Entries for Mare Grading to be made either postally or on-line. Entry Fee 60. The Come What May Graded Mare Championship will be awarded to the highest pointed mare on the day during the evening performance. For full policy details please visit This competition is open to mares, geldings and CHAPS UK Graded stallions, four years old or over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of the stud books of the Coloured Horse & Pony Society - CHAPS (UK), or the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA). Stallions are required to wear CHAPS stallion discs in order to compete. Riders and owners must be members of the Coloured Horse & Pony Society - CHAPS (UK), or the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA), or The Showing Register (TSR). For height restricted exhibits a valid JMB number must have been lodged with the relevant society. These classes will run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rule book, a copy of which can be downloaded from HYPERLINK These classes are qualifiers for Horse of the Year Show, NEC, Birmingham, 3rd-7th October Qualification will not pass below 5th place. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. Marks will be awarded in the following way: Ride/Performance - 50 Marks Maximum Conformation, Movement & Quality - 50 Marks Maximum. In the case of equality, the horse with the highest Ride/Performance mark will be deemed the winner. If there is still equality at this point, then the judges' decision will be final. Entries for HOYS qualifiers WILL NOT be accepted unless you supply a HOYS ID number for the HORSE, RIDER and OWNER. Foals may be sired by a CHAPS (UK) Graded Stallion or any non-coloured stallion graded with a WBF or DEFRA Studbook; OR out of a CHAPS Registered Coloured Mare. Foals MUST be a minimum of 3 weeks old at date of Show. Foals WILL NOT be shown loose in these classes but WILL be required loose for the Final judging during evening performance. In the event of either Foal Futurity Qualifier class not having enough entries forward to cover top four additional placings from the other class may be invited to compete. A 200 Stud Fee Discount Voucher towards a covering by a CHAPS Graded Stallion, sponsored by CHAPS Gradings, will be presented to the highest placed GRADED DAM within the final 8 placings of the Foal Futurity Final.
