Winter Meeting are eligible for Subsidised Oats. 3. The number of horses which will receive Oats Subsidy will be limited at the discretion of the Management to a maximum of 1000 horses at any time during the year. Note: Horses aged 4 years old and over who have not placed first, second third or fourth in their last ten starts as on 1st November, 2016 will not be eligible for the above subsidy. 15th October, By Order of the Managing Committee, K. 10 BANGALORE TURF CLUB LTD. PERFORMANCE LINKED INCENTIVES TO OWNERS OF BANGALORE BASED HORSES 1. In respect of local horses 15% incentive on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th stakes earned in ordinary races during Bangalore Winter Meeting will be credited to the accounts of the owner/s concerned. 2. In respect of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th placed local horses earning stakes in ordinary races during Bangalore Winter Meeting , the following incentive will be credited to the accounts of the owner/s concerned. Winner : Rs. 42,000 Second : Rs. 21,000 Third : Rs. 12,600 Fourth : Rs. 4,872 Fifth : Rs. 2,352 Sixth : Rs. 1, In respect of horses bred in Karnataka, 10% incentive on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th stakes earned in ordinary races during Bangalore Winter Meeting will be credited to the accounts of the owner/s concerned. 4. In respect of local horses, 20% incentive on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th stakes earned in ordinary races during Bangalore Winter Meeting will be credited on a pro-rata basis to the concerned Owner/s provided such Owner/s has/have no interest in more than five local horses including 2-year-olds (Foaled in 2014) owned either individually and/or jointly and/or by a syndicate. The cut off date for determining the eligibility for the above incentive will be 1st November, 2016 after which any owner acquiring interest in more than five horses exluding 2-year-olds in January 2017 (Foaled in 2015) will cease to receive the above incentive from that date. Note: Horses aged 4 years old and over who have not placed first, second, third or fourth in their last ten starts as on 1st November 2016 are not eligible for the above incentives. 15th October, By order of the Managing Committee, K.
