3 Exalted Ruler Ron Esquibel Brothers and Sisters So many things are happening at this time of year. I would like to thank my officer Corps who stood by me for the last 2 years, the volunteers, the kitchen staff, the office staff, the maintenance staff, and last but certainly not least the Social Quarters bartenders. I would also like to acknowledge my Lodge Activities chair persons for planning and overseeing all of our events, my newsletter editors for constructing and publishing our Lodge bulletin, and my public relations person for generation of flyers and Constant Contact notification of lodge activities, all of whom for the last 2 years have done a phenomenal job. In addition to those mentioned above a special thanks of appreciation to the Canoga Park Emblems Club who has continually rallying behind the Canoga Park Elks not only in volunteering their time, but also in selfless donating of funds to support needs of our lodge. It truly takes a village to make things happen successfully. Please keep in mind that in March which is the last month of my leadership as your Exalted Ruler, we need your continuing participation and support for upcoming events. We all look forward to seeing our membership support for the Installation of officers for the year scheduled for March 29th, our St Patrick's Day celebration with live music scheduled for March 17th, our Quartermania event scheduled for March 24th, so please come out attend the events and continually be a part of your Lodges success.. Once again thank you all for your support during my tenure and look forward to the years ahead. 4 Esteemed Leading Knight Bruce Hershkowitz Brothers and Sisters Another year of success with no signs of slowing down. At this time I would like to thank all of you as members of our Fraternal Organization for allowing me to serve as the Leading Knight for year We had a very successful and event filled year lead by our E.R. Ron Esquibel and our Corp of Officers. Such events as the fabulous Mother s Day brunch, a great Picnic Cruisin Car Show, A Charity Dance, A wacky and hysterical Variety Show, just to name a few and the list is continuing to grow! So hold on to your hats!!! The Canoga Park Elks Lodge 2190 is full speed ahead and is successfully moving Classically Forward. Let us all buckle in and see what continuing success the upcoming Officer Corp will bring. Linda Lewis said her father Howard has an abscess tooth and is on antibiotics. Dave Swoger indicated he recently visited Bob Oler and he is not doing well. He also requested prayers for Dick Dawson who is on hospice. Mike Gallagher reported his neighbor is still in a convalescent home and his wife s brother-in-law has extensive brain damage from a serious car accident and may be taken off life support. His wife s brother-in-law passed on Saturday. He also indicated his neighbor died suddenly on Monday morning who had the flu which is going around. Ken Hamlyn s 37 year old niece passed away. Emblem member Gloria Haskins has passed away from pancreatic cancer. Peter Marshall said he recently had a hernia operation and is doing fine. Bobbie Strelow reported the Lamoreaux Family thanks everyone who has helped in so many ways.les is doing well following his surgery and had his chemo port inserted on Monday. He begins 4 months of chemo treatment on January 29th. On Saturday the 20th Jo fell and broke her ankle. She underwent surgery and will be laid up for 3 to 4 months. Bobbie requested volunteers to help with meals, which she will be organizing. Jo Lamoreaux reported her mother in-law had recently passed away Dave Swoger reported our new member Hal Walker will have rotator cup surgery on January 30th..
