STEWARDS: J D Walshe (Chairman), G E V Hargraves & J J Whybrow As R Brewer was indisposed, Stewards permitted the following riding substitutions: Race 1 Race 4 Millijule S Guymer Victory Square B Loy RACE 1: Wysco Building Services Class 1 & Maiden Plate 1650m Chenonceau Slow to begin. New Millennium Shortly after the start was checked when crowded by Leica Bita Magic which was taken in by Purple Over Green, which laid in. D beak Was held up for some distance after the 600m and near the 400m had to be steadied out off the heels of Purple Over Green which was weakening to obtain clear running. Again was held up between the 300m and until passing the 150m. The Arod On straightening had to be restrained from the heels of Mirrabooka (A Layt) which shifted out when not clear. A Layt was reprimanded (AR137(a)). Tipta Tantivy When questioned, rider app M Kinny stated that after being held up rounding the home turn, shortly after straightening, she anticipated taking a run between Millijule and Leica Bita Magic, however when that run closed she then directed her mount to the inside of Millijule passing the 250m, however her mount was not travelling well enough to take advantage of a run between Millijule and Mirrabooka and despite having some difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages in her view her mount had performed only fairly. Mirrabooka After the 50m was contacted by La Vitesse Rush which shifted out. Purple Over Green When questioned, rider S Pollard stated that his mount which was beaten 25L, did not stretch out at any stage of the event and was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding when giving ground prior to the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer Mr R Price was told that a

2 warning would be recorded concerning the filly being uncompetitive today and he advised that the filly would now be transferred from his stable. La Vitesse Rush Rider S Miller was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out fully to the end of the race. Following the running of this race the track was upgraded to a Good (3) at 1:10pm. RACE 2: Elizabeth Fleming And Associates Maiden Handicap 920m Toohezy Slow to begin. Denman Quality Ran out on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Mum s Money Rider S Guymer (Keep The Vision) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that after the 800m he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of Ficktishous which had to be steadied and was taken in across the rightful running of Mum s Money which had to be checked. S Guymer s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Tuesday 20 December 2016 and to expire on Friday 30 December 2016, on which day he may ride. Ficktishous After the 800m was steadied from the heels of Keep The Vision. Can t Find Snippy Following the race pulled back and reared over in the wash bay and sustained a laceration to its left shoulder and had blood present in its left nostril due to trauma. Trainer Mr P Murray was advised that he would be required to provide a veterinary clearance prior to the filly being permitted to race again. RACE 3: Monarch Hotel Maiden Plate 1300m Bring Cheer The explanation tendered by trainer Ms T Bateup for failing to produce the Thoroughbred Identity Card for the filly was accepted by Stewards, however she was advised that the filly would not be permitted to race again unless the card was firstly produced. Sega Dancer On jumping was contacted by Smart Remark which shifted in. Passing the 1000m when over-racing, had to be restrained and shifted out from the heels of Intastella Magic which shifted out slightly to avoid the heels of Vie Sera which shifted out slightly when over-racing. As a consequence was obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event. Smart Remark Passing the 1000m was inconvenienced and taken wider by Sega Dancer and as a consequence raced particularly wide for the remainder of the race. Binary Chip Passing the 450m was restrained when taken out toward the heels of Intastella Magic by Balonne (app Ms R Hunt), which when laying out, shifted out more acutely when being eased out from behind the heels of Bring Cheer. App Ms R Hunt was advised to exercise more care. Rounding the home turn was bumped by Balonne which hung out. On straightening was inconvenienced by Intastella Magic which shifted out.

3 Passing the 300m was restrained when crowded for room between Pink Moscato which shifted in marginally and Intastella Magic which, when weakening shifted out away from Smart Remark (B Loy) which shifted out initially when not clear. B Loy was advised to exercise more care. Intastella Magic Passing the 300m, when weakening was taken out by Smart Remark. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have sustained a laceration to its offhind leg with minor damage to its superficial digital flexor tendon. Trainer Mr G Stephens was told that after its spell he would be required to provide a veterinary clearance prior to the mare also being required to barrier trial before the mare would be permitted to race again. Dance Harder Son Slow to begin. On straightening was steadied after improving onto the heels of Binary Chip which shifted out after being bumped. Vie Sera Passing the 200m ran in and had to be corrected by its rider. RACE 4: Eurobodalla Rotary Clubs Maiden Plate 1300m Feisty Fox Slow to begin. Patee Cat Slow to begin. Supreme Chips Over-raced in the middle stages. Victory Square Raced wide throughout. Trident Was held up for clear running from the 300m and until near the 200m. Burnbabyburn When questioned regarding the performance of the mare which was on debut, rider R Bensley stated that whilst he was obliged to make some use of his mount to cross to the lead from his wide gate, the mare nevertheless travelled well in the middle stages but then weakened inside the final 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a poor rate of recovery. RACE 5: Smith And Co Tiles Class 1 Handicap 1300m A Snip Of Cyndy Became fractious in its tie-up stall, slipped over and sustained minor wounds on its dock, right side of its jaw and off-hind fetlock and hock and was a late withdrawal by order of the Stewards at 3:12pm. Stewards ordered that all investments on A Snip Of Cyndy be refunded in full and that all successful bets placed with bookmakers prior to 3:12pm be paid less the following deductions in the dollar on the face value of the ticket: 1 st : Out Of the Night: 19c win and 18c place. 2 nd : Classic Conquest: 15c place. 3 rd : Blue Tuscan: 18c place. Miss Denari Slow to begin.

4 Classic Conquest Was held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Beaut Bopa Raced wide throughout. Mister Gibson Raced particularly wide throughout. Out Of The Night Was held up on straightening and had to be shifted out to obtain clear running. Blue Tuscan Rider B Loy was reprimanded under AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than is permitted under the Rule. Mi Estilo Rider M Travers was reprimanded for desisting momentarily from riding his mount, which was placed 6 th, out over the concluding stages. In taking that action, Stewards were satisfied that his inaction had not cost his mount 4 th placing, but had prejudiced his mount from finishing in 5 th place. RACE 6: Batemans Bay Soldiers Club Benchmark 58 Handicap 1425m Jayko Slow to begin. Passing the 1300m shifted in and bumped Siberian Rose. Siberian Rose Passing the 1300m was bumped by Jayko (app C MacFarlane) which shifted in, resulting in both the mare and its rider app B Ryan becoming badly unbalanced. App C MacFarlane was reprimanded under AR137(a). Brown Bob Over-raced in the middle stages. Flash Magic Was obliged to race wide throughout. Was not able to be tested close to the line when positioned close to the heels of Siberian Rose. Our Cracker - On straightening was crowded for room by Jayko which laid in. RACE 7: Elders Batemans Bay Christmas Flying 1010m Manatassee Bumped on jumping by Yarragee Road which shifted out. Chattachang When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider R Bensley stated that his mount did not show anticipated early speed today and got back further than expected. He added that despite being obliged to race wide throughout the gelding nevertheless did not travel strongly during the race, failed to respond to his riding in the straight and he was of the view that the gelding may now be better suited being stepped up in distance. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer Mr G Clarke indicated that as he also agreed with the views of his rider the gelding would be entered next start in a race over further ground. RACE 8: Reece Plumbing Community Christmas Cup 1300m Coolcat Dancer Slow to begin. Mineral Deposit Bounded on jumping.

5 Little Chief Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with Red Fender and became unbalanced. Chasing Charlie Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Mineral Deposit Passing the 1000m when over-racing was checked and shifted out to avoid the heels of Budderoo Knight (G Buckley) which shifted in. Whilst it was noted that the gelding was inclined to lay in, G Buckley was nevertheless reprimanded under AR137(a) for making an insufficient effort to prevent his mount s shift. Sigmund When questioned, rider app H Grace stated that near the 250m, when held up on the heels of Brimstone he was unable to shift to the inside of that runner as he would not have been clear of All Giving and further that when he then initially observed El Toranado and then Coolcat Dancer to his outside, and as he was of the view that he would not be able to shift to the outside of Brimstone without causing interference to those runners, his mount was held up and did not obtain clear running until inside the final 30m. Hello Schumann Rider B Loy will be interviewed regarding his use of the whip prior to the 100m. * Swab samples were obtained from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Mirrabooka, Millijule Race 2: Denman Quality, Toohezy Race 3: Sega Dancer, Barefoot Showgirl Race 4: Bramwell, Burnbabyburn Fines: Reprimands: Suspensions: Bleeders: Warnings: Trials: Vet Certificates: SUMMARY Nil.
