3 Attached: General Information Categories for Challenges Rules Registration and consent forms General information: REGISTRATION COSTS: $40.00 (one division) $45.00 (two divisions) $55.00 (three divisions) $65.00 (four divisions) FREE Knockdown division ENTRANCE FEES FOR SPECTATORS: $10.00 for day competition $15.00 for day and evening competition $10.00 for Evening Finals Children 7 years of age and under FREE All participants from the day competition can attend the Evening Finals Championship which begins at 5:00PM at no extra charge. 1. All registration forms must be submitted no later than October 31 st 2015, on line. Please note that all participants must be registered ahead of time, NO registrations will be accepted the day of the Championship. 2. We strongly encourage the coach of each dojo to register participants by internet no later than Saturday October 31 st, An additional late fee of $10.00 will be added to all registrations received beyond this date. For additional information, please contact us at Leave a detailed message and we will call you back as soon as possible. 5. METHOD OF PAYMENT for registration fees: CASH ONLY. 6. IMPORTANT: from November 9 th to the 12 th from 7pm to 8:30pm all Kyokushin and Shinkyokushin dojos in the Montreal and surrounding areas participating in the Championship should remit their signed registration forms and payment at the Karate Camille Ohan Dojo. 9325A Lacordaire (St-Leonard) Registration for all participants will begin at 8:00 AM and the official Championship opening will begin at 9:00 AM; November 14 th For the dojos paying their registration the day of the Championship (November 14 th ): all coaches have to present themselves at the registration desk alone at 8:00 am in order to proceed with the payment of his/her students. Once the payment is received and approved, the individual participants will then be able to present themselves to the registration desk to identify their categories and enter the Gym. Please note that the Coach representing a dojo will be responsible to present each individual registration form of their participants with all required information filled in, and signed. NOTE: A parent, tutor, or legal guardian must sign the registration form for any participant who is not 18 years of age to ensure his or her eligibility to participate in the 19 th North-American Championship. 9. The participants from a specific dojo who are not all present and who are waiting to complete their registration, are asked to wait in the designated area (TEMPORAIRE) until the remaining students have arrived. Once all students are present, the COACH presents himself ALONE to the registration area for the payment and approval. Once payment received, students may proceed to the registration tables to be assigned their categories and enter the GYM

5 10. At the end of the first part of the tournament (4:00pm) everyone has to EXIT the Gym to allow the championship crew to prepare the gym for the Evening Finals. 11. NEW RULE: Our Championship does not allow anyone to film during the Championship. Therefore, the 19 th Camille Ohan North-American Championship will designate a SPECIAL AREA at a cost $10.00 for those who would like to video from that area. The access to this SPECIAL AREA will be given to a person who will be identified by a special pass, which will be available at the registration table for spectators. 12. Category Time frames a. The kata, Group kata, weapon kata, musical kata, the semi-contact and Full-contact competition will be held from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. b. The Elite kata, the finals of the Full-contact and the Knockdown will begin at 5:00PM. 13. All participants must wear a WHITE UNIFORM (dogi) for all divisions in the 19 th Camille Ohan North-American Championship taking place November 14 th, 2015 at College Laval. No other uniforms (dogi) will be accepted (ZERO TOLERANCE). 14. 6 age or weight of the fighter(s) registered, and this in order to ensure the safety of those in semi, full, and knock-down combats. Categories: Kata (individual) Group Kata (max: 6 people per team) Musical kata Weapons kata Elite kata Kumite : Semi-Contact, Full Contact, Knockdown N.B: Elite Kata: this category is only for black belts (Tsukino kata to Sushiho kata) 2 categories offered for Elite Kata (Elite junior -12 to 17 years) & Elite Adult (18 years+). This category will be presented in the evening before the Full Contact and Knockdown categories. The Organizing Committee of the 19 th North American Championship 2015 reserves the right to adjust or remove one or more categories based on the number participants, age or weight of the fighter(s) registered, and this in order to ensure the safety of those in semi, full, and knock-down combats.

7 General information- Day Competition Semi-Contact Kumite The Semi-Contact categories will be as follows: - From Juniors to Adults; All participants must be of minimum 5 years of age or more. - Rings with chest protectors (Mandatory): Mini Karate 5 to 8 years old / 11 th Kyu to 8 th Kyu. - Rings with chest protectors (Elective): 9 to 12 years old (Optional) Separate categories; Competitors with and without chest protectors will only be permitted to compete within their selected categories (which will not be combined). - 13years + No chest protectors. Waiting Area When a category number or a specific competitors is called, they are to direct themselves to the identified waiting area. Coaches are not permitted in the waiting area as it is intended for competitors with access being granted only to Championship committee members and personnel. Coaches Each fighter has the right to one (1) coach to represent him on the center court if necessary. Only the coach of each fighter can sit in the designated space near the combat area. The coach cannot, at any time, enter the combat area. Duration of the Bouts: 5 to 7 years The length of the first and only round will be 1.5 minutes Without any extensions. 8 to 15 years The length of the first round will be 2 minutes First and only extension 1 minute 16 years The length of the first round is 2 minutes & plus First Extension 2 minutes Second extension (if necessary) 1 minute

8 Protective gear for Semi-Contact (Foot gear, Shin guards, gloves and helmet) (Athletic support- highly recommended) (Sports-Bra with cups- highly recommended - Women) (Mouth guard optional) All participants must have their own protective gear which conforms with the championship regulations. No equipment will be provided by the organizers. N.B.: Cloth Gloves and thinly padded MMA style gloves will be refused. ***: Eye glasses will be refused in all Kumite categories. This is to ensure the safety of both fighters.

9 BANNED ACTIONS AND TECHNIQUES DURING SEMI-CONTACT KUMITE Straight attacks to the face with feet, shins, knees, or heals Attacks with hand or elbow techniques, to the head, neck or face. Straight attacks to the knee joints Any intentioned attack to the opponent s spine from behind Attacks towards a fallen opponent Stepping repetitively out of the match mat area: Jogai Grappling: Tsukami / Holding or clinching: Kakaekomi. Attacking while hook holding: Kake Tsukami Pushing: Oshi Head butting: Zutsuki Kick to the groin: Kinteki-geri Retreating continually out of the match area and to avoid fighting Constant bad attitude or behavior towards the referee or competition

11 General information- Evening Competition Full-Contact Kumite All fighters must be 16 and older. The registration form must be duly completed and signed for each participant. Each fighter must submit their registration forms by October 31 st, 2015 Coaches Each fighter has the right to one (1) coach to represent him on the center court if necessary. Only the coach of each fighter can sit in the designated space near the combat area. The coach cannot, at any time, enter the combat area. Each fighter must submit their registration forms by October 31 st, The official weigh-in confirmation will take place on Saturday November 14 th, White uniform (dogi) for knock-down fights is obligatory.
