3 RULES & REGULATIONS 1. HOT WEATHER POLICY The show will be cancelled if the weather forecast is 38 C or over. Please refer to the channel 7 news at 6pm Saturday 10 th February 2018 for a correct Murray Bridge forecast reading. Please contact committee if unsure on details / cancellation. No competitors that have pre-entered will be contacted. 2. ALL CHEQUES ARE TO BE MADE PAYABLE TO THE MURRAY BRIDGE A & H SOCIETY ONLY any cheque received without this written as payable will be sent back to competitor with entries. 3. Some stabling available at $20 per stall per day, bookings to be made on Entry Form and payment must accompany entry form. Stables issued on a first in, first served basis.. Stables must be left clean. If stbles are not left clean, a $50 cleaning fee will be invoiced! Convenor will inspect stables after the event. 4. All rings start at 9am sharp. It will be the responsibility of the Exhibitors to choose their events at their personal preference as some events may clash. The Committee will not hold events. 5. All owners to be financial members and all horses/ponies to be registered with their individual Breed Societies. Where a handler is to be a member of the given breed society proof of this is also required with entries. 6. Registration papers to be available for inspection on the day of the Show if requested by the Committee. 7. All Exhibits to compete in their Breed Classes under the rules laid down by their particular Breed Society. 8. All competitors either need to be a member of their respected breed society or a member of the Murray Bridge A & H Society (2018 A & H Show membership accepted), if neither of these $20 membership is required for insurance purposes. 9. Foals to be led or secured at all times while on the Showgrounds. 10. All exhibits are to be in the control of capable handlers at all times. Stewards reserve the right to remove from the ring any Exhibit which may endanger another Handler or Exhibit. 11. Winners of the Best Presented events are not eligible for Championship awards in their respective Breeds. 12. Protective headgear and footwear must be worn while competing in all ridden classes. 13. Protests to be accompanied by a fee of $50 and a written report to be in the Secretary s hands within 20 minutes of the incident, money to be refunded if protest is upheld. 14. NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS NO EXCEPTIONS! 15. The Committee reserves the right to add, delete or combine any events or change the Judging sequence of any ring at their discretion. The Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entries at their discretion. 17. Any person giving wrong description or giving annoyance to the Show Officials or Judges is liable to disqualification and may be barred from future shows. 18. No lunging of horses on the OVAL OR RING 9!!! No exceptions! 19. The judges' decision is final. 20. Competitors eligible for Supreme LED and RIDDEN exhibit MUST have won Supreme of their breed or Champion where Supreme does not exist. 21. All riders whilst mounted/ driving must wear helmets that comply with AS/NZS 3838, EN 1384, or ASTM F1163 and are less than five years old from date of manufacture. When handling horses (i.e. not riding) suitable footwear must be worn that provides protection to the top of the foot and toes. When mounted only approved riding boots may be worn, must have smooth soles & small heel. TOP HATS CAN ONLY BE WORN IF COMPLY WITH ABOVE RULING 22. All Entrants are required to supply a Property Identification Code (PIC) as per Legal requirements. Entries received without a PIC number will be returned. Exhibitors are reminded that it is now a Legal Requirement to have a Property Identification Code (PIC number) for any property that Equines are kept at. 23. Entry Fees & any other expenses will not be refunded by the Society or HIA Committee. 24. PLEASE DO NOT POST CASH It is an Australia Post offence. 25. ALL STALLIONS AND COLTS TO BE HANDLED AT ALL TIMES BY ADULTS 18 YEARS AND OVER NO EXCEPTIONS STALLIONS / COLTS ARE NOT TO BE STANDING AROUND IN THE WALKWAY, THIS WILL BE POLICED BY THE COMMITTEE / OFFICIALS. 26. ALL STALLIONS & COLTS MUST HAVE GREEN DISKS DISPLAYED FOR SAFETY.

4 INTERSCHOOL TO BE RUN AT 8:30AM (RING AND JUDGE TO BE ADVISED) ALL RIDERS AND MOUNTS TO REPORT TO RING CENTRE 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO START TIME. Judge: Kelli Mann (VIC) EQUESTRIAN AUSTRALIA INTERSCHOOL CLASSES $20 per class (One class includes 2 phases) Each phase will be run according to a draw. Work outs for each phase will be provided to riders prior to the beginning of the competition. 1st to 3rd ribbons will be provided for place getters in each phase. Overall placings will be announced at the conclusion of all phases. Overall placings will be determined by the number of points accrued across all three phases. Riders must nominate for their horse to compete as either a hack OR hunter. These classes will NOT be conducted according to horse s height, but rider s age. All riders competing in Show Rider must adhere to the general uniform requirements: Gaiters are not allowed for riders under 18 in rider class competitions in the Show Rider Competition. Gloves are compulsory for all Show Rider Competitions. The Murray Bridge A & H Society has the right to combine classes on discretion.
