Quaint New England towns of the Manchester & the Mountains area, noted for their charm, first class accommodations, world-class dining and excellent show facilities host the twenty-fifth annual Vermont Summer Festival. The Harold Beebe Farm in East Dorset is the perfect site for the six weeks of competition. Its lovely peaceful view of the Green Mountains, just off scenic Route 7, offers a well equipped hunter/jumper facility. The show grounds boast SIX all weather rings, including one of the largest Grand Prix fields in New England, as well as several all weather schooling and riding areas, permanent wash racks, paddocks and extended trails for casual enjoyment. And when the day s work is over, the nearby towns are full of New England charm: historic homes, quaint country inns and taverns, many comfortable, friendly places to stay and dine. Manchester is known throughout the region as the home of world-class shopping! You ll find everything from couture clothing to gourmet food to antiques and handmade crafts. The town is home to two dozen outlet stores of top names like Kate Spade, Brooks Brothers, J. Crew, Jones New York, Theory, Coach, and Ralph Lauren. And this mecca of summer recreation runs the gamut from hiking the Appalachian Trail, to golf, tennis, canoeing, fishing, biking, and more. 1

Blue ribbons won in the Hunter section will not affect a rider s status in the Saddle or Stock sections, etc. Ribbons won in classes restricted to a particular breed will affect a rider s status. Ribbons won as a junior affect a rider s status when competing as an adult. Ribbons won in leadline classes and in classes where entries are not required to ride at all gaits will not affect Maiden, Novice and Limit status. 15 JUMPER DIVISION Nominating Fee All horses showing in the Grand Prix, Open, 1.20m & 1.30m and Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Sections must be nominated and pay the nominating fee of $150 by the closing date of entries for each show. Horses showing in jumper sections not requiring a nominating fee will pay the per class fee and should enter their classes when submitting their entry blank or be subject to the post entry penalty. Once a horse is nominated, the nominating fee is NOT refundable. (See Rules and Regulations for additional jumper nomination information.) Declarations Declarations must be made on the appropriate form in the show office the day before the class is to be held and by 4:00 pm or one hour after the last jumper class, whichever is later. Untimely declarations will be subject to the post entry penalty and require the horse to work first in the order. Order of go will be drawn. Horse Recording Jumpers must be recorded and microchipped with the Federation in order to receive points towards any USEF or USHJA or Horse of the Year awards. Any change of a recorded horse's name and/or ownership must be recorded with Federation in accordance with GR1105 and GR1107.
