3 Attached: General Information Categories for Events Rules Registration and consent forms General information REGISTRATION COSTS: $40.00 (one event) $45.00 (two events) $55.00 (three events) $65.00 (four events) FREE Full Contact ENTRANCE FEES FOR SPECTATORS: $10.00 for day competition $15.00 for day and evening competition $10.00 for Evening Finals Children 7 years of age and under are admitted FREE of charge. All participants from the Day competition are welcome to attend the Evening Finals Championship which begins at 5:00 PM at no extra charge. 1. All registration forms must be submitted on or before November 4 th, 2017, with late registration extending to November 8 th, 2017 (please see note 2. below for late registration surcharge). *****IMPORTANT NOTICE***** Our first concern is for the security of all Championship participants. As a result, NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BEYOND THE LATE REGISTRATION DEADLINE OF NOVEMBER 8 TH, REGISTRATIONS PRESENTED THE DAY OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

We strongly encourage the Coach of each dojo to register participants by internet ( no later than Friday November 4 th, A surcharge of $10.00 will be added to all registrations received during the late registration period (November 5 th to 10 th inclusively). 3. If your Dojo does not appear in the drop down menu, please be assured that it was not an intentional omission. Please contact us at the following address: fkco.dojos@gmail.com and we will gladly add the name of your Dojo to the list. 4. For additional information, please contact us at Leave a detailed message and we will call you back as soon as possible. 5. METHOD OF PAYMENT for registration fees: CASH ONLY. 6. IMPORTANT: on November 1 th to the 2 rd from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on November 4 th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM all Kyokushin and Shinkyokushin dojos in the Montreal and surrounding areas participating in the Championship should remit their signed registration forms and payment at the Karate Camille Ohan Dojo. 9325A Lacordaire (St-Leonard) Sign-in for registered participants will begin at 8:00 AM and the official Championship opening will begin at 9:00 AM; November 12 th Dojos that will be paying for their registrations the day of the Championship: Coaches are asked to present themselves at the registration desk alone at 8:00 AM in order to complete the payment for his/her students. Once the payment is received and confirmed, the individual participants will then be able to present themselves to the registration desk for sign-in and category identification following which they will be admitted to the Gym. Please note that the Coach representing a Dojo will be responsible to present the registration forms, duly completed and signed, for each of their participants. 9. A parent, tutor or legal guardian must sign the registration form for any participant under the age of 18 to ensure his/her eligibility to participate in the 21st Camille Ohan Branch North American Championship. 10. Dojo Directors/Coaches are asked to wait in the designated area (identified as TEMPORAIRE) for all of the participants from their respective Dojo to arrive before presenting themselves ALONE to the registration desk in order to complete the payment for his/her students. Once the payment is received and confirmed, the

5 individual participants will then be able to present themselves to the registration desk for sign-in and category identification following which they will be admitted to the Gym. 11. At the end of the first part of the Championship (at approximately 4:30 PM) participants and spectators alike are asked to EXIT the Gym to allow the Championship crew to prepare the gym for the Evening Finals. 12. NEW RULE: Our Championship specifically prohibits the unauthorized filming of participants at all times. Therefore, the 21 th Camille Ohan Championship will designate a SPECIAL AREA at a cost $10.00 per person for those who would like to video from that area. The access to this SPECIAL AREA will be given to a person who will be identified by a ` Video pass, which will be available at the registration table for spectators. 13. Championship agenda and times The Championship will open at approximately 9:00 AM as follows: a. Official entrance of the judges; b. Welcome and opening address by Shihan Camille Ohan; c. Traditional Competition photograph; d. Demonstrations e. Elite kata competition will begin at approximately 10:30 AM. This event is reserved for black belt participants only (Tsukino kata to Sushiho kata) and will be divided into two categories, Elite Junior (12 to 17 years) and Elite Adult (18 years+); f. The Championship continues with Kata, Group Kata (4-6-pers. teams max.), Weapon Kata, Musical Kata, Semi-Contact Kumite and Full-Contact Kumite competitions which are expected to end at approximately 4:30 PM; g. The finals for Full-contact kumite categories will begin at approximately 5:00 PM. 14. All participants must wear a WHITE UNIFORM (dogi) for all events/categories in the 21st Camille Ohan Championship taking place November 11th, 2017 at College Laval. No other uniforms (dogi) will be accepted (ZERO TOLERANCE). 15. Full-Contact Kumite: In honor of the 21 th New Generation Kyokushin- Shinkyokushin Karate of, the Camille Ohan Championship, participants for all categories of the Full-Contact Kumite event will not be charged a registration fee (although the registration and consent form must still be completed with each participant s information and duly signed by an authorized person - please refer to paragraph 9 above for definition of an authorized person representing participants under the age of 18).

Categories for the Full-Contact Kumite event will be as follows: Junior Boys (14-17 years)* (Light, Middle and Heavy weight) Junior Girls (14-17 years)* (Light, Middle and Heavy weight) Adult Women (18 years+) (Light, Middle and Heavy weight) Adult Men (18 years+) (Light, Middle and Heavy weight) 17. 7 General information- Day Competition Semi-Contact Kumite The Semi-Contact kumite categories will be as follows: All participants must be 5 years of age or older; Mini Karate 5 to 8 years old / 11th Kyu to 8th Kyu are required to wear chest protectors (Mandatory); Participants 9 years old and above will compete without chest protectors. Waiting Area: When a category number or a specific participant is called, they are to direct themselves to the identified waiting area. Coaches are not permitted in the waiting area as it is intended for competitors and Championship personnel. Coaches: Each fighter has the right to one (1) coach to represent him who must seated on the edge of the tatami. Only the coach of each participant can sit in the designated space near the combat area. The coach cannot, at any time, enter the combat area (tatami). Duration of the Bouts: 5 to 7 years The length of the first and only round will be 1.5 minutes Without any extensions. 8 to 15 years The length of the first round will be 2 minutes First and only extension 1 minute 16 years + The length of the first round is 2 minutes First Extension 2 minutes Second extension (if necessary) 1 minute Protective gear for Semi-Contact Kumite Mandatory for all - Foot gear/shin guards, gloves and helmet. Optional for all - Mouth Guard Recommended for Men - Athletic support Recommended for Women - Sports-Bra with cups

8 All participants must have their own protective gear which conforms to the championship regulations. No equipment will be provided by the organizers. N.B.: Cloth Gloves and thinly padded MMA style gloves are not accepted. *****IMPORTANT NOTICE***** Eye glasses are strictly forbidden in all Kumite categories in order to ensure the safety of both participants.

11 General information- Evening Competition Full-Contact Kumite All participants must be at least 14 years of age. A registration form must be duly completed and signed for each participant and submitted by the registration deadline (see paragraph 1. above). JUNIOR CATEGORY All participants must be 14 to 17 years of age; Participants must be 3 rd Kyu (Green belt /bar brown) and above; *Semi-Contact Regulations apply (see below). ADULT CATEGORY All participants must be 18 years old or above; Full Contact Championship Regulations apply (see below). Coaches Each participant has the right to one (1) coach to represent him/her on the center court if necessary. Only the coach of each fighter can sit in the designated space near the combat area. The coach cannot, at any time, enter the combat area (tatami). Duration of Bouts: 14 years + The time limit of the first round is 2 minutes The time limit of the first extension (2 nd round) is 1 minute The time limit of a second extension (3rd round) is 1 minute

Optional for all - Mouth Guard Recommended for Men - Athletic support Recommended for Women - Sports-Bra with cups *Junior Category only PROHIBITED ACTIONS AND TECHNIQUES DURING FULL-CONTACT KUMITE JUNIOR CATEGORY *SEMI-CONTACT REGULATIONS APPLY, however, strikes to the head, with specific reference to techniques such as Spinning Back Kicks (ura kakato geri), Wheel Kicks (Do Mawashi Kaiten geri) and Roundhouse Kicks (Jodan mawashi geri), are to be administered with controlled intensity. Refereeing staff will have Zero Tolerance to derogations of the regulations in the interests of participant safety. ADULT CATEGORY Same as Semi-Contact Kumite Regulations with the exception of straight attacks to the face with feet, shins, knees, or heals are permitted. The Organizing Committee of the 21st Camille Ohan Championship 2017 reserves the right to adjust or remove one or more category(ies) based on the number participants, age or weight of the participant(s) registered, in order to ensure the safety of those in Semi and Full-Contact Kumite events.
