1 NEWSLETTER PRESIDENT S NOTE We're fast approaching the April Car Show event. Remember this is a club event and there is a lot to do. Fund raising seems to be the one that everyone shy's away from. Let's get out there and meet our sponsors and ask them for their help. You will be surprised how easy it is when you tell them the money is for charity. Don't forget this is not the Mark and Don Car Show, it's the LAR&C Car show. 2 EDITOR S CORNER January was a slow month. Our Friday Night Fever was rained and chilled out, but due to our President s hard work, we had a great 3rd Friday Dine Out at Francesco s Italian Restaurant. Not only does he function as President, but he also puts a lot of effort into this dine out event that we all look forward to. Thanks, Bob. Ron Adwers took some pictures at the recent Mecum Car Auction, so there are a few pics of that event in this issue. 6 A note from irl I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the Lake Area Rod and Classic car club for their support, their cards, their thoughts, prayers and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time in the passing of my wife, Jackie. I am honored to belong to an organization such as the Lake Area Rod and Classic car clubs members who will reach out with both arms to offer comfort and an act of kindness to it's fellow members or to those who are in need. Jackie was a wonderful Lady who wore a perpetual smile. Her kindness and generosity made this whole world dance for just a moment. Jackie is now "Saint Jackie"...for putting up with me for 53 yrs. (Our Anniversary was Nov. 4th) Thank you folks...from the bottom of my heart. Thank You 6
