All classes & Championships have Trophies for the winners which are Perpetual Challenge & must be signed for at the Secretary s desk before they will be presented and are held for ONE YEAR. (Some trophies are specific for Championships). Other trophies may be selected from what is available generally the smaller plaques & star awards for in hand and the larger plaques & cups for ridden. All available for you to engrave. They look far better on your shelf than in a box at my home, hence this change. Trophies in the Lead Line, First Ridden, Junior Walk/Trot & Junior Junction classes are keepsakes and do NOT have to be returned. If you won a trophy in 2017, please ensure it is RETURNED to us by 1 st July 2018, unless winners have pre-entered the 2018 show by this date. Please indicate on your entry form the names of any trophies that you are returning on the day of the show. It s far easier for me NOT to have trophies and so avoid having to chase their return but everyone likes to win them, so please do your bit and return them early or let me know you will be bringing them on the day with you to the 2018 show. Unless otherwise specified, all classes are open to any breed horse / pony, any age, any height. Hunt Seat - traditional English style of showing, with forward seat. To be shown in snaffle, Pelham or double no martingales or training aids allowed (except where specified in schedule). Saddle Seat - traditional American style of showing, with Lane Fox style saddle and double or Pelham bridle (two reins). Foreign Breeds any breed that is non-indigenous to the British Isles (partbreds to be a minimum of 25% foreign breed) and excludes Irish horses/ponies. Ridden classes horses or ponies in ridden foreign breeds must be at least 3 years of age. Any Foreign Breed aged 3 may only enter 2 ridden classes at this show (we consider a championship the same as a class). Ridden horses or ponies in all other classes must be at least 4 years of age. The judge will not ride in any class. Individual shows are NOT required in the World Breeds ring. Stallions and colts welcome, but should be bitted and under control and to be shown by adults. Horses should be turned out correct for their breed (with full mane & tail if correct), in all classes. Current Safety Hats MUST be worn at all times when mounted. Junior exhibitors (under 18) MUST wear these hats in ALL classes, including in hand. Adult riders should ensure that the Secretary is in possession of a Disclaimer Form (see entry form) for any non-safety conforming traditional headgear that they choose to wear. Exhibitors may wear approved safety hats (& jackets) in any class without penalty. No claim can be entertained for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers, their property, servants or horses in connection with or arising out of the show. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the Promoters against any legal action arising out of any incident and to agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the show and the Showground. All competitors must have adequate insurance to cover any incident that may be caused by them or their animals. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead please clear up after your pooch! The organisers reserve the right to combine, cancel or change the running order of classes on the day if the needs arise. The Show Organisers would like to thank all the sponsors, Judges, stewards and helpers that run the show. Please note that for the London Counties Horse Show all rings run concurrently and so classes MAY clash bear this in mind when making your entries & please watch your rings. It is the policy of this show NOT to forward trophies by post, so please check at the Secretary s Desk before going home! All competitors must complete and sign an entry form (including contact address). CHAMPIONSHIPS if you do not intend to show back, please let the Secretary know ASAP on the day. 5 BEST MARE, BEST GELDING & BEST YEARLING rosettes awarded in all in hand classes 1 to 69 (where relevant) and BEST JUNIOR RIDER (under 18 years of age) rosettes awarded in all ridden classes 12 to 73 (were relevant) at the APHS London Counties Horse Show. LOTS of special awards in various classes! FOREIGN breed classes, unless otherwise specified, are open to both pure and partbreds (min 25%) and excludes Irish horses / ponies. This show is affiliated to the Foreign Breed Society and these classes will be judged under Foreign Breed Society (American) rules, which can be found at: Iberian Horses showing in-hand with a serreta must have a throat latch. Horses placed 1 st 3 rd in all Foreign Breed classes qualify for the FBS Championship Show in September. FBS Membership NOT required to take part in the classes at the APHS London Counties Show. All In Hand and Ridden Champions at this show qualify for H.O.P.E. 'S Best of the Best Supreme Championship Final 2018, to be held at Onley GEC, Rugby in August. Open to all qualified horses & ponies to compete for HOPE s Best of the Best In hand Supreme Champion (trophy, garland and 100 to winner, 50 and sash to reserve) and HOPE s Best of the Best Supreme Champion (trophy, garland and 100 to winner, 50 and sash to reserve). The Roundhills Stud Challenge Trophy, kindly donated by Mr & Mrs R Browne for the Best of the Best In Hand Palomino. A trophy and sash for the Best Miniature Horse, Best Shetland, Best Coloured, Best Thoroughbred, Best Veteran, Best Ridden Palomino and the Bond St. Trophy for the Best of the Best World Breed. Finalist rosettes to each exhibit forward for the final. All in hand and ridden champions at today s show qualify if champion already qualified, then reserve champion will qualify and if both champion and reserve have already qualified then second reserve (if awarded) will qualify. TSR Championships 1 st & 2 nd from ALL classes (both in hand and ridden) qualify for the TSR Championship Shows. TSR Riders Champs - 1 st & 2 nd riders qualify. TSR In Hand Champs two highest placed handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring and they are available from the TSR website. Riders/handlers can choose which Regional Final they go to. See website: for more details. THINK PINK CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW: Winners from ALL classes, except working hunter, qualify for the Think Pink Charity Show held in September. For more details and your qualification card (this should be printed off before you come to the show, to be signed by the judge in the ring) contact: TRADITIONAL GYPSY COB ASSOCIATION our in hand and ridden classes are affiliated to the 2018 Traditional Gypsy Cob Association National Championship Show TOYS affiliation number TGCA/07/08/012. These classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association's (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show TOYS, held annually in August. Details from Classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs. Stallions: All stallions (four years and over): in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class, stallions must be licensed with the TGCA prior to the show AND have their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature - this show is a qualifier for either the 2018 TOYS or the 2019 TOYS for TGCA members/registered horses. Non members will receive a qualification card from the judge and will have 21 days to join the TGCA and to register their horse in order to validate this this show is a 2019 TOYS qualifier for non-members with non-registered horses. TOYS Qualifications will be awarded to the top three youngstock, small senior In Hand, large senior In Hand, small ridden, large ridden and to the highest placed junior and restricted exhibitor. Quest for a Star: 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd from the TGCA classes at this show may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship on the day, provided they are current TGCA 5 Page

6 members and the horse is registered this is in ADDITION to the LONDON COUNTIES TGCA CHAMPIONSHIP (open to 1 st to 3 rd from classes 29, 31, 32, 35 & 36). TGCA Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring for the TGCA QUEST Championship, where Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS. BSPA Coloured classes: Classes 27, 28, 30, 33, 34, 37, 38 & 39 are open to Skewbalds & Piebalds only: these classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald & Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the 2018 World Championships of Colour National Championship Show, Qualification: 1 st 3 rd in all classes or 1 st 4 th for classes with 10 or more entries. All classes will be judged within the rules and criteria of the BSPA. Copies of the Rule book and Membership / Horse Registration / Overstamping Forms can be obtained from the Show Office: or may be downloaded from: BSPA Classes are open to Members and Non-Members but only Members will qualify for the WCC Championships. In order to qualify, all Owners / Handlers / Riders must be Members of the BSPA and all Horses / Ponies registered with the BSPA prior to the Show. BSPA qualification cards must be produced in the Ring and signed by the Judge, otherwise the qualification is invalid. The Champion & Reserve from both In Hand and Ridden Coloured Championships will qualify for The BSPA Star Championship at WCoC, plus qualifiers in all coloured classes. In addition, the two highest placed skewbald or piebald in classes 37 & 38 also qualify. Spurs are not allowed in the ridden coloured classes (37, 38 & 39). The highest placed Amateur and the highest placed Junior in each class (must be BSPA Members) will qualify for the Amateur and Junior Supreme Championships Finals to be held at the BSPA World of Colour Championship Show. Qualification: 1 st 3 rd in all classes or 1 st 4 th for classes with 10 or more entries. All stallions 4 years old and over must be graded, licensed and registered with the BSPA or in possession of a 2018 Stallion Showing Permit in order to compete and must carry into the ring their Red BSPA ID Card and Stallion Bridle Discs to be worn. (Contact the BSPA for Stallion Showing Permit information). Non-registered horses (except stallions, see previous) and/or those owned by non-members MAY compete in any class, but obviously will not be eligible for qualification. 7 This show is a 15+ Horse & Pony County Championship Show Those placing 1 st to 3 rd in ANY class (if aged 15 or older) qualify for the 15+ Horse & Pony National Show, which is held at Equifest August Handlers and Horses must register with 15+ Horse & Pony events within 14 days of this show qualifying cards must be signed by the judge / show official at this show. Those placed 1 st & 2 nd from our veteran classes PLUS 1 st & 2 nd in ANY class are eligible to go forward to the London Counties Veteran Championship at today s show PROVIDED horses/ponies are aged 15 years or older this is open to all (not restricted to 15+ members only) Competitors Great Midlands Horse Show: all classes are qualifiers for the GMHS, being held in 8 th & 9 th September at Onley GEC in Rugby a multidisciplinary show, with both classes where qualification is needed and open classes too. For more information visit: Royal London Show this show is a qualifier for the Royal London being held 21 st 23 rd September at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe, Bedfordshire, MK44 2JP. 1 st 3 rd placed, not already qualified, will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at the Royal London Show. If a horse/pony has already qualified, cards may be handed down to 6 th place at judge s discretion. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring, which will enable the owner and rider/handler to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and exhibitor are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 21 days of the qualifying show. No horse registration is required. For up to date information contact / or see JUNIOR JUNCTION classes (rings 3 & 4): open to any exhibitor aged 14 or under. There is NO height restriction on horse/pony being shown. Block booking IS available for all rings at this event, including the Junior Junction classes, but please check junior classes are still open as they are restricted to 12 entries per class. QUALIFYING CARDS for TSR (in hand), Equifest, Think Pink, Great Midlands Horse Show, Foreign Breed Society - these need to be printed off and brought with you to the show: if you place (1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd, depending on the society) you get your card signed in the ring / at the show. All of these cards are available to download from our website: Royal London Cards will be available at the secretary s desk. All other cards (TGCA, VHS etc.) will be handed out by the judge in the ring. 7 Page

Any horse placed 1 st or 2 nd that is also 15 years of age or older qualifies for the Veteran Championships, C8. Judge: Russell Marks, Worcs. 2 Mountain & Moorland PUREBRED Welsh Breeds, any age. Open to A, B, C & D to be registered in the purebred section of their appropriate stud books special rosette for the Best of each type. Winner qualifies for the Pink Championship Show. 1 st 3 rd qualify for the Royal London Show. 1 st & 2 nd qualify for TSR Championship Show. Any horse placed 1 st or 2 nd that is also 15 years of age or older qualifies for the Veteran Championships, C8.This is a qualifier for the Spillers Equifest In Hand Mountain & Moorland two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify. See notes below. Judge: 3 Mountain & Moorland PUREBRED Non-Welsh Breeds, any age. Open to all other purebred M&M breeds, excluding Welsh A, B, C & D. Horses to be registered with their appropriate Breed Societies. Any horse placed 1 st or 2 nd that is also 15 years of age or older qualifies for the Veteran Championships, C8.Winner qualifies for the Pink Championship Show. 1 st 3 rd qualify for the Royal London Show. 1 st & 2 nd qualify for TSR Championship Show. This is a qualifier for the Spillers Equifest In Hand Mountain & Moorland two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify. See notes below. Classes 2 & 3 will be judged together but pinned separately. Exhibitors with Section C & D horses to enter the ring FIRST at a trot and after completing a circuit to halt and wait for the rest of the exhibitors in class 2 & 3 to enter the ring. All Welsh breeds for class 2 will be judged in half the arena (by the entrance end), whilst those in class 3 will be judged in the other half (at the road end) TWO separate judges will be officiating for these classes. Special award for the Best Section A, B, C & Section D in class 2. Judge: Russell Marks, Worcs. 4 Mountain & Moorland PARTBRED or unregistered, any age. Any horse placed 1 st or 2 nd that is also 15 years of age or older qualifies for the Veteran Championships, C8.
