INTRODUCTION Karate is one of the martial arts branches which have served many great achievements for each nation. In order to do coaching on sports achievements of Southeast Asia, especially in karate, Student Activity Unit of Karate INKAI in Yogyakarta State University intends to hold South East Asian Karate Championship "Yogyakarta State University (YSU) CUP VIII" This event is follow-up of last two year program which have successfully held on This event hopefully could stimulate and facilitate the emergence of new talented karateka with great achievements, strong mentality. Furthermore, this is also expected as a promotion event of Yogyakarta State University in global world. South East Asian Karate Championship "Yogyakarta State University (YSU) CUP" 2018 is one of working program in Student Activity Unit of Karate INKAI Yogyakarta State University. This championship will be held on of October 2018 in order to commemorate Hari Sumpah Pemuda (Indonesian Youth Oath Day). Moreover, this event could become a proof that Yogyakarta State University would always put forward the achievement of next gen eration, both of in academic and nonacademic field. In addition to that, this event could hopefully become routine agenda of PB FORKI that can be a place of achievement development and as a benchmark to assess the development of karate achievements in Southeast Asia. As a follow-up of South East Asian Karate Championship Yogyakarta State University (YSU) CUP held on As a moment for introducing culture and local wisdom of Yogyakarta Province and also as promotion event for Yogyakarta State University in global world. 3. As a way of motivating karatekas to keep developing karate in Southeast Asia. 4. As a moment of karateka gathering in order to strengthen solidarity and friendship between karatekas in Southeast Asia. 5. As an event which give chances for karateka to accomplish great achievements and develop strong mentality F. Verification and Body Weighing Day, date : Thursday Friday, Oktober 25 th 26 th 2018 Place : Meeting Room of UNY Sport Building, Yogyakarta Time : am pm GMT+7 3. Technical Meeting Day, date : Friday, October 26 th 2018 Place Time : 3 rd floor of GPLA Building FIK UNY : pm finished On technical meeting every contingent should delegate maximum 2 people (required for officials). 4. The Match Day : Saturday Sunday Date : October 27th 28th, 2018 Time Venue 5. Closing Day : am finished : Sport Building of UNY : Sunday Date : Oktober 28th, 2018 Time Venue H. Participants are karatekas from cadets to senior level of national / private universities / schools / institutions / universities in Southeast Asia which become part of WKF. 2. Every contingent / participants are required to fill registration form in available website and upload the scanned form, including: a. Updated Photo b. Photocopy of birth certificate / STTB / Passport (for foreigner) / ID / SIM / Student ID card which is still valid c. Health Certificate d. Updated Karate Certificate e. Payment Slip 3. Every contingent delegation has to be accompanied with letter of recommendation which have been validated and signed by official karate institution. 4. Every participant is allowed to be delegation for only one contingent. 5. On verification day, participants are required to show original file of: a. Birth certificate/sttb/passport (for foreigner) / KTP / SIM / student ID card which is still valid. b. Updated karate certificate c. Summary of participants and payment data (attached file) d. Contingent agreement letter (attached file) e. Payment slip 6. Every contingent is required to do registration payment by transfer to Bank BNI a.n. CINDY CANDRIKA ANUGRAHAYU with account number: Every participant from kumite class are required to bring WKF-standardized match equipments. 8. Obeying the rules set by committee and paying the registration fee as follows. a. Contingent Registration Fee : IDR per contingent b. Participants Registration Fee i. Individual Kata & Kumite : IDR per participants ii. Group Kata & Kumite : IDR per participants Registration fees cannot be refunded in any circumstances. 9. If there is any incompatibility between the original and copied document, then the committee reserves the right to disqualify the participant. 4

6 Head Office: Second floor of Student Center Building Yogyakarta State University J. REGULATION AND COMPETITION RULES 1. Competition Rules The match rules used are the WKF match rules. 2. The Match System The match system used is a knockout system with 3 joint champions. 3. Drawing Drawing will be done by the championship committe. The result of the drawing will be given and diversified together at the technical meeting followed by the team manager/coach/official of each contingent. There is no revision of the game chart on the day of the match. 4. Dress Code a. Dress code opening and closing ceremonies All athletes and officers are required to wear contingent identity clothes. b. Dress code matches WKF standard clean white-colored Karate-Gi clothes by using the national symbol badge/national federation on the right. c. Dress code Official / coach 5. Kata Official and Team Manager who will accompany the participants using training suit, rubber shoes, contingent jacket, and ID card during entering the game area. The type of Kata played in the match in accordance with WKF provisions. Bunkai Kata contested in the final round. 6. Participants a. The number of participants per class is not limited, b. Each kumite participants is required to use gum shield, hand protector, body protector, leg guard, chest guard for women and face mask for Cadet class according to WKF standard. 7. The winner of the overall champion trophy awarded to the contingent with the highest gold medal, if the same it will be seen the acquisition of silver medals, and perunggu. 8. Other technical and regulatory issues will be explained at the technical meeting. 5

The committe provides a team of doctors, medica personnel, and will provide P3K medical services limited only in the field ot the arena of matches, further treatment/treatment becomes the responsibility of the manager/each contingent. 2. Based on the results of a medical examination, the health team is entitled to determine whether or not the participant may follow or continue the game. 3. The committe does not provide insurance and healt-care insurance for injured athletes. 4. The provisions that have not been made in the proposal may be stipulated and the provisions in the proposal may be changed found. N. ACCOMODATION, TRANSPORTATION, AND CONSUMPTION All accomodation, transportation and consumption are fully borne by each contingent/participant. The committe only gives reccomendations. 7

DISQUALIFICATION Each participant may be disqualified if it does not comply with the rules set by the commitee or the result of the technical meeting s decision or provide inappropriate information/data. Q. SANCTIONS The committe shall have the right to ecamine the identity of the champions and with the authority to revoke the title of the champion, if the person concerned gives false information, and automatically the rank below will replace it. R. OTHER In the event of any matters beyond the capability of the committe (riots/demonstration/natural disasters, etc.) resulting in the cancellation or delay of the execution of South East Asian Karate Championship Yogyakarta State University (YSU) CUP VIII 2018 thus the loss or expenses incurred by each contingent shall be their respective responsibility.
