6 ROCKLEA AGRICULTURAL & INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION Inc CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 1. Entries for Ring Events will be taken on the day of show. Entrants for all events must pay admission fee of $7.00 for Adults and $2.50 for Children. 2. All entries must be at the show at the time appointed by the Association. 3. The Committee will take all reasonable care of Exhibits, but the Association shall not in any circumstance be responsible for any accident, mistake, loss or damage or misdelivery of livestock from whatever cause arising at the show. (exhibits being shown at the sole risk of the Exhibitor.) 4. No Decorations or Award Cards other than as provided by the Association shall be placed on any Exhibit or affixed thereto at the show then being held. 5. No exhibitor will be allowed to act as a Steward in a section in which he or she is competing. 6. The Judges decision is final. 7. No prize will be awarded if the Exhibits in any section are considered by the judge of insufficient merit. 8. Protests in writing with a fee of $100 must be lodged with the Secretary not later than half an hour after the Award. The deposit on a protest considered frivolous will be forfeited to the Association. 9. The Association and Committee thereof reserves the right to refuse or cancel any Entry or Entries at any time and shall not be bound to assign any reason for so doing. 10. Non-Competitive displays are invited by the Association. 11. Any person, whether a Member of the Association or not who uses insulting language or creates any disturbance or annoyance to any Show Official, or Officials, within the Showground Area, may be expelled from the Showground area, and/or may be disqualified from taking part in the business of the Association, or attending any meeting thereof until he or she has tendered a written apology through the Committee of the Association for his or her conduct. The disqualified person or persons shall at once be notified by the Secretary and called upon to show cause why the disqualifications should not be enforced. 12. This Show is conducted under the regulations and By-Laws of the Association and the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies, which are deemed to be included herein as if inserted at length. 13. Definitely no refunds on nominations. 14. Prize money not collected during the show will be forfeited. 15. Product will replace prize money issued by the Association wherever possible. 16. All winners of Supreme Champion on Sunday & Monday must appear before a Panel of Judges when called. 17. The official Veterinary Surgeons are permitted to charge their normal consultation fees plus an hourly rate for extended services. In addition exhibitors will be required to pay the costs of all drugs used. Exhibitors will be responsible for the payment of all monies owing to the Veterinary Surgeon. NO REFUNDS ON NOMINATIONS ABSOLUTELY NO FREE LIST FOR COMPETITORS ALL PRIZEMONEY AVAILABLE FOR COLLECTION DURING THE SHOW GOODS AND SERVICES TAX (GST) All Nomination Fees and Prize Monies are GST inclusive 2011 ROCKLEA A & I SHOW PAGE 6

7 WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 1. Any exhibitors & stall holders intending to bring electrical equipment to the showground will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and tagged by a licensed electrical contractor WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. 2. This is essential for the safety of all exhibitors and the general public and is a requirement of the Workplace Health & Safety Act (1989). The act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with its provisions. 3. Any exhibitors & stall holders who do not comply will not be allowed to exhibit at the Rocklea Show. Exhibitors should check all electrical equipment and leads before coming to the showground to avoid the occurrence of any difficulties. SOCIETY S RESPONSIBILITIES 1. The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may occur to any exhibit at THE SHOW, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the ASSOCIATION harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from an accident. 2. The Society will not be held responsible for any accident occurring at the show. The exhibitor shall hold the Association harmless and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any accident. 3. The Society will not, under any consideration, hold itself responsible for any loss, damage or misdelivery of livestock or other exhibits at the show. 4. Any prize money not claimed on Show days will be forfeited to the Society. 5. Exhibitors and persons admitted to the grounds shall be subject to the rules, regulations and orders of the stewards. 6. The foregoing rules and regulations, Rules of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies, and the notice set forth in the Schedule are the conditions of competition. Any matter arising not specifically provided for in the foregoing, shall be determined by the Committee, whose decision shall be final. 7. THE SOCIETY HAS THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND ANYONE FROM COMPETING WHO CANNOT HANDLE HIS OR HER HORSE. 8. All animals exhibited must be tractable ROCKLEA A & I SHOW PAGE 7

8 ROCKLEA AGRICULTURAL & INDUSTRIALASSOCIATION Inc RING PROGRAMME ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES The attention of intending exhibitors is drawn to the fact that entries are accepted subject to Rules of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies and to the Constitution and Rules of this Society/Association in addition to any special regulations that appear within this schedule. ALL Hack events judged on a 3 Ring Circus method JUMPING EVENTS commence at 8.00am Sunday. WALK THE COURSE 7.30am PONY CLUB events will commence at 9.00am Monday. If Show jumping events have less than 6 competitors, Show Society retains the right to either reduce prize money or substitute event for an event more suitable to the horses present on the day. Rings are indicated for events. Events will follow the order indicated (unless changed by the Ring Master). The Committee reserves the right to alter the order of events and/or ring allocation for those events to assist in the efficient judging of classes. No times (except starting time) are possible as this depends on the horses present on the day. Competitors must be aware of the classes in their ring and present themselves to stewards for Judging as called. Show Society reserves the right to pay 1st Prize only if there are 3 or less Competitors in any event. NO EVENT WILL BE DELAYED BY WAITING FOR OTHER CLASSES TO BE JUDGED. The Society will not be responsible for MISSED events. PRIZEMONEY MUST BE COLLECTED ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT. Sunday Prize money must be collected on the day and will not be available for collection on Monday. PRIZEMONEY WILL NOT BE POSTED. PRODUCT WILL REPLACE PRIZEMONEY WHEREVER POSSIBLE. Winner to receive a Sash and $120. No prize money will be paid until after this event has been completed. (Applicable to led classes only) All led classes will be judged before the riding events commence. All supreme champion winners must compete or owners may risk forfeit of all prize monies won. 42 Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies Young Judges & Paraders Rules To be eligible for the State Finals, competitors must comply with all of these rules: 1. Competitors must be over 15 and under 25 years of age on 1 st May in the year of the State Final. 2. Competitors under 18 years of age must have the approval of a parent or guardian to compete. 3. Competitors are to be a resident in Queensland for at least three months prior to the competition or be attending and educational institution in Queensland. 4. National winners or persons on a national judging panel for that event are not eligible to compete. 5. Sub-Chambers to decide the number of competitors from each Show who will compete at the final. 6. Competitors can represent only one show in the Sub-Chamber Final. 7. A State Final Entry Form must be completed by the winner of each Competition immediately after judging and forwarded to the QCAS State Office by the Sub- Chamber Secretary / Coordinator. STUD BEEF SECTION REGULATIONS 1. All cattle entered throughout this section must have been registered in their respective herd books. 2. Every care will be taken of exhibits, but the Society will not be responsible for any losses, deaths or accidents to stock. 3. Exhibitors will provide their own bedding, feed etc. 4. If doubt should arise in the mind of the judge, in any class, as to the classification of a competing animal, the matter will be referred to the Stewards of the particular subsection for consideration. 5. Ages of cattle entered for competition shall, be taken as at 1 st May All cattle to be the bona-fide property of the Exhibitor for a minimum of three months prior to the Show. 7. All Bulls 15 months and over must have nose rings and bulls under 15 months, all females and steers must have nose rings or nose dogs. 8. All animals must have NLIS identification for scanning purposes (including bulls over 2 years). 9. Waybills must be handed to person scanning NLIS tags. 10. TUBERCULOSIS - Cattle must originate from a property, classified by the Chief Veterinary Officer of the State, as free of Tuberculosis. 11. BRUCELLOSIS Cattle must be confirmed free, tested negative or monitored negative. 12. TRICHOMONIASIS Breeding Cattle must be from a herd in which Trichomoniasis is not known to exist. 13.
